They made sure everything was restocked at all times, offered to clear our tables for us, and even provided us little bags to take home our leftovers! Loved seeing this because so much waste can occur at breakfast buffets. This was such a nice solution! I'd love to see it at other hotels as well! The hotel rooms were okay, a little outdated but clean. The beds were good and the pool area was nice as well. We had a koi pond outside our window, but didn't get a chance to check it out.

Embellishing the review just a bit, oh shoot - that's not really possible. The reality is this - from the parking lot to the doorstep of the room, every thing seems to be in a state of entropy. A controlled chaos with little chance of redemption. Our "suite" was - well, a room with a small sub-room connector. Honestly, I've stayed in hotels, hostals, resorts, luxury destinations ... places all over the world. This property is by far the worst experience I have had. Let me be clear, the use of the term "worst" represents every way a hotel can be classified. So please, do your family a favor, keep driving and find another place to stay for the night during your Nor Cal vacation.

This site was a good fit. We had to park the Jeep away from our site because there wasn't any room for it. The park and people working here were good. The grounds around the RV park were in poor condition. The grass between the sites were very long. No edging either. The WiFi was good and the place was clean otherwise. The big problem was the street access coming into and exiting the RV Park was terrible! Pit holes so large you would of thought land mines had gone off. This is unacceptable!!! Going in and out each day was a major chore. Kind wouldn't stay here again unless the road is fixed. Oh heck no!!!!!

The park now has dead grass and the trash bins are wedged under low hanging branches. We reserved a certain site for one-night but when we arrived at 3:30 PM, the office was closed and someone was in our site. We waited 30 minutes and no one called back at the numbers listed. So we checked their online reservation system (Campspot) for another empty spot and just decided to park there. We didn't want to hook up for fear we would be asked to move. We had an appointment in town and so we left a note on our door with our phone number. No one ever called our entire time there. We will NOT stay there again.

He added yet another mark of consistency in thanking me for my membership. The IHG brand is amazingly rigorous in this aspect. In heading to my room on the 2nd floor, I rode the elevator with Chris, who was taking care of maintenance issues. He was extraordinarily engaging by welcoming me, wishing me a good stay, and offering his and Sean's assistance with any needs. The room was updated, clean and perfectly provisioned with soap, lotions, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, as well as a Keurig, supplied with coffee, tea and sweetener options. I ran late and could not take the time to enjoy breakfast, but the coffee machines made a delicious cup and I very much appreciated the insulated carafe of cream.

You have to put your key in this little slot by the inside of the door to keep the lights on. Once you leave and remove it the light go off to help save electricity great idea, At least I couldn't forget where I put my room key haha. The beds seemed to be firm and the pillows were comfortable. My husband and I had a good night sleep. They offer hard and soft pillows and they are labeled as such on the pillowcases. Never seen that at a hotel before. Room came with a microwave & fridge which was nice to keep our snacks and water cool for the next days journey. Breakfast was complimentary, lots to offer. Eggs, turkey & pork sausage pancakes, cinnamon rolls, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice and more that I don't remember. The offer onsite laundry room, a pool and jacuzzi and a workout gym. We didn't have a chance to use these but they were available. The parking lot has a brick half wall with a metal fence around the building. We felt safe where we parked, we checked often and never saw anyone snooping around. You will need a room key to get into the side entrance of building. When we come back to Eureka we will definitely book Holiday inn Express again. We felt very comfortable here and the hotel was centrally located torestaurants stores and gas stations.

The long term/ permanent RV's in the back of the site were creepy broken windows and looked abandoned, along with the broken down Xterra by the bathrooms. 3. Cob webs all over inside the Cabin. I mean just a quick vacuum with an extension and poof they would be gone.. 4. The office not open.. ever! They have firewood for sale. We just can't buy it.. bring your own or drive somewhere else, we went to Safeway. They have golf clubs for the miniature golf course but you can't get them they are locked in the office.. bring your own (?) 5. Three other guests came up to us and asked us where the host was? Because they had issues.. asked Why the office was closed. We also witnessed a Mercedes camper van come in really late parked woke up really super early and left probably without paying.. lol probably avoidable if the office was occupied.. 8. That F ING rooster..( not at the campground so not their fault but close enough to be more then annoying .. F that Rooster!!! Pros: 1. Isolated and very peaceful at night. Not in the morning 5am... that rooster all day!! ALL DAY!!!!! 2. Very Clean and stocked bathrooms, hot water and comfortable room temperature. 3. Washer's and dryer's available easy tap to pay. No physical $. 4. Nice place for families with kids, playgrounds and activities. 5. Close to both eureka and Arcata. 6. Comfortable beds. 7. Comfortable porch swings. 8. The one worker we saw was very kind. He was cleaning cabins and stocking..very respectful and mindful of guests. 9. Clean Pool/ hot tub 10. Easy Parking 11. Very Dog friendly. 12. Fresh Rooster for dinner.... jk Overall a very relaxing stay. I think if you're prepared like we were to literally just go camping without a tent, you'll be happy with your stay. If you expect glaming with an Airbnb feel you'll be disappointed.. we had a small cabin, just the basic rustic. Which was fine and all except for the no fridge aspect, so make sure you bring ice. We will be staying there again maybe farther away from the rooster in the deluxe cabin or bring ear plugs..

Eventually they were all gone in the main bathroom and we had to resort to the other one. BRING WD-40!!! The doors are SO creaky in the cabins that when someone leaves the cabin EVERYONE IS AWOKEN. No fridge anywhere, no microwave in cabin but theres one in the office, along with coffee, tea, and hot coco, but you can only get it when the office is open, which is basically never. The hot tub was quite frighteningly colored, buttttt i got in anyway and havent died or broken out yet. So i guess the human soup is safe ish The washing machine situation was nice though, if you download the app you get a free wash or dry, and if you download it on a different phone you get another free one... just saying. The pillows are so small that at one point i thought i had lost the pillow off the bed but then i looked and it was there. It was basically a sheet of paper with a pillowcase. Pictures were inaccurate on airbnb, which wasnt my fave but oh well. Good for camping but not accurately listed sooo do with that what you will. It was fun but go into it as YOU ARE CAMPING. Not an airbnb.

It is an older motel, but it's in a great location, close to anywhere in town, and very close to old town Eureka. For what I got for the price, I was very happy. You check in via a remote screen in the lobby, it's still very efficient, and the people on the other end of the screen are very friendly and helpful. As I mentioned, it was an older room, and there were a few chips and Nicks here and there, but that was just cosmetic. There is a desk to eat or work on, plugs to charge my gear, a TV with a good picture, the bathroom was spotless, it had a shower instead of a tub. The shower did not have a grab bar or a shower mat, so you do need to be careful. The bed was very comfortable, and I had a very good nights sleep. The Wi-Fi was fast enough to stream video. The room also had a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee pot. What was especially nice was, I had to leave the hotel after only two nights, because I needed to stay with a sick family member at home. I called Chase who called the hotel, and the hotel agreed to let me cancel after two nights, and they refunded the remaining two nights back to my account. They were very understanding. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you.
