Wow. If you are looking for a way to get out on the water this summer or fall, Starlight Charters…read morehas it all. They have three boats, Luna, Starlight and Soliel. Each one has a totally different experience. I've chartered Luna and Soliel. Luna is a huge sailboat that caters to larger charters in the 30+ person range. It's a cool Caribbean vibe and very tastefully outfitted. There is even room to dance on deck or below. Lots of white bean bag chairs on deck to lounge in with friends. It's like nothing out here in the Hamptons. Have it catered and go. The other boat I chartered to Block Island is Soleil. It is a Hinckley picnic boat that has that classy Hampton appeal and is super fast with a jet drive engine. We also went to Duryea's Lobster Deck in Orient point. I mean really? Does it get any better than that? I showed up in a Hinckley, had Lobster for lunch, then went to Block Island. Bucket list checked. Thanks for such a memorable summer. Toby the owner of this charter business is awesome and knows how to make it happen with his professional fun staff. I highly recommend.

Awful experience with this guy, worst in the Hamptons…read more I've attached a screenshot with the interactions in question. The owner is as deceptive as his business practices, including fake reviews from friends , which you will find out too late should you proceed with him. In the screenshot, you can clearly see that Mr Toby Stull, owner of this business, accepted our offer on a brokerage and provided a special discount. This discount was unfortunately higher than the prices advertised - a rip off attempt. When we called him out on his skeevy practices, he then in a rage kicked our family off his boat. This is emblematic of how he runs his business. And I will note he spread bad words about my family around Sag Harbor, defaming his customers. We criticized his customer service and reminded him of our right to post about this experience which ALL consumers have.

I'm not sure I could have asked for a better impromptu outing. I've been coming to the North Fork…read morefor 11 years, and this was some of the most fun I've had. Feeling that I'd pickled my guests with too many wine tastings, I googled "Peconic Bay boat ride." At $180 for 4 people, this private cruise didn't disappoint. David, our captain, was funny, knowledgeable, and clearly in love with the bay. The solar powered boat was a nice, easy ride, and all the talk of oysters made me hungry. I recommend this to families and adult groups alike. And if you're from Brooklyn like us, make sure to tell him for some extra fun stories, no charge.

Charter Boat / Tours…read more Having the day off, a few of us tripped across this small tour operator in Greenport Harbor. The boat is named Glory and is a reproduction launch from days gone by. The claim to fame is that the whole thing runs on batteries and thus, is green and clean. The boat owner and operator (Andrew) was a real hoot- he took great pride in all that is Greenport, the boat, the harbor and the environment - we had a great time out there with him as we motored around Shelter Island and the bay in general. The cost is extremely reasonable - $15 for adults and if you are nice, you'll get a lollipop. The boat leaves from the rear of Prestons Marine supply. The trip is about 45 minutes and a great way to see some nature - Osprey's in particular but plenty of other birds... Parking around town.
