After four weeks of discussions, revisions, and verbal agreements for a master bathroom remodel, Tim backed out of signing the contract at the very last minute. He provided no explanation, ignored two follow up emails requesting clarity, and ultimately ghosted us entirely. This behavior reflects directly on his professionalism, honesty, and integrity. In hindsight, there were early warning signs: repeated pressure to sign his contract before we had adequate time to review it, and a general impatience with ensuring all of our requirements were properly addressed. Despite this, we worked through the details and reached a verbal agreement, only for him to walk away when asked whether a digital signature would suffice or if he preferred a wet signature. With the amount of competition in this industry, professionalism, honesty and integrity matter. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend -- and will never endorse -- a contractor who fails to honor commitments and lacks these basic characteristics.

Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures. My daughter and her husband are trying to restore his birth home, the home is in bad shape, I am trying to help my kids, so I offered to pay for the 12,000.00 foundation repair cost. The work was completed, Steve requested I send him payment thru Zelle, I explained to him my only account did not offer Zelle. I suggested Venmo, to which he agreed. He said "Venmo works better bc they let me send and accept more money. I'm just scared of scammers!" This should have been a red flag, I was just paying, I thought Mr Brasuell, representing Texas Pro Tech Foundation Repair, would have worked through a written estimate, contract, and warranty with my daughter and her husband, as would every 35yr Reputable company. Only 2 weeks later, while trying to hang new doors, my son and his dad noticed they had to jack up the house 3inches so the door would go in. Upon further inspection, my son, who had been in the construction business more then 30yrs, found the foundation level was done with scrap wood and rock found laying around the property. His assessment of this foundation work was described as "scab" work, not even worth the labor time put into it, let alone 12,000.00. My daughter had a Reputable Roofing and Foundation company come out the the next day, Monday. The contractor said he could not, in good conscience, put his men on the roof because the foundation was so unstable. I asked my kids to review their contract and warranty papers. They told my Steve Brasuell did not provide them, in fact he only showed up to the work site once, with a beer in hand. We contacted Steve Brasuell we were told there was no warranty. Now, we will have to employ a reputable foundation company. I do not recommend this company, specifically Steve Brasuell, he saw my kid's project to restore a 100yo family home as a trash, he thought he'd, do a trash job, make easy money and walk away. And that's exactly what he did!!

I added a picture of how he spoke to me after the roofer he sent out left our home. Bad business no customer service whatsoever. Adding to this review as we were sent a Cease and Desist letter telling me to change my review. My entire interaction with Daniel from Absolute was captured via text message. I've attached pictures. I will not be bullied by someone who is in the wrong, the owner of absolute and their lawyers can simply read the text messages on the phone Daniel uses and they can see the entire interaction. Not once did we speak on the phone so nothing will be missed. I also added a picture of the cease and Desist demanding us to include additional details to this review details that has always been in my review, again if the lawyer or the owner of absolute read the review it has always shown that yes someone did come out. Daniel also refused to provide me a report pictures attached prove this. Our HOA contacted Absolutely roofing on our behalf and Daniel/Absolute got my contact information from my HOA let it be known I never contacted Absolutely roofing construction first. Daniel messaged me asking me to send pictures of the leak which I did. Someone was sent out later that day around 3pm, the person sent over could not communicate with us for some odd reason he did not say a word other than "check roof" after we opened our door. I mentioned this to Daniel so my story has always been the same, the text messages pictured proves this. After showing the absolute employee to our attic he left our home and we did not hear anything else further. I texted Daniel to ask for any information as the employee did not communicate anything to us. With me asking I was immediately met with condescending and rude comments by Daniel you can also see how he responded to my simple question in the texts below. I stand by my statement Daniel is a terrible representative for this company and this is a very fair and FACTUAL review as the text messages prove this.
