This business must be running well until me. I called for a garage door replacement 2 months ago, owner asked me for 1k down to order the door, so I did. Then he never showed up at the scheduled time, stopped replying my calls and messages. It took me lawyer to get him back in touch and now we are sparing time each week trying to chase our money back. The owner is full of excuses and lies. 1k is not a small amount to any family, certainly not to mine. I've been so impressed by Rob at North Metro Garage. I found him 4 or 5 years ago via yelp and he's saved me on several occasions, at several homes. (Once even after hours in a snow storm!) My daughter's garage door would not open. I called North Metro (Rob) and mentioned the issue. Since I was 10 min from her house, I stated I would call him back with what I saw. There was only one spring on the garage door and it was broken (Homeowner NOTE: You should have two springs on your door in case one does break. Then you can at least open the garage door to get your car out. I had 2 when one of my springs broke and I could still get the door open. I also had both replaced since it really did not cost much more) I called Rob and stated it was a broken spring and that there was only one spring. He stated he would be there in an hour as he needed to get some supplies. He showed up on time with two springs and put everything together in under an hour...includes my casual chatting. Rob also noticed the top panel of the door had a crack in it and it would not have long to go. He put up some angle iron to secure the crack until a fix could be made. Great response, great service, great guy, good prices. What a value. My daughter will be using him to replace the top panel and he will be my go-to for any future garage door/opener needs. My garage door spring broke Friday afternoon, and I contacted Robert after seeing great reviews here on Yelp. He answered the phone and asked me to send over my information via text as he was in the middle of a job. I did, and we made plans to meet on Saturday. When he got to the house (on-time and texted in advance) he took a look at the garage and was ready to begin work. I explained that the springs had been replaced not that long ago. He told me that there is a 'Heavy Duty' spring replacement option that would last ~3x as long, and wasn't significantly more expensive. I of course decided to go for that option! I wanted to give Robert kudos for 1) coming out on a Saturday and 2) telling me about an option that meant he would have to make another trip out (he didn't have the HD springs in stock). He came back this morning, did a great job replacing the springs and fixing a couple broken hinges. Robert is a one man business and he is extremely friendly and does great work. I called him about a broken torsion spring and he was able to make it over in under 2 hours. When I asked for a price for the spring and replacement he said it was $150 which was quite a bit cheaper than other places in the area. After having the spring replaced in 20-30 minutes he noticed the door was not sliding as well as it could. So he took an extra 30-45 minutes to make sure the door worked better and didn't charge anything for the extra effort. I also asked about weather stripping for the bottom of the garage door since the things offered at Home Depot were not large enough to fill the gap caused by an uneven concrete floor. He offered to call the manufacturer and see if they could provide anything better. If I ever have any garage door troubles in the future I won't hesitate to call him. read more

Called this company on a Referral from a Friend, after our Garage door broke. The Company was Professional and Flexible on Scheduling a Repair as soon as it was convenient for US (I believe it was the same day even). Robert did a Great job of fixing the problem quickly & efficiently. It was also Very Affordable (unlike some other quotes we had gotten). We still have his company's contact Information super handy, right by the Garage door button in the Garage...so that if we have any other concerns we can call Rob immediately. The cables on our garage door drums had come off completely. We then noticed that the spring had broken in two. We called Robert at around 10:45 Friday evening thinking to leave a voicemail when he actually answered the phone. We let him know what the issues were and he quoted us a price of $175. I called Robert last Sunday night (late) with a broken garage door. Robert had other things to do Monday morning, but rearranged his schedule to meet our needs.
