Went to Whisky Mistress and left with mixed feelings. Let's start with the good. The live music and drinks are the real draw. The vibe is fun once things get going, but be prepared to wait. Live music started over an hour late, and there's not much standing room, so I'd recommend reserving a table. Now, onto the food. I ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp Tacos (three to a plate), which were supposed to be fried shrimp topped with Asian slaw and boom boom sauce. What I got instead? Iceberg lettuce, shredded cheese, and a light drizzle of sauce. Not what was described or expected, or worth $20. Only bottled water available - small bottles for $5+. I declined. The price point overall didn't make much sense throughout the entire menu. To top it off, my friend ordered a Moscato and was given the wrong wine - Chardonnay, if I remember correctly. The waitress initially pushed back, but as the wine aficionado of the group, I could confidently say it wasn't Moscato. She eventually took it back to the bar, apologized, and swapped it. This is one of my favorite places in Atlanta. It has such a great and welcoming vibe. It definitely is an older crowd for sure and they play older music but they also play Afrobeats Caribbean music and new music as well. It's just a guaranteed good time here. They have an indoor and outdoor area on Sundays and the music is always good. People are friendly and it's a vibrant atmosphere. The only reason I wouldn't give this place five stars is because the food is just OK. I ordered the shrimp pasta and it had what tasted like almost no seasoning. Everything was cooked nicely. The shrimp was cooked nicely and the pasta was as well but it just needed some salt and I was disappointed because they gave me plastic cutleries and I was looking to see if they had the little salt and black pepper packet in it and it didn't so I couldn't even add any salt on top to make it a little bit more flavorful. Came here with my freind, we put it on our list to visit. We ordered food, I got chicken tenders and fries she ordered the shrimp pasta. There's a 20% gratuity charge included. Food: the food was very lack luster, my chicken tenders were over cooked and the fries were unfortunately undercooked and flavorless. I dont care what anyone says, whiskey mistress is one of the best night time clubs or lounges in the city. It has been tried and true for all the years that I've been here. Which is only about three and a half lol! It depends on what day you go, that makes a big difference. Thursdays and Sundays are usually the days that have the biggest draw in the largest crowd. Now when I say the largest crowd, I mean you could be shoulder to shoulder with some people as you move through the crowd. But the space is not that small so you kind of have to do what you have to do. There are a couple outside areas, which me and my friends go and smoke cigars. Is first come first serve seating when it gets to that but it's still a good vibe if you find a seat. Upstairs they sell cigars and have a separate bar as well. Again, the spot isn't all that big. The drinks are a bit pricey, but what can you really do about that? The band has always been solid though. Every time they have live entertainment, it's always good. The live entertainment usually starts on the later side though. So if you expect to get there at 8:00 to see live music, you have a couple more hours left. Usually about 10:00 or 11:00 you may see some live music but before that, don't count on it lol. This is one of my favorite places in the city, I would never tell anybody anything different. It was the first place that I had a great time when I moved down here and it's still consistent, even after all of the covid that wrecked the world. Now I suggest that you book a table (depending on how many in your party) because the standing room is limited without a table. There are virtually no places to sit, you either get a table, or find a spot on the patios (again, first come first serve) but as long as you go into it knowing that, you will be fine. Nice lounge in Buckhead. This is definitely a grown folks lounge with a 40+ crowd. They have good live music and a dj. I havent eaten here but the food looks good. The bartender do a good job of keeping up with the crowd. Theres a huge patio in the back which is good is you want to step outside and cool off from the crowd. On the night of March 6, 2025. I visited this establishment. I am visiting from Los Angeles for work and I was told to check this place out. I am very disappointed with the level of service that I received by one particular server. My Sister and I were told that all the tables upstairs were reserved and to sit downstairs where there wasn't a reserved sign at the table which we did. It was a small table for two. We arrived early when it was practically no one there yet. We spent well over $200. Valet was $30 and the rest on food and drinks. As we were sitting trying to enjoy the music and vibes the server who seemed to be the only server available on the first floor told us we had to get up because the table was reserved. Taking into consideration the place was still fairly empty and again there was no reserved sign placed on the table. I was enjoying myself up until that moment and she killed the whole vibe. Live band with great vibes! I went on a Thursday evening and it was a good time! The scene doesn't really get started til about 10. The drinks are good here, strong and decently priced ($12-$15 on average) . G was our bartender and provided good service to us. They also have hookah ($45) with a variety of flavor options. We ate while there also and i had the boom boom shrimps with fries (jumbo fried shrimp) that comes with the sauce on the side. The shrimp were good and I'm glad the sauce came on the side because it was my favorite, wish it had more spice and seasoning to it. My friends had wings which were good (crispy and seasoned well). They provide valet parking $20 and self parking $10. This little place gets packed so I would recommend reserving a table. read more

The absolutely only reason I'm giving this place a two is because the band and the DJ were amazing!!! I have not been to this place in years but my friend's and I decided to go for our birthday 7/29 but bday is 7/30. The vibe was really hype as soon as we got there around 8. The DJ kept the energy going until the band started. The one thing I had an issue with, which was not like this before, is that we had to either buy bottle service or we would have to leave our table at 10 o'clock. Well, my friend's husband ended up having to spend $500 for a small bottle of Patron and Jameson just so we can have a table for the night. I think this is absurdly ridiculous at this establishment. We would probably , between seven of us have spent that amount of money anyway, but you're going to force us to buy tiny bottles of alcohol that half of us don't drink anyway. And the crazy part about it is that all these tables were full like that. So they're making $500 per table. For one I heard there are new owners. Because I don't remember it ever being like that. We used to pay a cover to get in and listen to the band sit down if we wanted to have food if we wanted to . I find this to be extremely ridiculous that these places are charging this amount for a table. Not to mention the most disturbing part about it is that we all ordered food, and it came out in to go containers ! I said, why are we being served in to-go containers? Do they not have plates? Do they not have silverware? Do they not have dishwashers? And we also were served our drinks in plastic cups. So I'm not sure if it's because a change of ownership that they don't own dishes and don't have a dishwasher, but that was very disturbing for the amount of money that we spent to be served in styrofoam containers. Not to mention, they're not sturdy because mine, which had shrimp pasta in it, spilled all over my white dress. In preparation of this discussion they gave the audience the opportunity to write down any questions they wanted answered. My friend ordered a few drinks and there were some inconsistencies in the drinks but according to him they were enjoyable anyway. That leads us to the food on the menu... We were positioned in a spot to see everything that came out of the kitchen and I must say every dish looked amazing. We were not very hungry but we were tempted to order something lite off the menu (Chill Chicken skewers and fries) which BTW was incredible! I visited Whiskey Mistress for a karaoke event/game night hosted by Tia Becca. I had never been here before, so I didn't really know what to expect. Parking: So, there's valet and self parking. BOTH are $10, so you might as well valet. This honestly makes no sense to me. If I parked my own car, it should be free. Atmosphere: I love the set up and decor of Whiskey Mistress. Food & Drinks: While we were waiting for the festivities to start, we decided to order some drinks. I ordered "The Filmmaker" made with Hennessy VS ($14). Very strong drink that kicked in ASAP. I guess for $14, it better. After a while, we got a little hungry and ordered Loaded Fries ($8). It's loaded with cheddar cheese, bacon, sour cream, and chives. Not bad at all. This place is putrid! They treat their patrons like herds of cattle, shuffling them along aggressively. Their bouncers are sneering and aggressive idiots that have the decorum and social etiquette of cave men. They are Neanderthals. I can't express enough svoiding this place. 1. When we arrived there was no valet. We were directed to a lot to park and while driving over there as we were already parking the valet arrived and asked that I pay $20 to park my own car. I stated that we were directed here to park for free. 2 Ordered catfish. I was told it was on the way. 20 min later when I inquired I was told oh I thought they brought it to you. The waitress went to get it and it was cold. 3. We pre paid $385 for table and bottle service to be told we needed to pay a $10 difference. I paid it in cash 4. We then ordered more food. When the bill for the food arrived the prices on the bill didn't match the prices on the menu. When we inquired we were told those prices included tax and gratuity yet there was gratuity at the bottom of the bill. 5. As the night was ending the hostess comes over with another hill for $85. I asked what this was for. She says the difference of the bottle. I said no. We paid the $10 difference we were quoted though we shouldn't have. She then goes on to tell me the bottle was $300. I went here on a Saturday around 3pm to watch football. It was ok at the most. The service was fine but the place was small and the food was over priced for the type of food that they had. I ordered a chicken sandwich and they brought me 2 sliders with a ton of fries. The sliders were dry. I sent them back and got the shrimp tacos. You ever been somewhere and everyone was nice, the food was good, the security was pleasant and the server service was good and then you have a bad experience ordering a drink at the bar? So this white male tall skinny middle aged bartender almost ruined my night and experience. Luckily the rest of the staff saved him. First I ordered a drink. I presented my card. It's an Amex. He looks at the card disgusted and basically flips it back at me like we done take this. Rude #1. Then I go get my friends card to pay because I don't have another form of payment available. Just after he swipes her card my friend comes and puts in a drink order. I tell him because hey it is loud. He Then ROLLS HIS EYES, throws a glass with a light and pen on the bar and proceeds to make her drink. RUDE #2. He then snatched my friends card from me, and I hold the pen to prepare to sign her ticket for her drink and he reaches over the bar snatches the Pen from me and throws it back in the glass with the light even though he just took the same card from me to sign again. RUDE #3!!!! I don't know what side of the bed this OLDER Middle AGED WHITE TALL SkInnY Build GENTLEMAN woke up on but literally everyone beside me at the bar was upset with his behavior and I had to remember that he was just a rude person and the rest of the staff was amazing.
