I do not recommend this location. The last three or four times I've been there it's been trouble. They keep getting a new manager but it only gets worse. This time it took him almost an hour while they were messing with everything trying to sell me something else instead of just changing my oil. In doing so they somehow broke my turn blinker assembly. The next day I noticed was missing so I called and talked to the manager that had worked on my car the previous day. I've called repeatedly and been back three times he's never there or calls me back. The light bulb was fine in there. Why they touched it I don't know. I've been to the one in Allen before. It's much more professionally run. I recommend you do the same. Hope they'll get rid of that crappy manager but I'm not going to go back so I'll never know. Valvoline has it down to a science. They check a lot of things that may seem minor but when do you ever check them? I worked with David, Elijah and Angel all of whom were professional and conferred with me on my filters, battery, fluids, wipers, non of which needed replacing but good to know. In addition they do a safety check on lights, tire pressure etc. plus if you check beforehand you can usually find a coupon for $25 or more. Great service - highly recommend! read more

Decided to come here to do an oil change instead of my usual Groupon deals, which seem to always entail too much trouble. There was no wait when I came in. Told the rep that I just wanted the special oil change price. He understood. I went to the waiting room to hang out until they completed the change. The guys check the air pressure in the tired and topped off the radiator fluid. After about 5 minutes, they came back out to let me know that whoever did my last oil change stripped the oil plug and didnt put the gasket back in that plug.. UGH... I've been there before, but I've never sat in my car to wait until this last time. I saw how professional the guys are. They were calling out every step they were taking. It showed they work really well together and have great communication. They definitely knew what they were doing and they were finished in 20 minutes. I hate trashing places but I think two stars is fair after many perfectly fine 3 star visits, a 2 star experience, and then one very very 1 star day. I went here many times because it is right on my way home from work. There was always a car or two ahead of me so nothing was "instant" about my oil changes but they were fine. They do often try to upsell but I like that they show you the new oil on the dip stick, it's like "look! we're really changing your oil!" But then once I got my car inspected there. All was well until I was driving home and noticed something odd on top of my trunk. I could see it out of my rearview mirror and it kinda freaked me out. Was this part of my car they forgot to put back in!? Also, it could have easily flown off my car and hit someone behind me! So I called them to say, yo, you left a mystery part on top of my car. And they weren't really apologetic at all, they kind of just acted irritated and wanted to know the soonest I could bring it back. I did not care for the way that was handeled. (It turned out it was part of the emissions testing kit.) But I kept going back because I am lazy and did I mention it's really convenient? But the last straw was when they didn't put something back on correctly after an oil change and all the oil leaked out of my car. It could have been worse, I didn't ruin my engine and was able to get another shop to look at it and replace the oil for free (they get five stars!) I had to go back and ask for a refund, which was awkward because they don't have a desk inside to talk to a rep, you have to talk to them outside in the hot ass garage. But they did give me my money back and told me I'd get a discount on a future oil change. Like I'm going to get my oil changed there again! Obviously, the two bad experiences were the work of individual empoyees and individually these incidences wouldn't necessarily indicate a huge problem. But combined it gives me the impression that the quality control/customer service at this shop is lacking. So basically, buyer beware with this place! read more

Only stopped by here for my state car inspection but was really impressed with the professionalism of the staff. These guys had me in and out in a matter of minutes and both the check in and check out processes were handled in a very cordial businesslike manner. That's not something I have found with many competing shops over the years. They even made sure I knew of the State's new inspection process and their reduction in fees associated with it. I will likely be back. For what it's worth, they are very convenient to George Bush but if you are headed that way at the end of the day be prepared for a lot of traffic in both directions on Jupiter Road. If that's when you come, it may be easier to get there from Plano Parkway and drive through the lots of the nearby businesses (enter by Wells Fargo on the SW corner). read more

Went to this place today to get an inspection. After waiting in the parking lot for 20 minutes the mechanic drove my car around the building came back and said my brakes didn't "feel right" and I needed to go get them done and come back. I'd just recently had my brakes done but didn't feel like arguing. So I said ok and went down the street to another place and everything passed immediately. Not sure what the guys problem was but there's nothing wrong with my brakes. This is the kind of subjective nonsense that need to be taken out of the state inspection process imo. read more

I would say this place is actually 2.5 stars worthy. Like a "could be better.. But could be a lot worse" sort of thing. It's not a bad place to get things done for your car. However, the people need to be a little more friendly towards customers. They seem to be ready for you to leave as soon as you pull up. (Do they not get paid more for the services they perform? I'm curious since they always try to sell you a new air filter you truly don't need.. Or windshield wipers that cost 4X more here.) If you can get over them seeming irritated with your presence, it's a decent place. Usually dead around 3:00PM. A great time for Inspections or oil changes. read more

I normally change my oil myself but due to crappy weather, I had to use a service station this time, since I was on my way out of town. I'm glad I went here. They were very efficient and thorough. I chose the full synthetic as I normally do when I change the oil myself. I've always used Valvoline products and have never been disappointed. This is the first time I've used a Valvoline service and it met my expectations. I felt the pricing was more than reasonable for the upgraded synthetic oil change. Stopped by this place for about the 40th time. 4 cars oil changed here, filters, wipers, etc changed here for a decade. Today the inspector tells me my car wont pass inspection due to my power steering lines were leaking. They could change it all out and it would pass. Only they don't leak, and he could not show me where it was leaking. He was screwing with me. I went to another place and it passed fine, and I was informed he had no idea what the other guy could be talking about, which confirmed what I saw. I will never go back here. read more

It was super hot in the waiting room and one of the employees noticed we were fanning ourselves and ran in to turn down the AC. The first time I visited this location, I went on the recommendation of my husband who said the service was outstanding. I strongly agreed after my first visit. I went there today for an oil change and inspection and was blown away again my their friendliness and great customer service. The manager Kelon is amazing and such a wonderful person. While waiting for my car, I had a chat with an elderly woman who told me just how nice the entire staff was. In the middle of our chat, Kelon walked in to tell her about her options for her oil change. Afterward, she told him whatever he thought would be best. She also said she only drives about a hundred miles a month. Kelon could have gone with the most expensive product but instead, he just smiled and said " Ma'am you don't need all this. The basic will be just fine." Not only was he kind to this woman and everyone else there, he showed his worth. He is a man you can trust and that is not always something you find when it comes to individuals in sales. He earned her business and again earned mine.
