Bad experience. My primary recommened this hospital for my colonoscopy. I got one phone call a month ago to set it up on a Monday and then no more communications until the Friday before my procedure. I couldn't get to the call until after 5pm at which time they were closed. Why didn't they call earlier in the week? I got a text on Sunday telling me they now have security gates. In this text was the name of this hospital. This was the first time I knew the name. I never got a text or email detailing my pre-op procedure. I tried calling on the Monday of my procedure but no one answered my call. It is now Tuesday and no one has reached out to me. read more

Too bad I have to give this rating as I had a wonderful experience with all involved in my surgery. Here's the bad part; I made arrangements to pay my bill in monthly installments. I made 4 payments on time, then they failed to cash my May check. I called and they said they would keep a look out for it. Didn't receive June bill, called about that, the guy in billing said he would send it out. It never came. May check still uncashed. I suspect they have turned me over to collections but I never answer those calls because of scammers. This is a very unprofessional outfit and unless you are rich and can pay upfront, I cannot recommend this surgery center. Someone is not doing their job in billing and they expect me to do it for them? Nope. I'm old and don't need the stress. read more

Bad experience here that I will never forget. I have a re-tear on my repaired shoulder. It never healed properly. Could of happened when I stumbled and hit my repaired shoulder on their tampon box in the bathroom the nurses wouldn't come to help me when I called them on the call button. I had to get up on my own to go to the bathroom. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this Surgical Center. From the registration lady to my pre-op nurse (Toki - an absolute doll, I love her!), to Dr. Benjamin Smith, Jasmine & Lily (post-op nurses), Tonia (med assistant) and all the other amazing staff... I felt soo well cared for. They stayed on top of my pain meds, communicated well and... bruh. The food... let me just tell you about the food - it is NOT hospital food I felt like I was going out to a nice restaurant every meal - except I was in a hospital bed . If I ever have to have surgery again and it's offered here I will use a dr from this center. Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the staff!! Y'all are awesome! read more

I had orthopedic surgery with an overnight stay.I needed assistance at night.When I returned to the bed, the nurse assistant, Emmanuel,left the room leaving my call light and oxygen out of my reach.I needed something for pain and was unable to contact anyone so I began screaming to no avail.I then decided to disconnect my EKG monitor assuming someone would have noticed the flat line on my monitor at the nursing station.Waited around an hour and someone finally heard me screaming for help.This was a horrible experience. Also,watch the billing.First recieved a bill for a shoe boot which I didnt recieve. Now just noticed they billed medicare for crutches which I never received. read more

One of the BEST hospitals I have ever stayed at! I counted the other day and with family members I have cared for and my own surgical dramas, I have stayed at over a dozen hospitals in the dfw and northern dfw area. This is by far one of the most efficient, attentive and happy places to be. Yes I said happy. In our new normal of pandemic so many nurses are stretched too thin and having to watch too many patients die. Since this is a small surgical center it is far away from the drama and craziness of ERs and ICUs. Being across from the nurses station I was so pleased to hear a happy and light hearted staff. They took care of all my needs and I always felt like they were there for me whenever I needed them. Oh and the food is UH-mazing!!! It was really really good and even though I never felt hungry I lost a few pounds. It must have been secretly low fat yet DELICIOUS I wont lie that the spotless corners, ceiling, bathroom and shower all made me happy as well. This is a well run hospital and I will be looking for more Drs who work with this Center. I also felt safer knowing it was for surgeries only. No covid worries. I stayed for 5 days and my pain was always under control. Well done guys!!! Great surgical center! read more

I received a bi-lateral (double) knee replacement on August 10th and stayed at North Central Surgical Center after the surgery which was performed by Dr. Muller and his team. Dr. Muller's surgical team did an excellent job in the surgery. My scar is already looking fantastic! And the nurses at the North Central Surgery center were the best! I ended up staying 4 days at the surgical center and the nurse staff during that time were incredibly attentive to all my needs. There was never a need to ask for a pain pill because they were right there to give it to me on the scheduled time and when I began throwing up, they were there to administer anti-nausea meds and anything else that I might have needed. I'd like to specifically mention the following team members: Christina, Gloria, Emmanuel and Lobo were with me for several days and it was as if I were their only patient. They were very generous with their time when I would ask questions and so incredibly concerned about my well-being. I chose bi-lateral so I wouldn't have to go through 2 surgeries/2 recoveries/2 PT's, etc but had I been required to do two separate surgeries, I know I would have been in the best hands with Dr. Mullers surgical team and the nurses and staff at North Central Surgical Center. read more

I was referred here by my primary physician and Baylor Hospital after a car accident caused me to lose sensation and feel horrible pain on one of my legs and spine. The Drs. are outstanding that do surgeries here. The nurses upstairs are awesome however the nurses down stairs are good with the exception of one who I hope no one ever has. We had a post surgery nightmare w/ a nurse this go around. My husband has had 5 surgeries here and the last one I personally wrote a complaint to the hospital about the terrible care we received. If u don't like ur nurse make a complaint immediately and get a new one. Don't watch your loved one suffer under anyone else's watch! read more

Back in March I took my daughter in as she had rolled her ankle at college. We presented our insurance card, it was taken, and they proceeded with care. We now find out that Dr. Leaton will not accept any negotiated rates from our insurance carrier and owe $867. Had someone told us when we presented the card that it would not be accepted for anything, we would have walked right back out to find a place that would accept it. BE VERY CAREFUL AND MAKE SURE THEY ACCEPT YOUR INSURANCE BEFORE PROCEEDING. Talk about getting screwed. read more

This was our first trip to this surgical center..Check in was fast.The nurse came around asking questions We did have a long wait,but it was because of DR.A surgery had taken longer then expected.But when we got to pre-op.things moved right along.You are given a patient ID #.so you can follow your loved one through there surgery.It is all listed on the board,from pre-op,to operating room,then Recovery room.It tells you what recovery room to go to.Easy to understand.you can wait with your loved one until they are ready to go home(day surgery).There is a Bistro on 2nd floor,open for breakfast,then lunch..We were not there long so we did not check it out.Good experience for us. read more
