My property manager recommend Andrew Johnson and he was very responsible. I didn't like the idea of giving the adjuster estimates to the companies but this one did not go much over the estimate. I made the mistake of trusting United Contracting and Roofing LLC when they convinced me to file a…read morewind/hail damage claim on my roof. Instead of acting like professionals, they pushed me into filing an insurance claim that had NO CHANCE of getting approved--all because they wanted a quick sale. HOW THEY SCAMMED ME: 1 They ignored my request to check an engineering report before filing my claim. I had a 2022 engineering report that showed mechanical creasing and blistering, NOT storm damage. Any legitimate roofer would have known this meant the claim was invalid. I asked their rep, Luke, to review it. He ignored it and filed my claim anyway. 2 They completely failed to do their job. Even without my report, any trained roofing professional should have seen the damage was NOT storm-related. Luke either didn't know what he was looking at OR deliberately ignored what was right in front of him. A licensed Public Adjuster later told me there was NO CHANCE of winning this claim. 3 After they got my claim denied, they tried to sell me a new roof out-of-pocket. Once my claim was denied, their sales pitch changed: "Since the claim didn't work out, let's talk about financing a new roof." It was a setup from the start. They KNEW this claim wouldn't work but wanted a foot in the door to sell a roof. 4 Their manager ADMITTED they made a mistake, then LIED in their BBB response. I spoke to a manager for 20 minutes, who told me outright they should have handled my claim differently. When I filed a BBB complaint, they denied everything and tried to blame me. 5 Now my homeowner's insurance is at risk because of THEIR negligence. My Public Adjuster warned me that filing this bad claim could cause my insurance company to drop me. United Contracting and Roofing NEVER warned me about this risk. They don't care about your insurance, your home, or your financial security--just making a sale. BOTTOM LINE: STAY AWAY! They don't check anything before filing a claim. They push you into claims that will fail just to get a sale. They take ZERO responsibility when things go wrong. They will put your HOMEOWNER'S INSURANCE at risk. Do yourself a favor and find a reputable contractor. Do NOT let United Contracting and Roofing LLC touch your insurance claim or your roof.
