Bray's Saddlery is the BEST western wear & shoe repair ever. Every time I go there, they always ask…read morewhat I need help with, and I say would this work on my tack for my horse, or will it bother her or what, also I brought my bridal in there to get it fixed, the screws were loose, he fixed it and it only cost me $6.10. Oh and then during a couple summers, Hattie my horse damaged her bridal big time, and we took it in and made it look exactly the same never looked broken, also when they stretched my shoes, and fixed the zipper it didn't cost me $60.00 it only cost me $20.00, people would know if they new their western wear for clothing, and be nice to the employees there. I am never mean to them there I am always nice to them, because they have been a huge help, with helping me either get gifts for my mom, or when my mom goes there to get stuff for me, for CHRISTMAS OR MY BIRTHDAY. They have never ever been an issue for us!! So all the cowgirls out there, or cowboys, if your horse ever brakes any of their tack and you can't fix it please go to Bray's saddlery if you live outside of Minot. Also if your boots need to be stretched, or fixed go to Bray's saddlery Wester Wear & Shoe Repair, they will help you, they are very nice people down there in that store, treat people how they want to be treated. There are a variety of unexpected odds and ends - so, don't be surprised if you go in for chicken feed & come out with a rv toilet paper & a new beach hat. The staff are always friendly, happy to help & non-intrusive. Some prices are marginally higher that big box stores but I prefer shopping here. Plus I can peep the lil ducklings - swoon!

Not only do they actually have tractor supplies but they also carry an array of other supplies as well. From auto care to a full selection of tools and from equestrian items to live baby chicks, their inventory is larger than you might suspect. Their prices are a little higher than what you'd find at a Home Depot or Lowe's but nothing that will break the bank. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and don't mind stepping away from what they're doing to help a customer out. Additionally, they offer a rewards program, if you choose to subscribe. There are many aspects of this store that make it attractive. However, the one that I truly prefer is that it's the perfect place to find that highly scarce and unique item that your larger retailers don't carry. Stop in, browse, and see what they have that you just can't live without.

The shelter is so overcrowded that many dogs are kept outdoors on chains and no shade is provided. While they all had water, this is not acceptable. I work fairly close to the shelter and have a customer that works there. I inquired if they had any adult housebroken German Shepherds available. She said "Not at this time". A week later I got a call that such a dog had arrived. I went to see the dog and she must have had 200 large ticks on her and was flea infested. In fact, all of the dogs outside had serious flea and tick problems. The budget is such that the animals get food and water, no other care seems to be provided. I declined adopting this sweet pooch as I could see the potential health issues she may develop. Not a week goes by without a stray walking into the shop where I work with a chewed off leash. I have to wonder if they escaped from the shelter. Can anyone in Uvalde do just one damn thing right?

This is a good facility. They take care of their animals and really care about them. It is…read moreover-crowded but that is not their fault, they are a no kill shelter and don't turn away homeless animals. I disagree with the previous review. It is overcrowded because not enough get to go to permanent homes. It is hard to control the flea and tick issues and the dog they saw probably came in that way. They have had to cut back on the flea/tick treatments cause the animals were getting ill from the constant chemicals. I wish they had a staff with more knowledge but the MAJORITY of their money goes to caring for the animals like vet care. Don't like it, help out, I sometimes volunteer there just to lend my small animal expertise. People make the difference!
