Judging from some of the others reviews, I'm not the only one who's had the pleasure ... ahem ... of dealing with this guy. I have an Sig P365 xMacro. Nice EDC pistol except for the trigger. Bought an MCarbo trigger on-line but I no longer have the manual dexterity to do detailed gun work so I took it to Tru Prep. The gunsmith says, I hate working on those and don't want to do it. Fine, I thought, I'll just go somewhere else. But then he follows that with, I'd have to charge you an arm and a leg to do it. I asked how much is an arm and a leg in dollars. Hundred bucks. Sheesh. But I need it done so I said, proceed. How long will it take? A week, he says. Two weeks go by and I haven't heard from him. I call the store. He's not there but Amy, he's be of their awesome employees, offers to email the gunsmith right away. I simply want to know when my pistol will be ready. No response from the gunsmith. I call the shop last week and manage to get him on the phone. When will my pistol be ready? This week, he says. I wait until today, Sunday. I go in and he's got an attitude (how DARE I expect him to meet his commitment, right?). I merely said, I'm here to pick up my pistol. No apology whatsoever, the guy just hands it back. Three weeks and I still don't have my trigger installed. Would I recommend this place for gunsmithing work? Am I allowed to say HELL NO! on Yelp? Again, the store itself is staffed by nice people. My problem is with the arrogant, undependable gunsmith. Unfortunately there's not a way to post a review about him without dinging the store as well. However, perhaps the owner will see this negative review and realize he's got a problem employee who's reflecting poorly on the place as a whole.

The Valken Group arrived at my house just past 8:00 a.m., and when the team left 5.5 hours later,…read moremy understanding of firearms skyrocketed. I cannot recommend these guys with any higher praise. In one session, "Advanced Session Two," I went from knowing the basics of firearms to now having the tactical knowledge and high confidence in how to best handle and employ my firearms. Scott, my instructor -and also the Valken Group founder and CEO- walked me through every room of my house, instructed me on how best to take tactical positions, how to retreat, where to take cover, how, when, and where I would have to switch to my weak-side shooting hand to best keep the bad guys at bay. After completing the "Advanced Session Two" course, I went from a guy with a gun to a guy who pities the fool who tries to break into his house. It won't be a fair fight. Not even close. This is not overconfidence. Let me explain more about what I learned. First. Let me back up a minute. The Valken Group comes to your house anywhere in Georgia! They set up these backstops, target posts, and shell-catching side panels. No one else in the United States provides this kind of in-home instruction. This is where it gets super cool. Scott opened up this beautiful case loaded with modified Glock 17s. Check out the photo, especially the mags. The rounds are not packed with gun powder. They are called "Simunition," a non-lethal training ammo that allows you to shoot anywhere without the constraints and dangers of using live ammo (imagine shooting 150 rounds of 9mm inside your house). The military uses Simunition to go "Force-on-Force," allowing it to get as realistic as possible to real-life fire fights. The Simunition itself, as I understand it, are rounds packed with nothing more than air pressure, and the bullet is this little putty-like stuff that won't even penetrate a thick sheet of plastic. You learn to shoot in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Everything is tailored to your goals. From first-time gun owners to advanced folks looking for professionalization skills, the Valken Group will develop a program within their course offerings to ensure you achieve your specific goals. I signed up for the "Advanced Session Two" and let the guys know that I also had specific interests in close protection. Scott led me through multiple drills. By the end of the day, I knew how to hit multiple small areas on a target, I knew how to shoot controlled pairs, I knew how to count my shots, I knew how to do tactical and essential mag changes, I knew how to release the slide rack while staying on target, I knew how to move from different ready positions to firing accurately and rapidly. My knowledge, ability, and confidence have increased in ways I did not think were possible with a single day of drills. Scott also left me with drills to practice on my own. I wish there were a way to heap even more praise on the Valken Group. I signed my girlfriend and her dad up for training in March. I am going to take the next level course in January. Thank you, Scott and Jeff. I had a great day and I learned an immense amount about how to protect myself and my family when our lives are on the line.

Nerve racking in a sense, because you don't want to look like an idiot. Here are some pointers: - make sure you have safety glasses - make sure you have ear protection - you can rent or buy these items there - they have targets for purchase - you can get a membership there for $30/month and gain access to their lounge and utilize other weapons to practice with (plus eye and ear protection is included when you go) - they sell ammo The lanes were super clean and a space underneath the shooting area to store your bag. They have multiple indoor ranges, which I LOVED. This way if only 2-3 people are in there, you don't have to be in the same range. The two guys running it all up front were super cool. Easy small talk. I'll be back again, and possibly with my girlfriend and her damn pink 9mm gun (ok, she doesn't have one yet but that's what we plan to get her for protection). Women and accessorizing . Would recommend. Clean place!

They are always super helpful, not pretentious, and easy to talk to and ask questions of. In dealing with gun shops in the past, it's easy to find some very "interesting " folks that look down their nose at you. At SS Gun and Range everyone I've ever interacted with have been helpful, supportive and made what potentially could be a challenging interaction a pleasant, informative and smooth process. If you are in need of a firearm for hunting, range use or personal/home protection, there is not a better place to shop, learn and purchase from than the folks at Sandy Springs Gun & Range. The gentleman that helped me was a manager by the name of Anthony, but everyone there is great and easy to work with.

I'm so glad he did...This place is amazing... from customer service, to any kind of material you need to create your own designs on or off the sewing machine, to teaching what you don't know, and need to know about any machine they have available. I've bought both sewing machines and sergers from this store. They give you excellent deals when purchasing anything, and if ever a problem they always provide the right solution. Their classes are very informative, well worth the price, their expertise is amazing, and their machine repair is second to none. And, as always, the buck stops at the top...their Manager is second to none, always available, fair, honest, and if it's fixable, she can fix it!

They also sell sewing machines, and they seem to offer different types of sewing classes. There is also a selection of materials for sale. While I was waiting for my turn, a gentleman came to pick up his machine, and he seemed very happy. I did ask the sales lady, how much it did cost and the price seemed reasonable. Of course, every service price is based on the additional parts and labor needed. So, I will definitely give it a try. Seems like it will take few weeks to get your sewing machine back, but I'm sure it will be worth it.
