This was supposed to be a routine preventive screening -- my last colonoscopy was almost 10 years ago, I had zero symptoms, and I only did it because their office repeatedly reminded me that I was due. The operative report itself states the procedure was done for screening, not because of any medical problem. Yet Raleigh Endoscopy Center submitted diagnostic codes to BCBS, which automatically triggered a denial. When I contacted BCBS, they explained very clearly that the only reason this was not covered is because the provider coded it wrong -- and that the claim could be fixed if the center simply corrected the coding. When I asked Raleigh Endoscopy Center to correct the coding, they flat-out refused. No explanation, no willingness to review the documentation, no interest in helping resolve the issue they caused. They simply pushed the entire problem onto the patient. To make matters worse, they never informed me before the procedure that they would code it in a way that BCBS would not cover. No warning, no disclosure, no conversation -- nothing. Had they told me, I would have asked questions or rescheduled. Instead, I was blindsided with more than $1,500 in bills for a preventive screening that should have been covered at 100%. The clinical staff were fine, but the billing and coding department showed terrible communication, zero accountability, and a complete disregard for patients. Once they have your money, they do not seem to care about fixing their mistakes. A simple 10-year screening turned into months of stress, appeals, and wasted time -- all because Raleigh Endoscopy Center refuses to correct an obvious coding error. If you choose this center, be extremely careful. Double-check every code, every form, and every insurance detail, because if they make a mistake, they will not fix it -- and you will be the one paying for it.

I was telling them I didn't know a lot of stuff about my family Nevada we don't talk about our issues. The RN. said we "were dysfunctional" How am I dysfunctional because I choose not to have all my information discussed on Social Media, or in church? Then the nurse went on to tell my ride that we were dysfunctional, and discussed my care with them after I said I didn't want her to. Is that a HIPAA violation of what. I liked the providers at the practice, but moved and established care elsewhere…read more From an admin standpoint, it seems they are going out of their way to make the patient experience difficult. The patient portal was changed a few years ago to something much less usable than the prior portal and now, medical records must be requested from an outside company that takes at least a week to provide records (if they are even provided then, friends have had difficulty with the company insisting records were sent when they were not, and the company has abysmal reviews online) that has no ability to track status of a request, and that doesn't have a phone number on its website (wake told me their was a number there, they couldn't find it either, then gave directions to go through a series of clicks on their own website to get the number, and then finally gave me the number). Had the portal not changed, I would have been able to easily download what I needed. Instead Wake made the decision to go to this new system and I cannot even walk into the office and get records - if I walk in and make a request, I'll have to fill out a form that goes to a third party company to get the records. I was looking at establishing care in Raleigh again but I won't be returning. The providers were good but apparently admin does not care how difficult they make the process of managing the non clinical side of being a patient.

**This review is of the overall practice and the PA, I've never seen the doctors here**…read more Overall this was a positive experience, I felt good about the care I received. But at first I was put off and a bit nervous about having chosen this medical office. The decor of the office is outdated and just made me feel like I was about to receive outdated healthcare. The registration forms almost made me runaway. I work in implementation of electronic health records for a living, so the fact that they are fully on paper record made me cringe. One of the forms to sign states that there is $25 fee if you would like a copy of your medical records. In an era where online patient information portals exist for access to medical records, I found this to be very inconvenient and a little wrong. This is the point where I almost ran, but didn't because I had a cold and not a lot if time to find another doctor and schedule another appointment. The wait time was not too bad, probably among the best I've experienced. Once I was in the exam room, I was happy that I didn't leave. The nurse was very pleasant and took my vitals quickly. My provider, their PA Kim, was great. I really appreciated that she took the time to really listen to all of my concerns and addressed them all. A lot of providers don't take the time to that. She also presented me with options, gave me information and let me decide. I really value shared and informed medical decision making. The woes of paper records got back to me when they referred me to labs and x-rays and I had to provide them with all my information again in each of the facilities, plus they spelled my name wrong on the referral. At the end of the day, what really matters is patient care and I felt good about the care, so that is what weighed most in my rating. Pros: -Easy to schedule an appointment for the same week -Short wait time -Caring and friendly health care Cons: -Paper medical records and all their negative implications in this day and age

Liz's inviting attitude and lovely smile immediately makes me comfortable and ready to speak with her about any issues that I may be facing. She offered advice, but mostly challenged me to think differently about my situation, posing questions that forced me to think on my own. She came prepared with exercises, book recommendations, and anecdotes tailored to my personality and therapeutic needs and goals. Liz is great at remembering the details and creates a personal relationship with clients. I always left the office with a new energy, eager to remain positive and face the day! I highly recommend Liz's therapy and practice. Thank you, Liz, for your great work.

She skillfully and patiently helped us work through some of the issues - both immediate and underlying - that had developed in our relationship, and I can honestly say that our relationship is stronger now than it ever has been. We have grown tremendously as individuals and through that growth, as a couple. Liz is extremely easy to talk to, and someone that you warm up to almost immediately. Her strength lies in her ability to listen attentively, and then help you develop the tools you need to resolve conflict and challenges that arise outside the counselling session. She is highly intuitive and does a wonderful job at articulating the importance of perspective, and the control we have over choosing how we want to proceed in life. After having made significant progress on the issues that we were struggling with, my partner and I continue to see Liz once a month. I also have individual sessions with her that always prove extremely helpful. I leave inspired and renewed, much stronger both emotionally and mentally.
