They called me the next day and said they needed to drop the whole transmission to check it out before they would be able to diagnose it. They wanted $900 just to figure out the problem and didn't know when they would get to it. I had a bad feeling, so I picked my truck up. I took it to another shop and they quickly told me the problem was not the transmission, it was misfiring.. which I'd suggestion to AAMCO might be the problem. The honest shop replaced the coil packs on two of the cylinders...$275 and it was running like new..same day!!! Seems strange that AAMCO couldn't figure that out in two days. Went in for MD state inspection with 2023 Subaru since i was moved back from another state. I corrected all items and raised the car back up to factory height (which anybody that has performed this knows how time consuming this can be). When I returned for the re-inspection they failed it again this time stating I cannot have any aftermarket suspension components on the car per COMAR which is completely incorrect. Article 11.14.2. Look it up. I took time off work for both appointments only to waste my time here. Should have been a red flag when they charged me $40 to put blocks of wood on their ramp lift because it was "too low" even though it was only 1" lower than stock. Mechanic just jumped in with no protective cover for the seat too. Complete waste dont bother with these guys, especially if your car is modified in any way. They couldnt even be up front about why it "failed" the first time with a vague answer and barely any detail. AVOID these guys, just go anywhere else

Both my Transmissions have been replaced by them. I have had my spark plugs replaced which with my vehicle they have to jack up the engine. I have had all four tires replaced by them and I get my oil changed by them every 5k miles. With my new vehicle, I do the in-between oil change with them. Dealers/Manufacturer says my new ride can go 10k miles in-between oil changes, but I am not comfortable with doing that. Dealer does every 10k... they do the one at 5k, (so yeah I am getting an oil change every 5k). Their prices are fair and reasonable, and the service is second to none. Paul, Randy, and the rest of the crew will take care of you. They will tell you what is wrong with your vehicle and tell you what you should fix right away and what you can hold off on. I recommend these guys to everyone in the area. If you want honest, hard working, professional, and personable, this is the auto repair place for you.
