But I do have to say that the doctors, nurses, surgery dept., radiology, nurses in the delivery dept. Lab, Dr Brown in urology, the ladies at the check in desk and everyone else behind the scenes. Everyone is very courteous and always seem concerned about there patients. They are always very professional. I'm glad that we have a hospital in this area that is always prepared and has the doctors and specialist to take care of you. The only critism I have is sometimes if u have to go to the ER after hours it can be a long wait even once they put u n a room, but that is the same at every ER I've been to.. so don't drive along ways to a hospital when Johnson County Regional here in Clarksville, AR is top notch.

It is a regional hospital with a large following of patients and folks that use the hospital. I too have used the hospital on occasion, although it is not my favorite in the area. I find the facilities overall old, and the facility is difficult to maneuver and get around in... It's a little bit like a maze. I also have had some experiences at the hospital that I did not care for although I don't know that I could point it to poor service or poor care... It was probably just more my preference.

However, when we took her to Baptist Health, they stated that Sallisaw was not correct and they showed us the X-ray that showed the brake was closer to my daughters elbow. We were so happy they were able to tell us the issue, and we're able to get our daughter on the correct path to fix her arm. All the staff were very nice and helpful. Unsure how the ratings of this place can be low, but our visits have been great. My Sleep Study was scheduled there and they were the fastest folks who were able to get me accommodated for the study and kept me from having to wait 3 months! Thanks to Mercy Sleep Study - I slept like a baby in spite of being hooked up with a plethora of cords like a guinea pig! I was grateful for a nice, big, clean room (with private bath) for my sleep study and happy to get it done quickly with little to no wait! The nurse who helped me, as well as the hospital attendants, were all friendly and helpful. The team was thoughtful and friendly. In a nod to history (photos) and in the spirit of compassion (God's Word & a prayer request receptacle) - the hospital had a copy of the Bible available in the waiting area as well as photos of area churches displayed in decorative photos along the walls of the facility.

The nurses were keeping close watch on our loved one, administering frequent morphine, and keeping the family in the room well informed of everything going on. Then a high ranking person from the marketing department came into the room carrying her folder, and asked if it was a bad time. We didn't know who she was until she then gave a bubbly introduction of herself, giving us her ranking title from the marketing department and went into a rehearsed script. The scripting isn't greatly inappropriate or overly offensive here. But, the bubbly, high-ranking marketing representative going into some kind of script, standing next to the bed of your imminently dying loved one, very much is inappropriate and offensive. Think about how fast you would interrupt and hang up on a telemarketer calling you in that moment. When the hospital marketing official is standing there in-person, in this situation, it feels exponentially worse. The question "Is this a bad time?" is ridiculous for her to ask. How could an official from the hospital possibly not know that, yes, it is a very bad time. There is no need for someone from the administration office to come into the room to check on anything at all at that time. That's the job of the nurses and doctors. It is an incredibly disconnected group of human beings that think that someone from their administrative office needs to go into the room to supplement anything their nurses are doing for the family. The nursing staff was doing their jobs in the loving and competent way that a nursing staff does. It's baffling that the administration at this hospital is this terrible at their jobs, with their narcissistic idea that things will fall apart if they don't make an appearance. It's the type of administration that thinks the hospital operates because of them, when actually it operates the best it can despite them.

Dr Carter has a full service clinic with the ability to do the majority of tests in house! He focuses on adult and geriatric medicine so you will need to go elsewhere for peds or OBGyn, but if you fit into one of the first two, he is the man for the job!! Dr. Carter is consistently recognized for his above and beyond level of care and professionalism, and will go the extra mile for his patients!

I chose this urgent care facility because of its ratings and proximity to the truck stop. Hesitant because of the unfamiliarity, I made my way in. Everyone I saw was pleasant. I had a short wait time, and an efficient visit. The next day I had a follow up question and request, both were addressed instantaneously. This staff put me at ease, and made me wish they were in my home town. Very much appreciated:)

Every single person I encountered deserves an award for excellence in customer care. I was pampered from the minute I walked into the ward and that care continued until I was discharged. Nurses Teddi, Meagan, Ms. Kathy provided top notch care. Everyone, the nurses and their techs, Casey, Amber and Cody were always happy to fulfill any request I had at any time of the day or night. Check out was super easy and fast. I'm a Medicare patient, I felt like I received private PPO insurance. The cost might seem expensive to some but, the care can be beat. While I hope to never return, if I should that's where I would hope to be placed.

I was charged $3000 for the ER doctors because they are contracted and not employees of the hospital, therefore not covered by my insurance. (the doctors spent a total of 10 minutes with me at the very most) The hospital and the doctor do not have to tell you that you will be billed by the doctor and that they may not be covered. I attempted twice to talk to the Baptist Health Business office and the woman was extremely rude. Needless to say I will NEVER use Baptist Health again!
