They blatantly lie about the service policies they sell you and as soon as you realize and fill out the paperwork for a refund you never hear back from them. I have made so many calls and left so many voicemails that they refuse to return. I received confirmation of the cancelled policy 3 months ago and they have still yet to issue the refund check I am entitled to. read more

This review is about Service Department. I made an appointment 1 1/2 weeks in advance for an Oil Change and have the gas cap fixed. I told the person I made the appointment that I will be staying and asked how long it will take. Person said 1 hour tops so I say ok great lets book it. I arrive 5 minutes before schedule appointment and was greeted by a guy with an attitude from the get go. I said I am here for my scheduled oil change and gas cap issue. He said it will take 2 to 2 1/2 hours before its my cars turn. I then say I was told it would take only 1 hour as I was staying. Guy says sorry its the holidays. I ask what is the point of an appointment if it is not honored and says the appointment is just to talk to him and thats it. Lesson learned do not go here for service. read more

Short version... at 11am on a weekday, was told an oil change will take 2 hours. Did it take 2 hours? No it did not. it took 3 1/2 hours, and they didn't wash the car. So I "saved" $5 with my coupon by coming to the dealership and wasting hours waiting. I won't EVER do that again. Note to management : Is there an employee break room somewhere? TELL YOUR EMPLOYEES TO USE IT. When I have been waiting 3 1/2 hours for a freaking OIL CHANGE, I don't want to see a bunch of mechanics hanging out in the customer waiting area yapping at each other, eating. I understand everyone should get a lunch break, but don't do it in front of customers that are losing their minds waiting, waiting, waiting. Don't advertise "quick lane" service when it's a total lie. I stopped going to quicky lube places because I thought I was a grown adult and might get better service at a Ford dealership for my new car. WOW, I was wrong. Nothing special about the dealership. I pretty much found my own deal online and the salesman didn't have a clue what options the truck had. They also priced the truck incorrectly and added a destination fee the price since they couldn't go back on their mistake. I also left an item in my trade in and the salesman didn't seem to care about getting this item back for me once he sold me the vehicle. Never saw my item again. The office coordinator up front was the more unprofessional person I have dealt with in a while. No interest in helping and was on her cell phone the whole time. I had a bad experience with this dealership. I traded in a car and ended up owing the dealership 290.00 plus the spare key to the car I traded. It took me a few days to locate the spare key at which time I mailed the key and the check. During these few days I received threatening calls and demands. They were going to come and repo the vehicle I purchased, never-mind the fact that they had possession of my vehicle. They wanted me to give them a credit card over the phone which I refused to do because I had already sent in the check and key. The other issue that I had was that it took almost 3 hours to complete the deal, 2 of which I spent waiting in a room for the finance guy, even thought I did pretty much an even swap. I am a very busy person and this dealership has shown a complete lack of caring about anything but their bottom line. I won't be back there, not even for service. read more

In June 2014 we bought a 2012 Ford Explorer LTD and a Chevy Impala from North Central Ford. After a few weeks the Radio in the Impala would sometimes just scream a pitch that got louder and higher as the engine revved. This never got fixed. For the first few days we thought we got a great deal on the Ford though... until we noticed a 'Clunking' noise in corners and on Bumps. I'd like to think we were good customers because we just kept going back to North Central Ford for all regular and irregular maintenance, over a half dozen times. Every time we'd give them new reports about how and when the clunking occurs. Our 'bargain' Ford had turned into the proverbial clunker. Around 75K miles my wife brought the vehicle in for maintenance. She mentioned that the Brakes were making unusual noises. They put it off as 'Normal'. Weeks later when it got worse she took it back. They claimed we need new brake disks. I called them claiming we would not pay for new brake disks because they shrugged off our warning only weeks before. (In my opinion their negligence turned a simple brake pad replacement into a huge bill.) All the sudden the disks no longer needed replacement, they could be refinished (turned). The Ford had a 100K mile warranty against body defects. On our very first service appointment after 100K miles, North Central Ford finally did end up finding the clunking noise. This clunking WOULD have been covered by warranty had they 'found' it in one of the previous 6 or so visits. In spite of the fact that I pointed this out to them on the phone they charged us over $400 to fix it. read more

Dropped my car off at 8:00 am, they helped me arrange a rental car (covered under recall), and they thought it might take until the next day, but Andrew Carr called and gave me the good news that it was all done by 3:00 pm! Went there after 5:00 to pick up my car, and was allowed to leave the rental car there, and when the valet brought my car around they had washed/detailed it!! Definitely buying my next Ford here. I recently purchased a 2015 F-150 Platinum and was thoroughly pleased with the experience. Michael Nye, my salesman, went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and find the truck that we wanted. After visiting numerous dealerships in DFW, nobody treated us as well as Michael did and that was one of the main reasons that we purchased from North Central Ford. He and his manager, Nino Mansour, respected our negotiations and I believe we both conceded a bit which is what you want in any fair purchasing process. Jishai Lawrence handled the financial process respectfully and efficiently which I greatly appreciated. They also found me an extremely competitive rate for which I rewarded them with my business. Michael Nye took the time to walk me through all of the multitude of truck features which did not happen when we purchased our BMW. He was professional, friendly and eager to serve his clients. The only reason that I docked one star off of the rating is that when I arrived at the dealership, one of the service technicians nearly t-boned my car by not looking where he was driving. He was driving a used corvette for sale and wasn't paying attention to where he was looking and I don't think he even realized that I slammed on my brakes to avoid having him hit me. I mentioned it to a few employees, but they didn't seem to think it was significant which disappointed me. read more

Subject: Proceed With Caution North Central Ford of Richardson has a great selection, friendly staff, and overall fair experience during the purchasing process. This appears to be window dressing for an incredibly poor post purchase support experience. TLDR: Nice before cash in hand. Curt and dishonest after the sale. While I was considering the vehicle I purchased, I expressed concern about maintenance history and inspection of the vehicle. Their listing photos showed a warning light on the dash, which wasn't lit when I test drove the vehicle. So, I asked what the issue was and whether it had been resolved. I was informed that this light was due to tire pressure, which was thoroughly inspected while the tires were balanced and rotated. I was told not to worry, and that the dealership moves more than 400 cars monthly - so rest assured that they're incredibly thorough and all maintenance was up to date. Less than two days after my purchase the light came back. I took the car to my local Toyota dealership and was informed that: The engine thermostat needed to be replaced. The tire pressure sensors were deffective. Engine fluids needed servicing and had not been maintenanced on schedule. Oh, and by the way... There was no way they could have balanced, rotated, or otherwise inspected the tires as the rims were locked on with incorrectly installed lug nuts that would need a specialty tool to be removed. I contacted the dealership - wanting them to resolve the issues. They had stated they had resolved all of these things and completed an inspection - an obvious lie. No one I spoke to including the General Manager cared about me at all - remainign completely indiferent about how their dishonest dealings had impacted me. The only person who showed any sense of human sensitivity and willingness to help me was the Used Cars Manager: Billy Plasket - and to him I'm grateful. Billy agreed to have the car serviced in their service department again and also by Discount Tires - where the tire pressure monitors were to be replaced. At least the two tire sensors that had low readings. Upon inspection, Discount Tire discovered one of the rear tires was not road worthy, and had rotted so poorly in places that they were for concerned for the passenger's safety. Additionally, the other tires were so worn that the entire set of four would need to be replaced to match the fourth new tire. And to top it off, the spare was rotted and not road worthy and it's tire pressure monitor was also dead. But... They did a thorough inspection right? I believe Billy advocated for me - but I'm sure the indiferent General Manager overrode him - because North Central Ford of Richardson declined to replace the tire and dismissed the concern for safety for me and my family. They insisted they had done all they would. To date I'm left with the cost of five new tires, three tire pressure monitors, plus gas time and energy ALL ... On a vehicle I was assured had been thoroughly inspected. I suspect somoene simply cleared the error code long enough to get the car off the lot so somone, unfortunately me, could be taken advantage of. This is shameful. I'm an honest, hard working, single mother. I saved for several years to pay cash for a new car for me and my family. Not only did I not get what I paid for; I got a financial liability I can't afford and a car that put me and my children at danger as we drove on the highway with rotted tires ready to blow underneath us. I'm not sure how these people sleep at night, but I'm sure it must take zoologic doses of tranquilizers to quell the shame of scamming those who already have so slim of margins. If you insist on buying a vehicle from this dealership, do yourself a favor... Have an independent mechanic perform an inspection and pull historic code readings from the computer to see if they've tried to cover any errors they would rather not rectify. Or, save yourself the time and keep on moving. Look elsewhere for integrity and ethical business dealings. read more

There's a lot of negative reviews on here but my story is positive. My husband found a used F-250 online and reached out to Charles Washington. They agreed on the price and my husband and I drove down to purchase it (about an hour for us). Charles greeted us with a smile and was very easy to work with (not to mention that it was cool to work with a former professional football player). The truck had just come out of detail and looked great! For an 8 year old truck, it was impressive how much it shined. After the test drive, we had to wait 20 minutes for finance but other than that it was very painless. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that a fair amount of scratches are showing up now that whatever had been sprayed on the vehicle came off in the first wash. Worst experience with a car dealership I have ever had. I had been working with a salesman all day, communicating via text and phone calls. We had finally come to an agreement all documented via text and when I went up there to pick up the truck they said they could not honor the deal. They tried to tell me they would have never made that deal and when I showed them the text and the salesperson admitted to telling me this they just apologized and said they were still not going to honor it. This is a review for their parts department: The last time I went, probably 3-4 months ago, the guy was very helpful. Got me the right part, gave me a good price on it and I left a satisfied customer. This time, I went and, admittedly, gave the guy the wrong transmission and he gave me the wrong gasket. I told him, "Um. That's definitely not the right gasket." And he says, "Well, it's been updated a couple times." He put one on top of the other as if it matched up. I look at the two and it was like holding up the silhouette of Homer and overlaying the silhouette of Marge and saying, "A perfect match!" Me: "That's definitely not the right gasket." Him: "Then that's not a 4 speed tranny." Me: "Transexual? No, I'm not into that kinda thing. What's that have to do with this gasket?" (this part of the dialogue didn't really happen, but I really wanted to say it.) So he looks up the part for a 5 speed and lo and behold it was the same shape. "I'm sorry, I thought I had a 4 speed." He didn't seem persuaded. The guy at the register was fine and I appreciate that they check your picture ID when you're using a credit card. As I was leaving, they had some donuts for the waiting area - a nice touch. I think it's only on Saturdays. read more

I brought my car to the service department for the first AND LAST time earlier this week. I came in at noon to have a recall taken care of and was told my car would be done around 2 or 3pm... By 4pm I had not heard from anyone and called and was told that they had just finished it and were about to call me. Upon further investigation I realized this was a lie because according to the tracking device I have set up on my vehicle right now the engine had not been started since 2pm. In reality they had finished at 2pm but forgot to call and let me know. Next, I noticed on my invoice that they had done a courtesy inspection but I was not given a copy of this inspection. I brought this to the attention of the service manager before leaving, He returned 5 minutes later with a report that most likely had JUST been filled out with everything checked off as in perfect condition. I knew prior to coming in that my brakes are needing to be replaced soon but according to their "inspection" my brakes were in perfect condition. This service department is both dishonest and unorganized. Two reasons they will not be getting my business again. read more

I sent a pre approved loan application for a specific vehicle I was told was available. I offered to give them a credit card or some other form of payment to secure the deal. I am told someone in finance will contact me to make sure before my wife and I drive from San Antonio, TX to Richardson, TX (nearly a 5 hr drive). No-one contacts me. I call the next day, no one calls back after I explain what is happening. Finally late in the day, I get a text from Brandon a salesman with a video of car. I text back yes, that's the car I want to pick up tomorrow. We speak back and forth a few times, I resend the approval letter as he said he wasn't aware. An hour later I check back and resend him the approval letter and no respsonse. I text him again to ask for update. He tells me a day after I sent approval letter, my driver's license that the vehicle is sold and shares with me they paid "cash". I am not sure if Brandon does not know or just doesn't care but when a bank approves a loan they pay in cash. I guess I was supposed to find some comfort in knowing all the time I wasted with them, the dishonest representation they gave me of their service and what they said they would do would make me feel better because someone else a day later paid in cash. Don't waste your time speaking with these people. They don't have a system to follow up with people and obviously don't care about their name or you! read more

I went out to North central Ford to try my luck years ago and from meeting Todd at the front door to finishing my paperwork in the back I was truly impressed. I cannot tell you how they took me out of an impossible situation and made it work for me and I was so grateful. Now I was not too impressed with that monthly note so I wanted to trade my tuck now that I have had it awhile and everywhere I went told me it was impossible, but I tell you I called Ford and spoke with Jill and she told me to come give her another shot, call Todd we can make it happen. Now I spoke with several other lots after speaking to her that told me I was paying way too much to come to them they could put me in what I want And me knowing my experience with car salesmen in my past I said no I am going to do like Jill said because Todd was upfront before and I don't believe he would steer me wrong. So I took my chances and went back out to Ford and sure enough he did it again, he worked his magic and I got the same awesome team. My son 20 went to buy a used car for his wife and new child the cars msrp was $13,499. he give $5k down payment. 12.99%. my son told the finance guy he wanted only the car no warranty fine North central ford and their funny math is now charging my son $300 a month for 60 months thats 18k. can someone please help me with this math. thats 9k finance charge on a 9k car. Bought a new $72,000 truck and the sunroof quit working. Left it for a few days. Go pick it up still won't open. They loan me a $30,000 truck and tell me that I can't work out of it. A week later I go to pick it up. While still in the bay I tried to open it and it's even worse. I get that the sunroofs are problematic. But this is so common they should be used to repairing them. The guy that did the actual work came out to talk with me and I just ruined his day by bothering him. So being out not using my truck for my business for a week and a half and really costing me money I just left. Taking it to Bob Tomes and hopefully they've worked on cars before. I bought a new F-150 Limited two weeks ago from North Central Ford. The entire staff was awesome, every step of the way. Waseem is the name of the gentleman who showed me the trucks, and he answered every question I had with no pressure at all: he let me dictate the pace of what I wanted to do. Once I knew what I wanted, Waseem handed me off To Emanuel, who started walking me through cost and options. Emanuel was patient, and simply a wonderful person to work with. I had some questions that needed clarification, and Emanuel added Brian in sales to the conversation, and he finalized the deal. Once the deal was done, I was handed off to Mike in financing to do the paperwork, and he did a great job, and was extremely fast and efficient at getting me out the door. I threw a curveball at the team several times after the deal was finalized, changing several options I had purchased back and forth, and they surpassed my expectations and met every single change I requested with no fuss. Today I brought the truck back to get the tonneau cover and bed extender installed, and Juan did a fantastic job: absolutely top notch installation. Whenever I am at that dealership, I can't walk 50 feet without a 'blue shirt' asking me if I have been helped. Andrew in Service did an outstanding job getting me logged in and checking up on me to make sure everything was in order. While I was waiting, 7 other customers walked in, and within 30 seconds, a 'blue shirt' was figuring out what they needed and was getting them in the right direction. The entire team at North Central Ford just made a lifetime customer out of me, and as my two kids approach the need for new vehicles in the next couple of years, I will be going back to the outstanding team at North Central Ford. read more

I purchased a new 2018 Ford Edge in December 2018. It looks so good, and rides great, but there is a problem when you are driving at around 20 miles and hour and give it the gas it sometimes just shuts down. It is like you are running out of gas. Took it to North Central Ford, they were really nice, until they could not find the problem. Service department person told me to take it home and drive it till it breaks, then call them to come and get it. That's going to work real good when I get run over because it want go. I have found on my own that the car will run good most of the time if I use the highest octane you can buy. Makes me believe a tune up would have fixed my problem, but instead I was told it did not have a problem. If this is what Ford is selling, I don't thinks I will even recommend them. read more

My wife was ready for a new vehicle and we had gone to another Ford dealer to check out the different models. We were out with no kids and some time so it was perfect. The dealer did not have much of an inventory so I went on the hunt. Found North Central Ford and they had the vehicle my wife wanted. However, as we were looking she found some different colors and interiors and such and there was only 1 on the lot. We were going to buy in a week and I put a hold check on the vehicle. We went in 2 days before we were going to purchase the Explorer to have her current car appraised and my wife said she wanted to see the vehicle. Come to find out it had been traded to another dealership and there was not another one of them around. So, they had to get the vehicle back. If I could rate only the sales person I would give him, Charles Washington, 5 stars. He was wonderful. Rating the closing and such is what brought the number down. Mr. Washington told us we were next in line and there was no one waiting. Well, we ended up waiting almost 45 min. I am a people watcher and I watched one of the finance people going around the dealership and then he called us in. I asked why things took so long to get started and he said he had only gotten the paperwork 3 min ago. I find this hard to believe. The after sale "go over" of the vehicle was not what I expected. This also brought the rating down. It was like, OK, here is the car. Here is the system on the car and come back in several weeks and I will answer any questions you have. He did not go over, this was not Mr. Washington by the way, the features of the vehicle, what the buttons did or anything just the MyFord system and that was brief. I would have expected the walk around of the vehicle and the showing of how things worked. Granted we were getting out of another Ford but I wanted to know. If you are buying a new Ford, North Central is a good place to go. The pricing is right and once we were in finance the process was smooth. This is a Sonic corporate store so the paperwork is a bit more but that is to be expected. I am hoping the after sales process and follow-up will be a bit better and I will put it down on here. read more

I had been looking for a specific model, a red convertible VW Beetle for months. I had looked online at many dealerships across the country to find one at a reasonable price and with low mileage. I finally stumbled upon a listing on Cargurus of the perfect one at North Central Ford in TX. I am from NC, so shipping the car was a must! Many dealerships who sell cars online have $800-$900 dealer fees, and shipping on top of that hikes the price of the vehicle up $1000-$2000. When I inquired about the car at NCF I was sent a quote with an added $800 fee. I assumed this was a dealer fee, so I proceeded to ask what the shipping would cost. Charles Washington, one of the internet salesmen informed me that the added fee was the shipping cost! No dealer fees or unnecessary costs here! Charles Washington was absolutely amazing with answering any questions I had, sending additional pictures of the vehicle, and was incredibly honest and sincere. When the car arrived a week later, it was in pristine condition, and it genuinely looks brand new even though it is 5 years old! Today was the worst experience I have ever had a Ford Dealership in my 30 years of buying Fords. I was looking at a 2017 Ford F 250 Super Duty Platinum white with 70,000 miles. I drove almost 2 Hours (Four Hours Round Trip) to buy a truck at their Dealership. After spending some time on the phone as well as texting back and forth about the condition of his truck with the Internet Sales Person as well as me discussing mine with pics. His reply was ( fantastic shape reviewed by a 127 point inspection top notch) Well ..... NO it was not. Screens were faded on front cameras, hole in the front air dam, dints in the center console, Cap missing on Passenger Mirror Camera and the top bed cover was not working properly. I think a dealership should be truthful in how they describe the cars they sell. This dealership did not do as good dealerships should do. It was dishonest wasteful and disheartening. The only reason it got one star is because you can't give it zero. If some people read this and decide not to buy a vehicle at this dealership then me wasting more of my time typing this info sheet will be worth it. I wanted to let Ford know about a recent problem I experienced when attempting to purchase a 2017 Ford Mustang from North Central Ford in Richardson, Texas. This purchase would have been my sixth Mustang but after this experience I am considering switching vehicles altogether. I started researching specific Mustangs through auto trader and was able to narrow the vehicle that worked best for me from this dealership. I began communication via North Central Ford's website and quickly had a business card sent to me on 01/14/2017 discussing potential buying options etc. I also want you to be aware prior to going forward with this complaint that I was coming from Morrilton, Arkansas which is 5 1/2 hours there and back depending on traffic. I submitted my pre-approval, discussed the zero percent options available for 72 months through this facility. I was told that he felt confident that he could meet the needs I discussed for my current trade. I let Richard assistant director of internet sales know that I was on my way Monday and left a voicemail when he didn't answer me back. He then emailed me and let me know that he had the car keys in his hands and would be waiting on my arrival. When arriving at the Ford dealership I asked for Richard and was greeted promptly. We then sat down at an open table where he took a copy of my license, insurance and began asking me information about my car and the payoff. I had already given him my VIN number and payoff prior to driving five hours away. He asked me to wait and stated that "James" another associate would be riding with me to test drive the vehicle that I was interested in buying. When going for a test drive I first examined the outside of the car which to my surprise was filthy (dirt all over the car, the driver's floor mat was flipped over with the rubber-side up, there was scratches on the dash and a brown stain on the silver part of the dash). My mother made the comment to the sales man that my car was cleaner than this new one and he stated "No one told me that you were coming today but I will have it detailed which takes an hour". I also noticed that there was something stuck from the bottom of the grill and when asked they said it was a protective covering and that it would pull off. James then attempted to when it began to stretch out and then was told it would have to be buffed to get off. When I got in the car to test drive it there was 42 miles until empty warning on the screen. This shortened my test drive because it made me uncomfortable to drive around when running this low on fuel. When I returned back to the Ford dealership we were asked to have a seat and James asked for my car keys. At this point, I have been at this facility for one hour with no progress made. I had asked for them to get the paperwork ready prior to my arrival to help speed this process up since I had a five hour return home. The internet has helped prevent the constant back in fourth that is often an annoying process between the sales representative and buyer. I was then offered 15000 for my car which is worth 18000-19000. I immediately stated this was not an option for me since this would make the car financed up to 41,000. The sales man then told me that I should give up my zero percent interest and use the rebate offer instead to help with the increased loan price. I only drove down there to get the zero percent offered from this facility. This was not a Ford offer but a specific offer through this dealership so I should have been able use this offer with a Ford rebate since it was two different offers. I had experienced all I could from this facility and asked for my car keys so that I could leave. I kept hearing that I had drove five hours which at this point didn't matter to me if I came home without this dirty car. I waited ten more minutes and was then approached by James and another man who offered me 16,000 or my trade. I then asked again for my keys and was told that my car would have sold for this price new if using the rebates that were offered for a 2017 model so this is why they were offering such a low amount for my car. I then asked for my car keys again which is when they finally gave them back to me. I WILL never buy from this dealership again and will be sure to post and tell everyone I know what a shady and terrible facility this is. Worst auto buying experience ever!!!! read more

I'm still pleasantly surprised. I just purchased a pre-owned vehicle from their Internet Department and I was very pleased by how well everyone treated me from the emails, phone calls and face-to-face interactions. As a female shopper, I was treated with respect and courtesy throughout the entire process. I would gladly look to them again when I'm in the market for another vehicle. read more
