I only found this place because of Facebook Marketplace or Offer Up, I forget. They have a whole warehouse full of stuff from estates and they resell it or sell it on consignment. We previously worked with Steve Mattson's Estate Sale & Liquidation Service and even recommended…read morehim to a neighbor, so we expected a similar level of service this time. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing. About three and a half weeks before we needed to be out of our rental, Steve came to review what we had available. We showed him many higher-priced, quality items and asked specifically about everything -- including food, supplements, furniture, a heavy fountain, and more. He indicated he would take it all and that we had enough to make it worth his time and effort. As agreed, five days before the scheduled pickup, his employee did a final walkthrough. We provided a detailed list of items we had already discussed with Steve and had even added additional items he had previously said he would take. Then, just two days later, we received a text saying this was now considered more of a cleanout -- and that we would need to pay him over $1,700. During a follow-up phone call, he said the items we had previously discussed were not worth his time to take. This was especially frustrating because we had offered to let him take only what he felt was worth selling. This sudden change completely disrupted our timeline and plans to be out of the rental by the end of the month. We feel the expectations set at the beginning were not honored, which put us in a very difficult position on a tight schedule. Based on our experience, I would advise being very cautious when making plans, especially if you are working within strict deadlines.
