I used to come to this street fair more often but now gravitate towards the Oside one on Thursday…read more Omgah, it's Thursday lol. But back to the review, please take time to go on the first week of May! There was around 500 vendors, I might be wrong but it was about six blocks full of fun things to be found. They do need some more things for men but then again, women are more in to shopping as a collective. If you love jewelry, small business finds, and food, it's definitely something I will be coming back for. I can't wait to go next year and replenish my earring collection. Recently started to collect them! We also had the most amazing freakin cake!!!! OMGAH!!!! I promise, if you like a cake that isn't dry, even a coffee cake that isn't dry, this company is worth ordering from! I am going to be ordering some yummy gifts for people in the future. It's called Dolce Monachelli's they do have a website and it's the best Bundt cake you will ever have. They have a cute sampler you can always get as a gift bc I will be gifting with these cakes! I think this is the best cake I've ever had! Sorry I don't have picks of the cake lol it was just too good and I forgot.

A typical California farmers market with 60% fresh grown and local food, 30% arts & crafts and 10%…read morefood booth/trucks. This dynamic is welcomed to most people because they get to socialize and buy more then just fresh fruits and veggies. The only thing I am critical about is the organization of the booth space that allows the flow of people in better safety and comfort. I assume there was some store front push back that wanted 100% of there sidewalk available and clear surfing the market but what that has done has jammed too many people in what is obviously a "narrow space" to walk. It would be a fair and SAFE compromise to use 50% of the sidewalks on each side and adjust back the venders booths giving people 5 feet more in the middle to walk around. It would be easier to do this rather then assume or ask people to not stand around creating bottlenecks or be considerate of others and move like a car on a road. Expect to drive around for parking if you are not local enough to walk to the event and crowding due to the popular area it is in, live music, fresh foods and drinks as well as plenty of unique crafts and clothing.

I was super excited to come here to check out the street fair! But it wasnt quite what i was…read moreexpecting. I feel like a lot of booths were from palm desert, so not necessarily local businesses from encinitas, and i felt like there were not a lot of arts n crafts n stuff like i was expecting. There werent a lot of food options, but luckily the food we had was great! I have to drive like 1.5-2 hours to get here so I probably wouldnt come again. It was a gorgeous day and fun to do once.

Tons of things to do like joisting demonstrations, archery, mock battles, food, drink, the Queens Quest for kids and older. Plenty of stands to check out too. We came early so there was plenty of parking still, but it can be hard navigating with all of the people trying to get in and out. Next time I think I will park in the church and take the shuttle bus and see if that is better. I like that this Renaissance Fair is big but not too big. Sometimes too big can get overwhelming, and you don't get to see everything. This one is a really good size and there are a lot of things to see and do, and tons of vendors. I will say a lot of the booths were very expensive for their Wares. However I don't have much to compare it to, so this may be standard for Renaissance Fair merchants and goods. I will say I have seen some very beautiful items, some of which definitely look like they have put a lot of work into. There were several places inside for food, and surprisingly the prices weren't extremely terrible, and the food was pretty good. I had Carnitas fries, and fried zucchini, both of which were pretty good. I loved seeing everyone dressed up, and putting so much effort into these elaborate costumes. There are activities and entertainment as well. The actors really get into character, and we got to see the procession with the queen in tow. Since it was my first time I didn't do a lot of the activities, but they did have some games, archery, Etc. We did stop inside the Beer Garden, which had some entertainment that was very funny. It definitely was more adult-oriented in there, which makes sense. They had people singing funny songs, and they held two contests while we were there, one for the men and one for the women. We were there for several hours, and if you do a lot of the activities I could see you easily spending the whole day here. It's a lot of walking so we're comfortable shoes. I enjoyed myself, and think I would do this again, as be participate in more of the activities.

The good news is that the place was not crowded when we arrived. We had enough time and space to walk all around without bumping into people. I like this version of the fair, not crowded with time to enjoy everything. I needed something healthy to eat so we headed to the pop up Albertsons Market that I normally go to across from Chicken Charlie's on the way to the kiddieland. I got a pretzel bun sandwich, chips, and a Naked Juice drink. All for $18. Perfect! We enjoyed our food at the eatery picnic tables next to the market. These tables were sort of clean and had not been used up and dirty like the end of the fair conditions. We visited many exhibits, the woodmaker's shop, the animals, the Hollandia milking show, and so many cool things. We also tried the candy maze in the farm exhibit hall. The nostalgic candy is not fresh so don't be surprised if it tastes old after you buy it; now we know. Very cool to try the Hollandia Dairy Coffee bottles, just cold brew, cream, and cane sugar...it WAS BETTER THAN DUTCH BROS COFFEE! Tried the grilled corn on the cob, and it was delicious, yay! This was a good visit. Thanks!
