Ross was thorough, pleasant, patient, informative and kind on the phone! When I arrived, Dave took care of me at the Range counter and he was SOOOO informative. He gave me so much great information and again was super patient with all of my questions. Mike did my 30 minute session and honestly, minus the arsenal on this mans waist, I just wanted to give him a big hug. What a kind soul who can probably shoot the peen off of an ant at 50 yards. #inreallife. So I wouldn't suggest the whole hug thing, but he IS my new best friend in my head. Not just because he told me what an amazing job I did, but because from his thorough teaching manner, to the exercises he instructed me through, and his obvious concern for my safety, I felt cared for. The facility is beautiful and the staff are well qualified and very welcoming. I will take my new best friend Mike's advice and be a once a week customer. I quadruple LOVED my visit from the intro video, to Dave showing me how to sign up for classes online, to my active range time....the process is easy, and the pricing is great for range time, targets and ammo. I didn't have time to look at the gun selections, but from what I did have chance to gander, it is impressive. It's a bit expensive to drop in as a non member, in my opinion. But, I'm comparing It to outdoor ranges in South Georgia that' are less expensive. There are multiple memberships available. Reminds me of a golf club I belonged to for many years. If you want to use the range once or twice a week membership is the way to go. My permanent residence is 4 hours away in another state and I'm here for a few months. Like some Golf Clubs do, they might consider offering out of state memberships or temporary memberships for part time residents. I'd have spent a lot more time (and time is money) there if they did. It's an active operation offering training and special events (competitions) that sound like fun.

I called the location and was told "Our tech is at lunch but he will be back in 20 minutes if you want to swing by". Awesome! I headed that way and when I got there, it just seemed like a bunch of kids working. No hello, no nothing. I get to them who never asked if I needed help and they are just staring at me. I explained what I needed (taking off a spring clip) and was told "We don't have that tool. Go to Gables". Gables is actually an amazing place and the guys are awesome so I don't know why I didn't go there in the first place. So I left. A couple weeks later, I went back to Stoddards for some range time since Gables doesn't have a range. Once again, no hello, no how can we help you, nothing. I ask the guy about renting a range just so I could site in a red dot and he goes to someone else then comes back and says "We aren't taking anymore shooters". It was only 1:30pm. Now it was Christmas Eve and they were closing at 4 I think but there were empty lanes and it was only 1:30pm. The staff just looks like a bunch of kids who don't care about what you want, they just don't wNt to do anything that requires energy. If you need an amazing gun store or gun smith, go to Gables Sporting Goods in Douglasville. If you are looking for a range, go to Governors in Hiram or The Pit in Villa Rica (contact through Instagram). It's a shame cuz the Atlanta location is so nice and friendly. This place isn't worth your time.

Nerve racking in a sense, because you don't want to look like an idiot. Here are some pointers: - make sure you have safety glasses - make sure you have ear protection - you can rent or buy these items there - they have targets for purchase - you can get a membership there for $30/month and gain access to their lounge and utilize other weapons to practice with (plus eye and ear protection is included when you go) - they sell ammo The lanes were super clean and a space underneath the shooting area to store your bag. They have multiple indoor ranges, which I LOVED. This way if only 2-3 people are in there, you don't have to be in the same range. The two guys running it all up front were super cool. Easy small talk. I'll be back again, and possibly with my girlfriend and her damn pink 9mm gun (ok, she doesn't have one yet but that's what we plan to get her for protection). I very much appreciated the small class size because it gave us more time to answer questions and for hands-on practice. Susan was our instructor, and she was great. She was both patient and eager with our questions, and quick to give a real life examples of the technical information provided. The two day course is perfect. The classroom day is heavy on safety and pistol knowledge. I thought that I wouldn't want all that information, but all of it was worthwhile. I ended that day comfortable with how a pistol works, how to handle misfires and hangfires, and how to safely grip and handle a pistol. I was initially nervous on the gun range day, but Tom, Susan and Michelle were so great - patient and encouraging. We were able to handle a variety of pistols and shot seated, standing with both hands and standing using one hand at a time. If found shooting oddly relaxing, and I zoned out a few times when shooting multiple shots at a time. I wanted to shoot more and if I'd had a gun, I could have. So if you have a gun, bring it with you (unloaded of course) and they'll work with you on your grip and shooting methods with it. It was hard to use so much of a weekend for this course (9:00-4:00 on Saturday and 8:30-2:00 on Sunday), but it was so, so worth it. Yelp 100 #60

My experience with IntoArts has been extremely disappointing. The program appears to focus heavily on going through motions and earning belts, but lacks meaningful opportunities for students to apply what they've learned in realistic or full-contact situations. Punching bags and rehearsed drills do not prepare anyone for unpredictability, resistance, or real-world encounters. A system that promotes students to higher ranks--up to black belt--without pressure testing their skills raises serious concerns about the value of that training. If, however, your goal is optics--collecting belts, certificates, and staged accomplishments without true application--then this may be a good fit. Beyond the curriculum concerns, the leadership approach is equally troubling. The owner seems to spend a disproportionate amount of time sharing stories from past experiences or correcting children, rather than delivering structured, engaged instruction that develops students. Constructive coaching and development appear secondary. More concerning is how situations are handled when questioned. When I raised concerns as a father--calmly and directly--regarding decisions that impacted my child, the response was not professional dialogue. Instead, my child was abruptly removed from the roster, and the situation escalated unnecessarily to the point where law enforcement was contacted. That level of escalation for a non-threatening parental concern is, at best, poor judgment and, at worst, deeply troubling. As a parent, my responsibility is to advocate for my child--especially when those decisions affect his development and well-being. The way this situation was handled reflects a lack of professionalism, accountability, and sound leadership. In short: * Limited real-world application of skills * Promotion without proof of performance under pressure * Questionable instructional priorities * Unprofessional handling of parent concerns Martial arts should build confidence, discipline, and capability--not just appearance. Based on my experience, this program falls short in delivering where it matters most.
