NORTH CENTRAL FORD Decided to stop and look at a pickup I found on line. Met a nice young salesman, showed me the Truck (stuck among 150) my wife dreads car sales cons! (she sat in passenger seat as my anti-hide the keys)the salesman drew up the offer by hand ?? ,( SEE Caredge.com) he gets my veh appraised, returned with a computer generated offer: the "add ons" includes "Phantom footprint"??? $300. (in case you can't clean up a spill, or stain) "Permanent plate" $1,295. ( just in case you have some other issue you will not recall you have this) , Convenience fee$10.00 ( because you came in) processing fee $4.95 (because the salesman needs a pen n paper) doc fee 157.95 (because they know you will not tell them no) title fee $33. (part of your doc fee, but hey let's add it anyway) license fee $35- $150 ( isn't that what the state charges, and gives you a pair of License plates) there is that pesky VIT FEE What is that you ask ? Vehicle inventory Tax ( something that they have to pay) But what's really cool is the ambush as I leave to ponder those DAMN UNKNOWN FEES, the sales manager caught me at the door. while the salesman says "I'll make you a copy of this swell (inflated) "deal" , (computer generated you can make your own, hit print). WHAT CAN WE DO TODAY (to force you into NOT questioning the fees, low ball your trade???? ) TO GET YOU INTO THIS VEHICLE. Nothing I replied! After challenging him I walked out the door. A few minutes later I get a phone call: my trade in value went up, the "fees" were removed some were reinserted under a different title, for about $300. (still hiding that pesky VIT) they keep calling. Why dont they make the best deal with out the hounding? Could be interest rates or there is something else? So why are others not so happy with "extended warranties" for other things. because that is how they make money, over your NOT asking them to remove the "add ons". the sales manager may approve some, but you can almost bet the finance guy will work on you. if the dealer does not video/ audio record your sales transaction you may be on the short end. I even received a call a few days later, telling me the Truck was ready for me. Told him you should have done the right thing to began with, stacking add ons without so much as an attempt to give me the best deal. read more

Made an appointment to bring my brand new F-150 in for some warranty work. Got a date and time. Later I get a text from a Seth in the Service Department stating that even though I have an appointment that I will need to leave my truck for at least a week before they can EVEN do a diagnostic for the items that need fixed, then it is no telling how much longer they would have to keep my truck. They were that backed up. I asked to just bring my truck in when it got close to when they would be able to at least look at it. I was told no because sometimes people don't show up (hard to believe) or are late. This makes zero sense because if the next vehicle up to be looked at or worked on doesn't show up then go to the next one. Well the service advisor went on to tell me how busy they were, how many work orders each and every mechanic had and blah, blah, blah. Never once answered why they couldn't just have me bring mine in at a later date and then wait to be diagnosed. I don't mind leaving it a day or so till they get to it but to leave it a least a week just sitting in there parking lot instead of in my driveway or garage made, again, zero sense. Seth did try to tell me that other dealers were weeks and week out to look at vehicles in for service. I called 5 Star in Carrollton and they offered to come pick up my car and bring me a loaner if needed that very day and would get to my warranty work asap. I just think North Central Ford Service Department needs to take a look at themselves and try and emulate other dealerships instead of whining and making excuses. read more

North Central Ford, Richardson, Texas has the worst Service Department ever. Buying a car here was a great experience. I bought a 2021 Ford Bronco (converted to 2022) and the dealer was great with the purchase and did not charge any additional dealer fees. In early January I had to take my Bronco in for service with a charge fault warning. From the first meeting Jim (senior service advisor) was looking for an out not to cover the warranty service. He was claiming the truck was submerged and most likely would not be covered even before the Bronco was taken in. The Bronco was taken off road once and never submerged but it was splashed, very normal considering it is an offroad vehicle (I have pictures). After two days I got a quote texted to me for over $1300 to replace the alternator. I immediately called Jim to discuss and he kept claiming the alternator was submerged and this was not covered due to using an offroad vehicle offroad, abuse in his words. I talked to Gary the Service Department Director and it was absolutely useless other than for him to tell me that being submerged and splashed are exactly the same. According to him they are the same and just a matter of semantics. He was also supposed to follow up on a wiring issue that was in a Ford TSB and he never did. What a joke! I refused the service and when I went to pick up my vehicle they even tried to charge me a $195 diagnostic fee. From the top down the service team at North Central Ford is a total failure when it comes to customer service. Fast forward to March 2023, Ford issues TSB 22-2392 and Ford is now covering the alternator issue when used off road. read more

Been waiting on a recall fix since fmc authorized the recall in feb 2023, it's now almost august.. made 5 phone calls, never got a call back. Went to dealer he said it would take 7 days before they could even look at it, and not sure parts were even ordered to fix the recall, meanwhile I called ford they say parts for recall were plentiful and the dealer just needed to place the order.... I have a known factory issue with my 2006 Ford F150. I made an appointment for Service on Wed. I got a text on Tues stating they are pretty backed up and I would need to leave my truck for 4-5 business days before looking at the problem. and they have no loaners available. So I called and said no problem. Just schedule me 4-5 or 10 days out I can bring the truck by, but I cannot be without my only vehicle. But NO, I just to have it sitting in a parking lot and they will look at my problem when they can. I would not buy a vehicle from this place much less have them work on it. It was the most humiliating experience we have ever had with an auto dealership. We were treated extremely poorly, including being told that "we obviously could not afford to buy the vehicle we were interested in", then our salesman left us and proceeded to drive the vehicle back to its space on the lot. We were still sitting in the dealership attempting to do the numbers by hand on a sheet of paper that was left at our table. About 15 minutes later, the salesman walked by us again and asked what we were doing. I told him that we were trying to determine what the vehicle would cost us after deducting the trade in amount. He stated "oh are you all serious about purchasing" I responded yes, I'm trying to calculate how much we needed to put down, maybe 5k or 6k to be in the finance/payment range needed for our household budget as this would be purchased as our 3rd vehicle for leisure. He then seemed to think that we might be able to purchase the vehicle. He then asked for both of our credits scores. We both shared that we are well qualified, but would be using our credit union to finance the vehicle. We provided Mr. Washington our loan application reference number to call our credit union to process our paperwork. He left for about 20- minutes, then returned with a Ford credit application. He asked us to complete the application because he believed that we could get a better deal with Ford. We again stated that we have financing in place. By this point we were in the dealership for 2.5 hours attempting to purchase a vehicle. I asked the sales guy if the finance department has contacted our credit union, he stated no; I'm waiting on you to complete the Ford credit application. Nothing at this point had been provided to finance department for the purchase. I asked Mr. Washington to at least start the process with finance as our credit union would be closing soon. I also asked to test drive the vehicle. I didn't get an opportunity to test drive the vehicle before Mr. Washington drove the vehicle back to its space on the lot earlier in the day when he assumed that we couldn't afford the vehicle. I asked for a print out of the quote/deal and if he would still waive the Permaplate fee, as he initially stated that he would do. It was still listed on the quote. He stated that you are already getting the best deal That we could get on the price of the vehicle. I asked if a manager could help us, then he stated 'I am the manager, there is no one higher than me, which was untrue. Immediately after we arrived and sat Down at the dealership. The manager came to our table with a quote/deal sheet that wasn't for us, it was for the couple sitting next to us. We never got an opportunity to speak with the manager about our purchase. We finally headed back to the finance area and were accosted again by Mr. Washington regarding the ford credit application. My husband stated that we were not going to apply with Ford and if he asked us again, that we would just leave. Mr. Washington raised his voice and yelled "you can leave now... GO"! I asked my husband to come into the finance office and to not pay any attention to Mr. Washington as he was obviously having a bad day. It was a terrible experience. I have always purchased and serviced my vehicles at Park Place Motorcars due to the wonderful service and treatment received each time I visit the dealership. The purchase is just the beginning. A good purchase experience is what typically causes the customer to return again and again for service after the purchase and for future purchases. North Central ford failed in the customer service area. Hector in finance was cordial and professional. The only reason that we finalized the deal was that we liked the vehicle, and the vehicles price. I travel for work often and don't have the time to go elsewhere and start all over to locate and purchase a vehicle. read more

After having several issues with this dealership, from undisclosed damage to my vehicle, to delay delivery time, to decisions being made for me versus me being asked. I noticed that my deductible was $500 on my extended warranty, no one ever asked me what I wanted my deductible to be they just assigned me $500. I even asked why my extended warranty policy was so cheap, and he told me that I had the best warranty, and never disclosed my deductible amount. This was an out-of-state transaction, so there was room for error, but those errors should be corrected especially when it's their job to disclose everything, and they offered to fix it free of charge. I spoke with the finance manager Charles, and HE OFFERED to update it to $100 free of charge. This made me feel better about the things that I went through, at least they were trying to fix things. I called to check on the status of that update, and they are acting like they never said it. I asked him to cancel every policy that I bought from them, the permaplate, and whatever else, and they lied and said that they couldn't. I called permaplate and they informed me that the dealership has to cancel the policy. All they do is lie and deceive, please don't buy a car from them you will regret it, they have ZERO integrity and play the victim when you get mad after their errors inconvenience you. read more

Every person that I dealt with had a good attitude and I never felt like I was being oversold. The automobile that I was interested in was cleaned and all of my requests were made good, I purchased a used automobile and I am very happy with the purchase and the experience. It's hard to make a good experience buying a car in most cases since both sides need to fulfill an agenda, but under the circumstances of buying a used car, I can honestly say that everything that I imagined and wanted happened. They charge an hour labor to diagnose the problem - even if you tell them exactly what is wrong. B. They claim that hour labor will be applied to work - but that simply isn't the case: They quoted me 2.5hrs for a job that should have been 1.0 hrs. C. The shop fee is excessive. For a fee that shouldn't exist in the first place, this gem has grown into a 16 percent surcharge over everything else. D. The sales team is hit or miss but overall they are too busy to help or care. Just bought a used Cadillac CTS from this dealership/Crooks. Here is my story. Found a awesome Cadillac CTS 2016, salesman forced a extended warranty down our throats, beware, literally told us we could t take it off. Argued back and forth for 15 min till my wife said let it go. 6 months later they won't pay up for a thermostat and arguing about labor times and left me on the hook for 850 bucks! I done called managers, service advisors, even Cadillac called and got involved because they were upset a warranty that clearly states they cover it and they wont! Learned my lesson, never dealing with this Ford dealer ever again, and walk away from extended warranties from dealers! Deal breaker! Knew buying anything from Ford would be bad! BEST DAMNED BUNCH I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. (Long Review) My wife and I just bought our first new vehicle together. It was time and we had the pleasure of dealing with Julie Plasket as our sales rep and Michael Potocki as our finance guy. Both were awesome, did everything they could to help us out. The wife and I both have recently married but have been together since 2014, we both had rough credit (thank you Ex's) and have spent the last few years getting that hammered out. I am not perfect yet, but I have good credit now; enough so that Julie and Michael did a hell of a job getting us into our new Chili Pepper (Hot Pepper Red Metallic with Tinted Clearcoat)2019 Ford Ranger XLT. Did we get 'Everything' we wanted within our budget? No, but it is a give and take when you are on a budget, beside I really wanted the package, and I can go back and get it anytime, especially for that Spray In Bed Liner, LOL!! I gave them an area I wanted to stay in on payments, and they did their best to keep me there. Was it exactly where I wanted? No, but again, I made sure to give myself a little wiggle room ($100), and they kept me well within that wiggle room. First time I didn't feel like I was getting screwed over by a car salesperson or finance manager {insert phony Cockney Accent} 'I felt treated like a right proper person by that lot I did, LOL.' Julie is a very sweet and lovely woman, great energy, she listened to us, explained our options given I was a little upside down in my trade-in and showed us several new options we had over buying used. This included several Ford incentives and the like. Would I be paying more? Yes, but I get a NEW vehicle, with incentives for slightly more than used with my roll-over. I was given a very fair price for my trade in, actually more than I was expecting and Julie made me (a gloomy Gus) feel good, given I knew I had a rough credit history, no matter how good my credit is NOW; we carry that bad for a while and it makes you feel vulnerable. Julie pulled my Credit Score, I was in shock how GOOD it was, and it was something they could definitely work with. Julie seemed to understand and was encouraging, much appreciated to. Michael (BIIIIIG MARINE, but cool as hell...ooo, Semper Fi) was amazing with the numbers, he wheeled and deal'ed, got us a good package with 'almost everything we/I wanted' (I can pick it up later as an option add-in or purchase, especially that spray in bed liner) and I didn't feel like we were getting screwed by some emotionless number monkey. He seemed to care and seemed legitimately intent on getting us the best rate, prices, finance options/packages and out the door with our new truck. Look, short of it is, I went in thinking it was a mistake, thinking I had little to no chance of walking out with anything but embarrassment and Here is what I didn't experience 1 Skeezy Sales People licking their chops like you're their next victim. 2 15 people running in and out, talking to me, telling me confusing crap. 3 Whispers and Stares from sales people and sales managers. 4 Feeling alone and abandoned once they got my financial info. 5 That feeling I am about to sign my soul to the Lords of Hades and wind up agreeing to pay hundreds more than I wanted. What I did Experience 1 Concern for my needs and desires in a new car. 2 People RESPECTING and trying to do their best to get me what I wanted in a price range I knew could afford WITHOUT PRESSURING ME OR OVER SELLING. 3 Someone encouraging me when I was feeling like I had made a mistake even trying, giving my past Credit History. 4 Someone jumping through hoops on my behalf, to get me the right financing at the right interest rates complimentary to my score 5 People who made me simply feel like I was not only welcome, yes I know that is their job, but I mean genuinely had feeling behind it. 6 People who knew I was expecting the worst, but kept insisting I was wrong, and I was. My husband traded in a 2015 F250 for a 2021 F250. They miscalculated sales taxes owed because we live in Louisiana. Now they are refusing to give him the plates until he pays an additional 2100.00 The sales contract doesn't say it's a guesstimate of taxes, nor does it allude to that. We called a lawyer today, dropped off papers and are letting him deal with them. Went to test drive a Mach-E. Walked in and was told sales rep would be right with us. Waiting room empty. Charles came out, asked to dine Mach -E, told they didn't have any on the lot. Another salesman and myself pointed out there was one just outside the door. Charles got key and took me for "test drive". This consisted of 5 turns and a giant circle on slide residential streets filed with still signs. Maybe drive two miles. Rep unable to answer basic questions. When we returned to dealership, had to open back doir as kid locks were on. Opened hatch them for in back to check space. Both back doors were locked and Charles had gone inside, leaving us LOCKED IN THE BACK seat. One of us had to climb over the back to open the door from the outside. Bob Tomes Ford - McKinney, TX 2. Five Star Ford - Plano, TX. Yep....I have been around the block now in the last going on 3 years, regarding anything from a basic Oil Change to a Head Gasket recall on my Wife's, 2017 Ford Focus RS. Now, let's start with my all time favorite.... Bob Tomes Ford - McKinney, TX. These guys are well straight up OG, not giving a hoot or concern or care for anything that pertains to anything regarding the concept of Service and warranty work. Not only do the Bob Tomes Service employees not care, well they like to put a 100 miles of Joy Riding on your Wife's RS, while it's in for an "oil change".. and they didn't try to hide it, given the gas tank was then empty when we went to pick the car up. OH.. my FAVORITE part, was then the ( now since fired ) assistant Service Dept Manager tried to hand my wife cash to fill up with gas and for us to well, not say anything. Classy, all the WAY!! This is one of a notebook of incidents at this dealership.. so, FYI - you have been warned. ( One PLUS to Bob Tomes - If you want your car note paid monthly out of their pocket, simply take your car there for a warranty or service concern - you wont see it again for 8 - 10 weeks... BIG SHOUTOUT to the Bob Tomes dealership for paying my wife's car note, because well, they could r complete the Warranty work in under 10 weeks. ) Five Star Plano - ughhh, well. I have a classy review for them already on Yelp. One that clearly defines the issues in the service department. No more to say - except the following: Wife's RS, had been to both of these Service Departments I've the last two years. Now, oddly enough, the head gasket recall which was done on my Wife's RS at Bob Tomes Ford McKinney - THAT was a cluster unto itself. Yet as we discovered some now months later at North Central Ford - engine had a Head Gasket leak and Oil pan leak. Hmmm...now how is it the dealership whom did this didn't notice after, and well obviously Five Star Service didn't either?? Bam, FIRST trip to North Central Ford - Richardson TX, the techs there not only saw and found it, well, they actually FIXED the issue. And well, since it falls u see a workmanship issue at Bob Tomes Ford - that just again via to show you... Overall, North Central Ford - Richardson, TX service dept, OUTSTANDING! From the service techs, specifically Andrew - to the master tech Dustin ( who fixed the wife's RS CORRECTLY ) simply could not ask for anything more. Absolutely amazing. Service here is extremely lackluster. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the first time I dropped off my car. No one communicated with me when me car would be done with a routine tuneup. Which was basically an oil change and filter change. I had to call at the end of the day to ask when my car would be ready. Fast forward to today. I dropped off my car at 7am. Took an Uber to work, and waited ALL DAY LONG again for someone to call me to tel me the car was ready. Again... I called only to hear that no one had looked at my car yet. Finally someone told me that I'd have to leave it 3-5 days for them to figure out the problem. I have a young child so leaving the car isn't an option since I'm responsible for getting her to and from daycare. They were very unwilling to help me solve the problem, only telling me that they have 2 loan cars that are reserved for "more serious" issues. I'd have to arrange a rental myself. When I arrived to pick up my car, not a single person acknowledged my presence. I paid for my oil change and the cashier handed me the paperwork and the key. I went outside to get in my car, and realized no one had bothered to pull it around. So I had to walk back thru the service parking lot to try to figure out where my car was Like I said.... service here is AWFUL. Don't expect to get an update on your service. My spouse and I took our vehicle in for a oil leak only. Which the Service Adviser. JA.which I want put his complete name. Horrible service and do not tell the truth. Along with there service director GD. In reach I want put his full name very unprofeasional. We paid a diagnose fee which was around $170.00 i believe to let us know what was the issues with our car. We received a phone from JA letting us know that the oil leak need to be replaced with a cord... It took several days 3to 5 days to fix our car.. Upon picking up our car when we got home the pilot leak was still there nothing was done. They patched it up with silicon blue glue. Not only that our radio was not working at all. I left several messages for JA. and he finally call back and told us to bring the car back. And they will look at it. My spouse is Hispanic and they thought he was dumb and stupid in which this was very heartbroken disrespect and unprofessional how they were treating him. Telling him the second time now we have a transmission leak. And we had to pay for the part and they could do nothing about our radio. Unbelievable. I then start calling attorneys and try calling there director of service GD. He called back so kind and nice at first. Told us we had to pay for the transmission part and he will cut the cost for labor. Unbelievable. We never went in for a transmission leak it a oil leak I ask when the diagnose the car the first time why didn't they see a code or sign of a transmission leak. Which was a lie. They never fix the oil leak but there so call license technician was called in the office with the director of service GD . Explaing his side and it was an oversight. How in the hell can this be a oversite the car was never fix. What he are they did unplug unhook completely messed up the transmission and radio. No one had no explanation of the cause. I called my warranty department and they tried to get them to pay for a radio that they messed up and the transmission which they messed up. It was not cover they were untruthful to our warranty department and we have reported this dealership as a bad dealership in the service department. To watched all claims.that they submitted. The service director GD told us we had to pay for a transmission part leased then $50.00 and the service Adviser JA told us the part was $100.00. You see they unprofessional not communicating effectively with each other. We ask why are we paying for a transmission leak and part and it was a oil leak. My husband and I went in and asked for a specific salesperson. We had encountered this salesperson on a previous shopping trip. We were wanting to test drive an EV. This salesperson seem irritated with us. He left us outside in the hot sun while he went in and got the key and made himself coffee. While driving the car, we asked questions and he seemed aggravated, giving us terse answers or even interrupting us before we completed the question. He got irritated when my husband and I switched to test drive because the car was turned off. He said, "please, turn the car back on, I don't know why he turned the car off." He allowed me to take a very short test drive around the block. When we went into the dealership, he never offered us a seat and looked up information about pricing on the computer by the front door while we stood there. We asked if there were any specials or deals and he tersely replied, "there are always deals." Needless to say, I can't spend money at this dealership. Did an online inquiry about a vehicle, the inquiry asked how I wanted to be contacted, so I selected Text as I was working at the time. 3 minutes later I get a phone call from a guy named Sam. I explained I had set my contact preferences to text, and asked why he was calling. As opposed to acknowledging the error his next words were "how soon can you come in" in a condescending tone. Went back at two they said it would be 2-3 hours. The adviser said the appointment was only for the adviser not the service.Does this make sense. read more

From my first interaction with this dealership, I knew I was in good hands. I have a company need my daughter on two recent purchasing experience this year and have been impressed both times. My daughter had the very unfortunate experience of totaling a car shortly after she bought it. The fortunate part of her experience is that no one was hurt however her car did not make it. Thankfully for gap insurance she was able to get another brand new car after hers was totaled. And both of our experiences we met with a sales consultant named Noah. I can't say enough great things about him. He was helpful and he worked quickly and we were very impressed with the service that he provided. Are only negative part of the entire experience was waiting for the finance people. Noah finished his part of the purchasing experience quickly and efficiently but then we waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited for the finance people. As I observed I felt like there had to be a better way to do things then to have a whole bunch of people in a holding pattern to talk to one or two people that were working there on a Saturday. Process was smooth, fair, and first class all the way. I want great service, great products, and fair pricing. This dealership accomplished all three. North Central Ford - 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty - Car Dealers Near Me - Richardson, Texas

I can't even begin to explain all the issues I have had with this dealership. Everything from losing appointments to rude customer service and incompetence. Any time I call trying to schedule an appointment, they tell me it'll be two weeks out and that they'll need my car for a minimum of 4 days. Even for things like regular maintenance. Unlike literally every other dealership, your car has to be physically on the lot to be in line, instead of you simply bringing your car in when the placeholder (i.e. appointment time) reaches the front of the line. They claim this is a more efficient method. I think it's simply a lazier one. As far as I'm concerned, they can go blow smoke up someone else's a**. It really is ridiculous that despite all the negative reviews, they have yet to try and change anything. Save yourself the stress. Go LITERALLY anywhere else. read more
