We ordered the red sangria, capri punch, lasagna, and ricotta cavatelli. The lasagna was flavorful, decent portion, but needed to be hotter. Overall, my fiancé would order again. The sangria was okay. If you like traditional sangria that isn't too sweet, then you'll enjoy this one. We wanted it a bit sweeter so wouldn't order again. The capri punch was delicious. Sweet and tasty. The ricotta cavatelli had a strong lemon flavor to it but that's part of the meal so to be expected. Still overall too oily for me, and flavorful was okay. It was the only thing I wanted to try on the menu, so it was okay overall. We also ordered dessert. The bombolinis were delicious. You get four small beignet-like dough filled with blueberry compote that sits on top of lemon curd. The combination was really good. Since it was only two of us, the portion was good. We sat at the bar, and bartender (Ciera) was friendly. She had a full conversation with us, which was nice. She made our drinks pretty fast. More than anything the banana bread coffee cake was the best thing I've eaten sweet wise in a long time. My husband and I stopped here for a light snack after grabbing our bibs for the Peachtree Road Race! We came in around 2:00 pm. There was a nice crowd within but we were immediately seated. The place a nice playlist of music rolling. We ordered the wild shrimp scampi and the herb French fries. The Shrimp scampi came with this very flavorful butter like sauce and some soft bread. Decided to try this place while in Atlanta for the day. I had never been here but our son stated they had been to one in Austin and like it. The service was great and the place was not too full so we were seated right away. I noticed a large window in the back and unknown to us they make their own pasta right there for you to watch. This made us pretty excited for the food knowing the pasta was made in house. I went with the bolognese (which is their specialty) the wife went with the chicken sliders and son went with the braised short rib lumache. None of the dishes disappointed. For a chain this place is great. This is going out there but the closest thing to it for me was carbone's in Vegas. Not as good but that style. Definitely recommend. The only negative is they don't do bread. You can order some as an app but they should have some bread for free in my opinion. read more

I'm quite surprised at how slightly disappointing this experience at North Italia was because I really enjoyed it the first and only time I've been here though it was in a different city. However, this Buckhead location left a lot to be desired. I will say the service was great. I had a bartender TJ, who was really nice and hospitable and seemed to genuinely care about my experience so I appreciated that. I ordered a glass of wine and it was good. For food, I asked for recommendations and was told that the Bolognese is really good. It also shows on the menu that the Bolognese is basically their best item or one of the best items. So I went ahead and ordered that and it came out relatively fast. However, on first looking at it, I could already tell that it was not going to be good. The sauce wasn't even fully covering all of the pasta... like there were a lot of noodles that barely had any sauce on them and it just didn't look very flavorful. TJ immediately could tell that I didn't look pleased and I told him that, but I also said let me actually try it before I truly judge it. Unfortunately it was exactly how it looked... it was not flavorful. It was not saucy. It was just not good. I'm usually not somebody that sends back my food, but I was asked about how I enjoyed it and I was honest and said I didn't like it and I was able to get a new dish which I appreciated. I wanted to get the spicy rigatoni vodka because that's what I got the last time that I came to North Italia, which was absolutely delicious, but they didn't have any more for the night so I ended up getting the lasagna. Unfortunately I was told the lasagna would take 20 to 30 minutes, which made me wonder if I could wait that long, but there was really nothing else on the menu that I wanted so I decided to order it. It came out and it's a portion that I would say is on the smaller side. I feel like they purposely put it in a bowl, so you kind of can't tell how little it is, but it was definitely not a very large portion at all. It was very cheesy and I definitely enjoyed it. It wasn't amazing though, but I did enjoy it. TJ was really concerned about me enjoying my meal so he was checking on me to see if I enjoyed my lasagna / dining experience and I told him that it was really good and he was pleased with that so overall, I ended up enjoying the second item I ordered. However, the fact that the first item that came out was not good at all, something I wanted to get was not even available anymore, and then the third item ended up being a pretty small portion wise just kind of made this overall dining experience not the best. I will say, though that the ambience is really nice in North Italia. It's upscale but has a relaxed vibe to it so that part of it was enjoyable as well. I would actually come back here though because I do want to have the spicy rigatoni vodka again so hopefully the next time I come, they will actually have it. read more

We came during lunch on a week day and the service was fast. I got the Chicken Pesto sliders with Parmesan fries & my husband got the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka pasta. The fries could have had more flavor & my husband's pasta was on the tougher side. We also tried the Hazelnut Torta dessert. This tasted more like dark chocolate cake than hazelnut but eating it with the gelato helped made it taste better. We came here on a Thursday around 11:30am for the lunch menu for Buckhead Restaurant Week. When we entered the hostess was polite and provided all the menus and one specifically for restaurant week. The experience starting off was great. The server was attentive but not very knowledgeable about how restaurant week worked. Our appetizers arrived fairly quickly. We started with the cacio e pepe arancini which was excellent. So cheesy and gooey and delicious. The pesto aioli side condiment was really good too. The Sicilian meatballs were good and soft. The marinara the meatballs came in was great as well. The flavors were excellent. It took a while for our main entrees to arrive. Maybe 20-25 minutes or more and because this was lunch we were both hoping we could get back to the office in time by 1pm. After the server came by the table to refill our water, she asked if everything was fine as if she didn't understand that our entrees should have been in front of us at that point. After we brought that to her attention she went to the kitchen to check and behold our food was ready. The spicy rigatoni vodka pasta was delicious. It's oily so be careful if you're wearing light colored clothing. It's not spicy at all so for those people that don't like spice, there's barely any at all. The hot Italian Stromboli was good as well, but the rigatoni was definitely better. Even though the server had already asked us which menu we were ordering from and she understood that the meal would be $25/person (there were two of us so the check should be $50+tax) for the lunch restaurant week menu, she presented us with a $75 check as if it was correct and that didn't send off any red flags in her head. So I gave the check back to her and said this is restaurant week and we ordered from the restaurant week menu, why are you trying to charge us full price? She had to call over a manager or someone for help because even though restaurant week had been going on all week I guess they didn't know how to price it on the register machines. This whole ordeal was inconvenient and it made the server look like she didn't know what she was doing. Everything was amazing as usual. I decided to try a couple of things I've never tried. The Sicilian Margarita was an absolute 10/10!!!! I usually get the espresso martini but this was bright and refreshing! I also tried the vodka chicken pesto garlic knot sliders on the happy hour menu. They were just ok, not my favorite! During a trip to Lenox, my fiancé and I decided to have lunch before heading home. I'd been wanting to try North Italia for a while, and he had had a good experience at a location in Miami, so we gave it a go. Upon entering the restaurant, the ladies at the host stand were all very welcoming, kind, and pleasant. They had beautiful energy and smiles. The restaurant is casual but trendy, with a cozy ambiance. Soon after being seated, we were greeted by our waitress, Tamera. She welcomed us, asked us about food allergies, and then came back around to recommend a drink from their holiday menu. We just wanted a simple lunch today, so we bypassed that and stuck with simple: a cup of soup for each of us (soup of the day was lentil) and a shared margherita pizza with the tie dye upcharge to get that pesto drizzle. Soon, our soups arrived. Luckily, I took a bite first and advised my fiancé who is a pescatarian to not touch his. We are so used to eating lentil soups from middle eastern or Mediterranean restaurants that I forgot to ask if the soup had meat in it. That mistake was completely on us, not the server's fault at all. She had asked us in advance if we had any dietary restrictions, to which we just said no since we knew we would just choose pescatarian-friendly items. We assumed incorrectly on the soup, for which we take full responsibility. Tamera was very considerate of us and showed her concern and kindness. Although a bit on the salty side, I enjoyed the soup and asked for a to go container for my fiancé's soup so I could have it later, and got him a Caesar salad instead, which we shared. The Caesar salad was the best item we ordered, in my opinion. It was chilled and perfectly dressed with just the right about of dressing which you could really taste the anchovies in, a delicious mountain of finely shredded Parmesan cheese, and crispy croutons. It was perfect. The pizza, to me, was just okay. Even in adding the pesto, it still needed more oomph... more flavor. I will say, the crust on the bottom was great, and stayed crispy. At the end of our meal, our waitress asked if we were ready to look at the dessert menu. I agreed to take a look, but ultimately, my fiancé and I were full and decided to try to save room next time. I got the feeling that our server may have been a bit disappointed we didn't order drinks or dessert, but other than the little push she gave toward that, which I understand is probably a part of training here, she was very attentive and sweet. For two soups, one salad, and a small pizza, plus tax and tip, our bill rang in at about $80. Kind of expensive for lunch, especially with what you're getting. I'd like to come back and try their pastas, drinks, and desserts, at some point, but I'm not necessarily chomping at the bit for it to be next weekend. read more

Well, it's been a while since I was truly disappointed in a restaurant, and North Italia at Lenox completely missed the mark. I met up with a friend who recommended this chain as she had eaten at other locations and said the pasta was handmade and several dishes were really good. We arrived at 6 for an early dinner, and we seated on the patio. After a little wait, the manager came over and took our drink orders since the staff was in their nightly huddle. We ordered 2 sparkling waters with lime. The drinks never came. The waiter greeted us a little later, and we were ready to order: Kale Salad, Tortellini, and Short Rib Masala. A few minutes later he came back and said they only had a half portion of the tortellini and asked if I wanted something else. I opted for the half order with the addition of the soup of the day. Shortly later he came back, and said the soup wasn't ready. When I went to the bathroom I heard staff mention something about not having food. Maybe they missed a delivery or a cook didn't show up to work. I'm not sure, but it sounded like I wasn't the only customer with this experience of items being out or not ready. We added an order of bread, and the waiter suggested the truffle bread. It came out quickly, and wasn't what I expected. It was a cut up roll, that tasted slightly stale, DRENCHED in butter with a dollop of truffle butter on top. Parts were soggy yet other parts were stale at the same time. The kale salad was the highlight of the meal, albeit a little oily. The grapes, crispy pancetta, pistachios and pecorino cheese made this salad! The meals came out and the half tortellini was 3 large pasta pieces. The taste was ok, but the pasta dough was so thick and undercooked it wasn't enjoyable. My friend's meal was ok - I had a couple of bites, and it was like a pot roast. Nothing super tender or anything. All in all, I would not return, especially for the $100 bill. I'm glad I had good company to spend the night catching up with, but the food was not the highlight. read more

Sat at the bar for happy hour (happy hour is bar only) and it took us AGES to get our food. We came at 515pm, our food was not even out by the end of happy hour. On top of that, the bartender and other waitresses kept coming over to repeatedly ask us what we've ordered. By the third time, it felt like they were asking to be insensitive. At one point, the waitress avoided eye contact with us because we had been waiting for at least forty five minutes. Everyone around us who had ordered similar had been served so I was confused. When the food finally did come, it was lukewarm as if it had been sitting there for as long as we had been waiting. The meatballs were under seasoned and bland. The pizza was decent but does NOT reheat nicely so don't even bother taking to go. Overall, mid service and food quality. read more

Came in here on a Thursday night and there wasn't many people there at all. We decided to sit at the bar. The place is cute and intimate but not too fancy as it is connected to Lenox mall. I ordered the red sangria and my best friend ordered a glass of wine. We started off with a bread appetizer and also the burrata appetizer and both were delicious. The balsamic glaze on the bread service is perfectly sweet and tart. The burrata has very unique flavors with the poached pear and pistachio crumble but honestly anything with burrata is delicious to me. For our entrees, I ordered the spicy rigatoni vodka pasta and my friend ordered the bolognese. My pasta was delicious with the perfect amount of spice and very flavorful. It was a bit salty but I like salt so I wasn't mad at it. We also ordered espresso martinis with baileys for dessert which was a nice sweet treat. We also ordered the seasonal butter cake which had a pumpkin theme but we didn't really enjoy it so they ended up removing it from our bill. There is also an intimate atmosphere inside the restaurant and the service is good! I always get the Chicken Pesto and it is superb. I love pesto sauce and this place does a great job at making sure that the pesto sauce is not too overpowering in the pasta. The portion is also massive so I get to go home with leftovers a lot of times. I have also tried their White Truffle Garlic Bread and it was amazing! Every time I took a bite, it left me wanting more. I have been to North Italia in their other locations and it never seems to miss. This was my first time having lunch at the actual restaurant. I met a girlfriend for like by during my lunch break and sit on the patio. Actually lovely. Our server was kind and informative. I'm always amazed when people take my order and not write it down and actually get it right. They usually get it right. My friend is vegetarian and I obviously am not. She ordered a beautiful salad with some sides and I tried their version of an Italian grinder sandwich, which was actually amazing. Unfortunately I ordered it with french fries but it came with salad. Lucky I had both. The fries were put in and though I waited a little bit before enjoying them. I was able to have a few, which were hot and tasty. despite the fact that it was a Tuesday afternoon and I didn't see inside I felt like our service was a bit slow. I only have a lunch hour and I was about 1012 minutes over. Not terrible but considering what we ordered I would've thought it would come out a little faster. again the food was delicious. The service was adequate, but the only thing that bugged me was that they never took plates away and my water was never refilled.. By the timevwe completed our meal, all of the plates of food that we had been served was never picked up. Not a big deal, just an observation. I definitely will be back for that Sandwich. read more

This is an Italian spot inside of the mall area. So you are going to be parking in the mall parking lot (free) but just be aware of the crowd. This has an indoor and outdoor area. The outdoor area is facing the mall parking lot so don't expect major fires but if it's nice out it would be good to people watch. The staff was very friendly and super cool. My waitress (Essence) offered to explain anything on the menu and gave me her suggestions as well. The bar is a nice sized bar with plenty of space. It was really good as well and I would definitely come back for this. Bolognese - I'll see this one, it said it's their house special on the menu but I feel like a lot of people would say that. But no, this was definitely something to come back for! I finished the bowl and I still want more even though I don't need to eat anymore LOL. It came with some Palm and some red pepper flakes but I don't use the red pepper because it was already perfectly spiced and seasoned to perfection. I did dump the entire cup of Parmesan cheese though LOL. But this one here, this one was an absolute winter. The meat sauce was super flavorful, noodles were okay, well cooked and tender. Everything about this was right! The sauce was hittin. Spicy rigatoni vodka - this was good, if you like a sweet tang in a pasta dish. I added the red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese, and the flakes gave it a hell of a kick to the sweetness. There are pieces of meat in the dish and they were pretty savory (even though I wish it had more lol). But it was a pretty good dish. So overall, I see no flaws in this place. If they have a good happy hour they're going to see me a lot more often LOL read more
