A few customers but not much going on. Two staff at the front counter, others walking around, seemingly unoccupied. I asked a staff member standing in the paint department where the floor and porch paint was. He replied, "Huh? What are you looking for?" I repeated my request for porch paint. He looked confused. My wife, a professional painter, joined me and prompted him again, asking for floor paint. He replied he didn't think there was floor paint -- it did not exist-- but he would look. A few minutes later, he announced with some incredulity that he found the floor and porch paint on a top shelf, well out of our reach or line of sight. He began to read the labels: "We have gray, light base, medium base, and dark base. What color do you want?" I asked him what colors were available and then repeated the four labels on the cans. We left the store. Won't be going back. Rudeness and stupidity like this pretty much insure we will be ordering our floor paint online.

Was told by the employee I could bring it back with the receipt and receive a full return. 24 hours later I brought it back with the recipe and was told no refund because of a close out. I wouldn't have purchased it in the first place had I known that. The item was only $10.49, not a lot of money, it's the principal, no apology, have a good morning, very unprofessional. Last time for me. Beware, I gave the item back to the clerk, now they can sell it to some else.

I got the runaround by the lady owner. She said we don't sell these. I went back to the rack where I bought them from and showed her that she did. She told me to come back on Monday. This was Friday. When I got there on Monday morning, she said we're not going to honor it. Do you have a receipt. You don't need a receipt it's like snap on and craftsman. Besides, who keeps a receipt from years ago, for a set of Allen head sockets. I grew up in Howard city, and I remember when Manson's was downtown and they were a great place to go before they moved into the old Olsen knife building where they are now. I would drive 100 miles to buy something somewhere else to avoid going to this place I would never ever buy another thing from them. Avoid them at all cost.

After the first associate couldn't find that section for bulbs, he called for help and we were directed to the correct spot. I specifically mentioned the voltage at the onset which he either didn't pay attention to or disregarded thereby trying to sell me on buying the wrong one". He insisted in so many words that he was correct and I was incorrect although I had the orig. burnt out one in my possession for validity. I had to explain to him for a couple minutes before he hopefully caught on. Guess he's been working there for years. Good thing I took in the orig or "I wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Proof wise that is.

The owner came in and was just as friendly and helpful and they even gave the other store a call to make sure they would hold it for us. They didn't get our business but still were fantastically helpful and friendly. I will make an effort to revisit and use their service. This store has been around for a long time and it's evident that it's because they go above and beyond for their customers. Way to go!

This Fourth of July weekend, I decided to visit a local racetrack for some much-needed two-wheel…read moretherapy. Unfortunately, I forgot that it's been a while since I've ridden on a track and found myself and my motorcycle parting ways in an undignified way on the first day of my holiday weekend. I ended up grinding down and twisting a few metal pieces essential to continuing my fun- so I found the nearest hardware store and ended up here. To my surprise, they were extremely well-stocked (a far cry from the hardware stores near where I live!) and extremely helpful, pointing me to the right aisle for each item in the list I'd brought. My visit was a total of less than 15 minutes, but it saved my holiday weekend. Thanks!!
