    Seafood pasta
    Robert G.

Came here for dinner while in town. Service was decent. Served bread and drinks. Ordered Ceaser salad, lemon chicken, and 2 1/2 pastas. One was a ravioli dish and the other was the seafood pasta. Sat outside side and nice atmosphere. Ceaser and bread was good. Lemon chicken was very good Ravioli was a bit underwhelming with only like 6-7 raviolis. Seafood pasta was better and had shrimp, mussels and other seafood. Prices were moderate.

    Tortelli di Michelangelo Buonarroti

We were starving and hadn't made reservations anywhere for dinner, so we rode our bikes down the beltline and just decided to try our luck somewhere in Inman Park. There happened to be two open seats at the bar when we arrived, so we snagged those. The bartender was slow to greet us, which I found surprising seeing as the bar is small and she didn't seem to be in the weeds. She also wasn't super friendly, but I guess that's kind of the norm these days unfortunately. We ordered a Caesar Salad to split - it was nothing special. Which I now find strange after dining at Fritti since they are sister restaurants and every time I have had the Caesar at Fritti it's been great. We ordered the Tortelli di Michelangelo Buonarroti and Lasagnette alla Bolognese for dinner. The bartender said that the Tortelli was a wonderful choice but when it arrived it was 10 sad little meat-filled pouches. The Lasagnette, however, was delectable. I would order this over and over again. Another semi-annoying thing was that it got to be uncomfortably hot over the course of our dinner. Being hot and eating hot food isn't the best. Anyway, if I had to come back, it wouldn't to be by choice.

10/10 the risotto with aged balsamic was my absolute favorite. Great vibes, fantastic service and amazing cocktails!

Great drinks and the appetizers are really good. Great ambience. The food tastes very authentic. Always great service.

Loved this little Italian place in Inman park. Really cute inside standard upscale ambiance. The paper on the tables gives old school Italian but meets more upscale. The artichoke spaceship or whatever was like a paper plane and I loved it. The Negroni is also good. The tortilli was delicious with the sage butter and the chicken was absolutely delicious. That'sDessert the have their take on tiramisu which was great, their Nutella cocktail could benefit from a double strain. Our server was admittedly new and that was sweet. I will be back. That is for sure.

Had date night here a little while ago and we loved it! We had a reservation so we were seated right away. There was a pretty moderate sized crowd for a Monday night, so I'm glad we had the reservation. The food was very good, as well as the service (I wish I could remember her name because she was fantastic). The inside of the restaurant was very nice as well, very clean. We will definitely be back.

    Pappardelle with duck ragu

We had an absolutely delicious meal with really solid service. The meat salad was delicious. The Caesar salad was good, but not great. The Paccheri Alla Calabrese and the pappardelle with duck ragu were both phenomenal. Nudi was delicate and so yummy. Only complaint: our meal took us over 2 hours even though we had a small party. It was lovely and leisurely...but it also meant that valet parking was $10 (even with validation).

Linguine alle Vongole e Bottarga and Paccheri alla Calabrese

Sotto Sotto is a cozy Italian restaurant that is kind of hidden. It can be easy to miss as there is no flashy sign, but upon entering the restaurant, the vibes are quite immaculate. Most people dining look like they are dressed for a classy event (I was not). It does get quite busy, so I would recommend booking a reservation if possible. The service was quite good as well. My boyfriend and I were excited to try the food because of the ambiance of the restaurant. To start off, we got the Antipasto Misto which came with some good cured meat, cheese, olives, and mushrooms. All of this paired well with the complimentary bread and olive oil. However, we were really let down by our entrees, which took a while to come out. We ordered the Linguine alle Vongole e Bottarga and Paccheri alla Calabrese. My boyfriend said the Linguine alle Vongole e Bottarga had no taste. I tried it and it tasted very clam-y if anything, but I could not taste the olive oil or garlic that was supposedly part of the dish. My Paccheri alla Calabrese tasted like a pasta with tomato sauce and no other seasoning. Maybe I should have asked for more parmesan cheese, but I was not impressed. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but the food was average to me. I would consider coming here again in the far future.

$13 STROZZAPRETI ALLA SALSICCIA (half order): personally, didn't don't love this type of pasta. Came with a ragu meat sauce.

LOCATION: It's kind of hard to see the sign out front but it's right next door to FRITTI PIZZA on NORTH HIGHLAND AVENUE. PARKING: There is only street parking and it gets busy during peak times like dinner or weekends. AMBIANCE: Fancier, fine-dining place. White table cloths. I walked in with workout clothes since I was walking the beltline and still sat at a table which they had no issue with. Even though I was not dressed appropriately for this place! My apologies. SERVICE: I wish I could remember my servers name, she was AMAZING! Will come back and hope she serves me again. FOOD: Great food! I want to come back to try more options. Highly recommend for a fancier date night! One super cool thing they do is serve HALF PORTIONS of their pasta! So if you don't eat as much or want to try more options it's such a great option they have, absolutely love it! $13 STROZZAPRETI ALLA SALSICCIA (half order): Personally didn't love this type of pasta. I'd try something else next time. Came with a ragu meat sauce. $32 POLLETTO AL LIMONE: this chicken was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend. It's so juicy and tender on the inside and very crispy on the skin/outside. The garlic spinach served with it was TO DIE FOR! Loved everything on this dish. PANNA COTTA: it was OK, I'd pass on this one. Just plain with a light drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

I'm literally unsure if I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of my food or I was so excited to eat and I forgot to take a picture of my food. I came here for my birthday. I'm surprised it was my first visit because I love pasta and I love the Virginia Highlands area. But it was an amazing experience. I came out on Friday evening. I had a reservation for two. Was that at the bar had a glass of wine on your table to be ready. We said I cannot remember our servers name, but I wish I did because she was so knowledgeable of the menu and talk us through our whole ordering experience. I ordered a appetizer of muscles. My boyfriend ordered the smoked cheese to accompany our bread. I believe this pictured in my review. We both ended up ordering half portions of pasta. I ordered the Alfredo with shrimp and a mushroom pasta both were to die for. My boyfriend ordered a ravioli and he ordered lasagna . Naturally, I tasted his food and it was good as well. We sat in the interior part in the garden area the lighting the ambience is very pretty. The restaurant is intimate There's definitely a romantic vibe about the restaurant. The kitchen has a window; so it's sort of like an open kitchen concept. I'm surprised there isn't a waitlist going out for how good food was and how much I enjoy myself. I was also brought out pistachio gelato./ice cream for my dessert. It was a really good birthday dinner and I really enjoyed myself

Wine spilled by the waiter on our daughter's shirt. No apology. Crazy.

Wow! What a night. This restaurant has been consistently one of our favorites. We've been going to this restaurant since the 1990's. Almost always we have loved this restaurant. The service was off and the food was not up to par. It was as if there was no management in the restaurant this night. Normally, operations run smoothly. While pouring wine into a glass, the waiter knocked over another open bottle and a glass of water on our daughter's lap soaking her pants, sweater, and splashing her shirt. The hostess came over with a cloth moistened with club soda -ha! Only a dry cleaner could hope to salvage this. No apologies from the waiter and nothing ever mentioned again. Not one word. No one offered to pay for her dry cleaning bill. We soaked it up best we could and asked for new napkins to put under shirt. They didn't even offer to comp dessert. Has us reconsidering our choices. Just wow. Disappointing.

after the struggle of finding parking ... you will not regret coming here. My husband and I came as soon as they opened. Indoor seating is very dark so we chose to sit outside. It is roofed but they also have open windows. If it is cold they also have those tall heater lamps. We got 3 dishes to try different ones and share. It was all 10/10 but if I HAD to choose my favorite, it would be the Mushroom Risotto. OH MY GAWD WAS IT SOOOO DELICIOUS. Service was all super amazing. There's plenty of seating outside, inside, and at the bar. I would definitely be back for date night.

Fabulous dining experience! It is a truly beautiful restaurant with multiple different dining areas both indoor and outdoor. They accommodated our large group of 8 well and were wonderful with our 8 month old daughter (provided a high chair and bread for her to gnaw on throughout the dinner). Service was great and the food even better. We started with a charcuterie board and mussels. Both were great for sharing. For our meals we got a range of pastas including the lasagna, duck ragu, browned butter ravioli and mushroom tagliatelle. All were delicious but the deconstructed lasagna was special and a true wow first bite. I would not miss this dish. A fabulous experience that I would recommend to all!

We were at the restaurant for more than 2 hours, so we paid for the extra time. Our server (Lauren I think was her name) was decent that night, but we felt as if our drinks and food took a long time. As it was Christmas Eve, she gave us a few additional plates that we did not order for free that we thoroughly enjoyed. For starters, we all shared the meatballs, marinated olives, little gem salad and focaccia. I thoroughly enjoyed the salad and focaccia with the salad as one of our "Christmas gifts" that night. The focaccia was served with honey butter and was served warm. My husband and I shared the Margherita Royale. The dough itself had a nice chew and loved the charred bits on the crust. We also shared the charred broccoli, but was nothing to write home about - personally, would not recommend. I ordered an affogato as my dessert. I wasn't expecting the espresso and ice cream to be served separately. I just took sips of the espresso while taking spoonfuls of ice cream - this was easily shared. I do want to give a shout out to their general manager, Macy. She dropped by our table to check how we were enjoying our meal. Two people in our party has been there before to celebrate a big accomplishment and Macy remembered them! She even remembered giving them a gift that night. I think it's worth trying their food! It's in a good location on the beltline, but surrounded by businesses.

I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. All the entertainment is right there in front of you. You're just steps away from the belt line. If you like to people watch, this is for you! They have outdoor seating. A fire pit. Local spots that has live music and you can tend to hear from the patio. This is by far one of my favorite spots in the Ponce area. Let's start with the service. The service is absolutely amazing. I've never had an issue here. Got my food promptly. Always been helpful when conflicted on food options. The service here is 10 out of 10. Phemonenal customer Service, make you feel welcome. Feels like a small community of people, everyone I encoutered were super sweet from servers to bartenders. Treated me like family and I love establishments like that you can get my money ANY day! I'd like to highlight someone special: Alyssa is truly exceptional. She served as my bartender on my latest visit, and I can't say enough good things about her. I look forward to coming in whenever she's working. She's genuine, fun, and her positive energy is a gem. Turning to the cuisine, I have visited the establishment before, and the food is truly exceptional. Two standout appetizers are the Gambas al Ajillo and the garlic-forward, succulent shrimp; the accompanying bread is full of flavor and serves as an excellent introduction to the meal. The Patatas Bravas also deserve special mention--the garlic aioli, chef kiss. As a pescatarian, which is evident in many of my reviews, I cannot comment on the meat options. Nevertheless, there is a noteworthy selection of vegan and gluten-free dishes available. I sampled the Spanish grilled cheese with truffle and garlic aioli--being a fan of garlic, the generous use here was particularly appealing. This reinterpretation of a childhood favorite significantly elevated the dish. Another highlight was the scallops. Although the dish included corn (which I generally avoid), I found it delicious, nonetheless. The scallops were cooked to perfection and infused with rich flavors. The chef demonstrates considerable expertise in crafting these recipes, and I have no complaints regarding my dining experience. Now, a few of my favorite drinks--though everyone might not share the same tastes. When I visit a Spanish-style restaurant, I have my go-to options. One of my favorites is the passionfruit margarita; it's so delicious, it feels like you're on an island. Of course, my all-time favorite is the strawberry margarita--so good and flavorful. It has just the right balance of not too much lime, with a subtle hint of mint--who knew we needed that? Another top pick is the 'Dragon on Vacation.' I usually avoid spicy drinks, so I had the habanero removed, but it's still the perfect blend of dragon fruit flavor in a margarita--so good. I also love a good Paloma; I appreciate its little kick. Overall, I have no complaints about these drinks!

I ordered the CRISPY PIMENTON CHICKEN which was essentially a fried chicken with hot honey sauce and that was enjoyable. The caprese salad was good but my tomato's were a bit mushy.
