I moved to the Ponchatoula area about 4 years ago from Metairie and needed to find new doctors. My oldest daughter had lived here 2 years prior to me and seen two she didn't care for and didn't feel listened too, I asked my daughter's coworker for a recommendation since she was a medical assistant and she suggested, Drs. Moody & Berry. I called and got an immediate appointment with Dr. Berry and he was amazing, he listened to every concern and complaint and made sure I was comfortable and at ease, as much a one can be in that situation. I told my oldest daughter how much I loved him and she finally went to see him and she also loved him, especially after he was able to find out what had been wrong with her for the past couple years, multiple ER visits, Urgent Care visits and 2 prior gyn doctors. I've suggested him to numerous family members looking for a good gynecologist, even those in Metairie and my cousin is looking to schedule her appointment as well. If you're looking for a good gynecologist, not OB/GYN, they no longer deliver babies, these are the doctors to see.

i had been a patient there previously seeing dr steve lee. but i moved away for a few years and…read morerecently returned. when i called to make a appt, they told me dr. lee was no longer there, but i made a appt anyway. when i got there, they seemed confused and unsure why i was there and had me make another appt with a different doctor. so i wasted two ( 2 ) hours driving and 1/4 tank of gas for nothing. when i returned, i met this " sour faced " dr. eckersh who spent less than five ( 5 ) minutes in the room then sent me off for a 2nd opinion for neck surgery and no meds !!! in my professional, medical opinion - do not go there. dr. lee went to liberty intervention in slidell or go to broc in baton rouge. i remain, james d. hodges nmtcb_rt retired

Please do your research on Dr LARRY THIRSTRUP before going here.( just google medical review board…read more) I was treated terribly, I left out of the office in tears, he fraudulently put that I " self discharged" from the clinic when I asked to speak to the owner because of the way I was being treated, yelled at me and tried to gas lite me, I went home not knowing what I did wrong only to find that he has had multiple disciplinary actions against him since 2014 & this seems to be a pattern with him. I called the doctors office and asked to speak to the owner of the clinic and they completely disregarded my complaint and what happened in the doctors office that day. I have since sent them four emails with absolutely no response ... So I called & When I brought up his previous disciplinary actions, the secretary told me they would never hire a doctor to work for pain management that had previous disciplinary actions.... Like I said, you can do your own research just pull up his name and just put disciplinary actions it comes up along with his picture. I made the complaints that I needed to make & I'm in the process of taking it way further up the ladder. Hopefully I can start my healing journey soon . I cannot find another doctor so I was forced to get on Subutex to keep from withdrawing & now I'm in constant pain .... If you have any issues, please make a complaint yourself with the medical review board, your insurance company and take it all the way to congress if you have to... PATIENTS voices matter.. please remember without you they would not have a job. ... and DOCTORS Please remember that oath you took as doctors when treating patients.. no matter our race, age or insurance, we shouldn't be discriminated against and treated poorly. I cancelled an appnt because of this reason and was called by someone at the office to give it another try. The lady who suggested this was very nice so I did so. Oh and do I regret it. He asked me to explain my pain only to cut me off to rudely to tell me I'm talking in circles.I totally understand that some professions are under alot of pressure but it's their job to remain transparent.After him being rude towards me I must admit I did the same to him in return.To make matters worst before it was my time to see him,I witnessed another woman coming out from his office and she stated"He needs to learn how to talk to ppl." So I figure it's his way.But that doesn't make it right.Patience, mannerisms are needed to get to know your patients and that's something he doesn't have. Seems he has in his mind that certain ppl aren't really in pain they are there to solely receive pain medicine. And it's understandable but he shouldn't put everyone in the same category.How can you help anyone if you don't have a listening ear or a judgemental frame of mind. I truly hope he realizes everyone of all ages,color,status deserves to be treated with care
