I chose this shop because they seemed customer-oriented when I spoke to them on the phone, and worked with me to find a solution for my transmission problems. They did a great job on switching out my transmission for a muh beter slightly used one. Drove away and instantly felt the hp I'd lost recently!
HOWEVER.
I asked them to check suspension because Id been hearing noises that hinted at a problem. Spoke to two different people, and mentioned this problem twice to one of these people. They said it'd be no problem and that theyd check it out for me. Then when I left the keys in the overnight drop box I wrote a note reiterating the issue. I hoped that this way they would definitely look at it and give me a better idea of the problem.
Right before I dropped the car off, I messed up my brake pad stopping for a chipmunk. The pad itself had completely broken off of the metal backing and was grinding against the rotor. I STATED IN THE NOTE THAT I WAS AWARE OF THIS AND THAT THIS WAS NOT THE NOISE I WAS TALKING ABOUT IN THE SUSPENSION.
Low and behold, when I got my car back, they told me that the noise was just the brakes grinding. I dont know how dense these people are, I spelled it out in plain English that this was something else. So whatever, I took it for what it was and left.
Two weeks later, a ball joint gave out and my suspension collapsed while I was driving.
I called them and yelled at them. They told me to get a tow to their shop and that theyd look at it. I told them that I wasnt paying for a tow, that their incompetence is what left me broken down to begin with. They told me theyd take care of the tow, and sure enough, got me my tow.
Fast forward to the end of the day. I get a call telling me my car was done. No call during the day to tell me what was wrong or what repairs needed to be done/what it would cost. They just repaired it without checking with me at once. They told me they gave me a discount, and I picked up my car and paid them.
When I got home, my mom told me she wanted to surprise me and paid $200 towards the repair. With my almost $200 I paid, we paid twice what I should have paid with their supposed "discount" they gave me. They basically saw an oppurtunity to swipe some extra cash and took it.
I was looking for a long-term mechanic, and loved how close they were to my friends house--I could drop the car off for the day and hang out with my friend. But I was ripped off and lied to, and I will never be back again. read more
