Check in was a breeze thanks to, ugh, I forgot, but it was a male staff with red hair. He provided a lot of information and was friendly. Our room ,203, was clean with a king bed and a small balcony enough to step out for fresh air. It faced the Sportsman Store with RVs parked all hours of the day so I wasn't very comfortable stepping outside or to have the dark curtains open. Large mini fridge with freezer and a microwave. You get an table with 2 chairs and a desk/desk chair. The location was perfect as it's just about an 9mins drive to the sequoia zoo skywalk and the dunes. Nearby there's also In N Out, drive thru fast food restaurants, plenty of stores and gas stations. There's an ice machine and vending machines on each floor. Dogs are welcome for a fee, $30. The hot tub and pool area is gorgeous. Provided a very nice ambiance during the day and night. Parking free and complimentary breakfast was decently basic.

Welcoming Inn. Pleasant Inn. Convenient location and well groomed. Our room wad surrounded by beautiful lush trees and our back door opened up to a Koi pond. Loved that we could open up the back sliding door and get fresh air. The amenities include: an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, a spa tube, and-- complimentary wireless Internet access and a buffet breakfast which is served daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Overall-We liked the cleanliness of the room and spacious parking lot. Service: The staff was welcoming and friendly.

Front Desk was very friendly. The room is clean and comfortable. Inviting decor. Very nice.

Entrance is 1/2 block off 101.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. They did give me a AAA discount. The room was on the second floor (right by the ice machine and the elevator). The room was spacious and nicely appointed. It has a table and two chairs. The paint colors and artwork were modern. Liked the body wash I. The shower. The property is laid out well with a pool and courtyard. Breakfast was included In the room Price. It was waffles, something that was supposed to be scrambled eggs, sausage, good potatoes, biscuits and gravy, bagels and cereal. Also it's 1/2 a block from 101. Good food 8 min away at AA bar/steakhouse.

Will start by saying I was always pleased whenever encountering the staff here. Check in was pretty painless and didn't have any issues with my service dog. It's pet friendly in general and a pretty good location on the 101, right next to the mall/food options, and a short walk to the water. There are some wacko homeless around, but never felt unsafe. There is also a beautiful garden and koi pond in the back section (the area with more upgraded rooms). I also really enjoyed the daily breakfast with the array of good quality options. (Best Westerns do breakfast well) The negatives: - very expensive for what you get - King bed felt more like a Queen - wifi was super slow and no ethernet plug in to do work (I actually discovered the McDonalds free wifi was much faster even though it was a good 500 feet away across the street) - super tight parking lot - what you see is not necessarily what you get, only the garden rooms are upgraded like in the pictures - shower backs up quickly from clogged drain (had maintenance come but they didn't really make it much better) - laundry machines all out of service (and very expensive at that) - not much grass around the property for dogs - noisy on the north side of the building with all the semi trucks and wackos yelling at McDonalds - tons of flies by the elevators Probably one of the better options in the area, but still lots of room for improvement. Looks nice in photographs, but looks can be deceiving.

We stayed here one night on our roadtrip. It checked off all of the necessary boxes: comfortable bed, good air conditioner, clean room... The breakfast is posted in the lobby. It included meat (which is not standard) so we opted to stay in to eat in the morning. The food was decent. One of the best things about this place was the service. The people at the check in counter were friendly and knowledgeable and really started off our visit on a great note. I would definitely stay here again.

    Team with Dave. Thank you!!

David and Gabriel made our stay amazing. We have a cycling team riding from Canada to Mexico and we had mechanical issues and they helped us BIG TIME. Lent us tools and let us use the parking lot as a bike shop Room, breakfast and next door Mexican restaurant were great! Highly recommended for your trip

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Oregon. It was our first time visiting Eureka, and…read moreoverall our stay was okay, but there were a few things worth mentioning. Our first impression wasn't great. The gentleman who checked us in was surprisingly rude. The booking site had listed our teenager as a child instead of an adult, so there was a $10-per-day charge to correct it. That wasn't an issue--we expected to pay the difference--but he made such a big deal about it that it felt uncomfortable, almost as if he assumed we couldn't afford it. It was an odd way to start our stay. One thing I hadn't seen mentioned in other reviews is the location. The hotel is next to several large dispensaries. If that's your thing, it probably won't bother you, but if you're like us and don't enjoy the smell, you'll notice it the moment you step outside or open the window. The room itself was clean and nicely updated. My only complaint was a strange design choice: there was a table placed directly over the air conditioning unit, blocking much of the airflow. We visited in June, and with the warmer temperatures it definitely made it harder to cool the room. On the positive side, the location was convenient for exploring the area and visiting the attractions we had planned. The breakfast also exceeded our expectations. Instead of the typical waffle maker and stale cereal, there were hot options both mornings, including eggs, sausage, potatoes, and plenty of fresh fruit. Overall, I'm not 100% sure I'd stay here again. They have clean rooms, good breakfast, and convenient location. Just be aware of the nearby dispensaries and don't expect the warmest welcome at check-in.

It was fine for one night but I don't know if I would choose the same type room if staying longer. The hotel has some history behind it and can be a little creepy if you decide to walk around at night by yourself. Our room was #16, located on the second floor. The room was a decent size with a sitting area with two chairs and a settee and a small armoire to hang your clothes. The bathroom was small with a walk in shower but the shower pressure was good and the water was warm. No air conditioning but there was an industrial oscillating fan in the room. Unfortunately, I didn't find the bed too comfortable and the headboard creaked a lot but it was ok for just one night. Taylor at the front desk when we checked in was very helpful and informative. We left early, around 8am and they had a complimentary breakfast available for guests consisting of bagels, sweet pastries, fruit, Tillamook cheese and sliced tomatoes and cucumbers which I presume are for the bagels. Cute spread!

It is dark inside and smells "old". Our room was nicely decorated in old Victorian. It was overlooking the corner of 2nd & C right over the Irish pub. Everything was clean and nice inside. Bathroom was small but well stocked with supplies. The issue is more with the area. We took a walk after we arrived through the marina and old town area and concluded that we didn't feel terribly safe. We decided to stay in after dark. There were plenty of homeless and very "sketchy" people walking around talking loudly to themselves, etc. Know the rooms have no air conditioning so the hosts opened a couple of windows facing C street, which we left open all night, hoping that street wouldn't be terribly noisy. Fortunately, the Irish pub below us closes around 9:00, and the Mexican restaurant across the street was the same. By 9:30 or so the street was very quiet with only the occasional car and lone, loud motorcycle around midnight. Also there is no TV in the room, so bring your own entertainment! The WiFi didn't work either. We couldn't find the WiFi the hosts provided on check in. Overall, this area of town is trying to revive and the hosts are trying to bring back this hotel. Just be aware!

All of the chairs in the dining room sink so low, you can just rest your chin on the table and shovel it in. What I found most problematic with this hotel is the lip service to ADA accommodations. The lighting and the switches to the lighting are incredible dim in the room making impossible to see with black on black backgrounds. For low visibility people, the randomly placed 'mood' lighting keeps people like me in the dark. Finally, for people with physical disabilities, getting one's luggage on a cart, then to an elevator, then into a room with extremely heavy doors that swing back so quickly, an injury is almost guaranteed. Unfortunately, I experienced all of this at Holiday Inn express in Eureka.
