Due to United's close association with GAF, I was given terrific pricing and smart upgrades to GAF's remarkable Timberline HDZ Architectural shingles, its proprietary smart membrane, ridge vent, and additional roofing materials. Richard Jordan, my Project Manager, was extremely helpful from the first point of contact, handling the claim with my insurance company, meeting with their inspector, and carefully bird-dogging the entire process. He kept me informed along the way, and I appreciate his caring, friendly professionalism and thorough explanations of the process and materials. Richard was such a joy to work with that I'd buy anything he's selling if I were in the market for it. Richard and another Project Manager were on-site all day, and the work progressed smoothly. The roofing crew worked together seamlessly, worked hard, focused, and quickly. After the work was finished, they cleaned up the site so that it looked as if they hadn't been there at all. I saw drone photos of my roof and received follow-up calls, along with the warranties from helpful Kendall Favor in the office. There were no surprises. I'd have absolutely no hesitation in calling them again and have already been referring them to my neighbors. One neighbor even mentioned how nice it was that the crew wasn't blasting music while working. Overall, a great experience, and I'm very happy with and grateful for it. United Contracting and Roofing was great. We requested quotes from several companies. A few of them didn't even look for Insurance Coverage damage and one company didn't even show up due to a dentist appointment but said he could quote me a price based on satellite imagery. All but one, we considerably higher priced and even quoted the size of the roof as larger than United. Monnie (our project coordinator from United Contracting and Roofing) came out and walked the roof and explained what he felt was storm and wind damage. He then came out again to walk the roof with out insurance adjuster. After we contracted with them, Monnie came out to show us actual samples of the the materials used and the colors available (so my wife could choose), showing the strength/durability of the materials and explained everything. He was able to schedule and appointment for installation that same week. His crew came out and were very professional. They covered over flowers and place tarps around the entire house. They started just before 8 am and had finished cleaning up just after 1pm the same day. Monnie came by before, during and after installation to make sure everything was going well. It was amazing how they worked as a well oiled machine and were so organized. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They stuck by me for 3 years in the ongoing tug of war with my insurance company. Austin Hulsey was my hero in all of it. When we finally got the repair approved, Austin's estimate was substantially lower than other roofing companies and within $300 of the actual pay out from my insurance company! In fact, he had submitted it months before, but stood by it without any push from me. These crews show up on time, get about their work with no loud music or other distractions, and get it done quickly: my house in 1 day, start to clean up. Just recently, I had to call on them for a leak from this crazy winter weather we've had. Jacob came out. I think they must all have to take a pledge to be humble and kind, because that's all I ever see out of any of their guys. THIS COMPANY DOES IT ALL. We hired them to totally rebuild the outside of our house which included new roof, hardi plank siding, doors, screen doors, gutters, complete paint job and new deck railing. They also replaced all light fixtures and outside ceiling fans. They amount of repair and rebuilding was staggering. They far exceeded out expectations. They finished the house completely in approximately 6 weeks. They were professional, courteous and communicated with us throughout the process. All of the sub contractors are just as awesome. Every employee of United that I interacted with was extremely helpful and professional. It is rare that you find a company where every employee is truly concerned about the customer no matter what their position in the company is. Jordan did an excellent job handling my claim and walking me through everything step by step and making sure I understood exactly how everything worked. Brandon Dill did a great job. He showed up to look at our roof and took me through the process, showed me the damage and helped me file a claim with our insurance company. He met with their adjuster and we were approved for a new roof, 3 hours later. Roofers showed up in 2 weeks and completed the added the new roof in one day.
