North Pole Cooling Corp did a wonderful job installing my ac. For setting up the appointment, Jason was extremely prompt and flexible with working around my schedule to install the ac asap. We provided our own AC and Jason quoted me a price better/comparable to Home Depot's independent contractors. While others make you buy the window bracket, they include it in their install price. For the install, Jose and Josh were fantastic. They were quick, friendly, professional and extremely efficient. So far, so good! I needed help, and quick, and somehow had the good fortune to choose North Pole Cooling from the list on Yelp. Within three hours from my first contact, Jason had arrived, friendly and knowledgeable. He sized up the situation, made his recommendation, then turned to the issue of installation, made careful measurements of the sleeve, consulted with a team member who'd worked in my building and gave me a couple of options re the sleeve. I signed up then and there. Later, a friend in my building to whom I mentioned North Pole, told me he'd used them too and they had been "super efficient," in fixing a problem from the original installer. The friend's experience with North Pole made me even more confident that I'd made the right decision to hire them. I'm highly disappointed in how this company handles scheduling for estimates. I've been in contact with this company since June 11th for ductless AC installation and a wall AC replacement. I had to call multiple times to then be told email was the best way to contact Jason. I spoke with Jason on June 15th and he said he needed to see the space for the estimate. I made an appointment for the estimate two weeks out for any time in the morning but was never told an exact time that he could come out. I had to call that week to find out a time and was told that it depends on Jason's schedule. The day before my appointment, I received an email saying that Jason has to come in the evening of my scheduled day, which was not my original request. Nevertheless, I emailed back that I will do the evening. I got no response back. I emailed the morning of my appointment to confirm a time again and Jason responded that possibly Saturday could work because with all the heat, he's getting a lot of calls. Again, on good faith for the quality of work I read about, I attempted to reschedule for Saturday, my email was met with no response. I texted Jason Saturday morning to confirm if he was able to come that afternoon and he responded that he would keep me posted. It's now Tuesday and I haven't heard from anyone. Based on other reviews about how great the company was, I was looking forward to working with them. Unfortunately, I had to find another company to assist with the job. This has been a waste of time and a headache. For all it's worth, Suzi who works the phones was great and every time I called she was pleasant and did her best to make an appointment for me so my stars are for her. read more

He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, conscientious, courteous, and checked in with me at every appropriate time when decisions had to be made about installation and aesthetics. Highly recommend this place. Friendly, on time, knowledgeable. There were three possible problems with our large 7 year old 36000 BTU window AC. We were looking at over $3000 to replace it but North Pole found it was only the GFI plug and had it repaired and running in one short visit and for exactly their quoted amount. read more

Similar to a prior post, I didn't have a good experience. They were polite to speak with, but gave a much too high estimate for the work and insisted an expensive unit was the only one I could use when it wasn't. I had another contractor give an estimate and was able to install a less expensive AC at a much lower overall price. Get a second opinion if something doesn't sound right, I'm glad I did. read more

These guys were great. They came in, gave me an estimate to fix replace 1 machine and fix another. What I really appreciated about working with these guys is that they didn't just try to sell me 2 new units, they recognized that 1 of my machines was in otherwise great condition and needed a simple repair. These guys deserve a great review. I scheduled them to come out and check 2 AC units and then completely forgot about it. I left my son with a babysitter to go to a doctor's appointment when they showed up at my house, ready to fix my AC. My babysitter was unaware that they'd be coming and didn't let them in and they were unable to reach me for at least an hour. When they finally reached me they were understandably frustrated but remained very professional in the context of a very chaotic situation that was completely my fault. I spoke to a very rude man on the phone. I asked if he would be able to walk me through the services they provide. I was told window, central or through-the-wall tube. Ok great! I was trying to understand the concept of central AC and how it works and well as through-the-wall. The man was very upset I asked any questions as he called my name and said this is not Q&A. Excuse me, I am inquirying about your service and a quick explaination of how it works. I am not asking for a manual I simmply requested if it is doable and applicable to my apartment. Do you live in an apartment? I already answered this, I kindly said yes. He was upset I did not provide information, I asked please let me know what kind of information I can provide, he got very upset I asked that. I do not know what information you are seeking if you don't askk me what you need. I found that call to be the most unprofessional call. I work in sales, a corporate setting, sure these guys are not well trained in articulation. I suggest you get a sales person to relay services provided as those workers provided the actual service are not cut to speak with a potential customer. Boo to the man that is unable to have a conversation about your work. That is why you install AC and not sell to customers. read more

Their sales team is great, but their service department is even better! We purchased our Friedrich air conditioner from them and unfortunately had a number of problems with the unit, no fault of North Pole, and their response has been exceptional. They worked directly with Friedrich to make sure all the work/parts were covered under warranty and were able to return the unit to us quickly.
