The SHORT story... I flew in for my sons wedding Monday night, I accompanied my soon to be DIL to the beauty salon Tuesday noontime... I discover she does not have a bouquet. YELP!!! I find the North Raleigh Florist and give them a call. I ask about the Wrapped Bouquet, it would be for a bride, could it be made with the idea of simplicity , elegance, with hints of blue. THEN... I boldly ask if they can have it done in a half hour. (Called at 1:28pm spoke to the woman for 7 minutes , the wedding is at 3:00pm) I call my son to let him in on my last minute shenanigans, he is out getting gas and will pick them up... He arrives to North Raleigh Florist at 2:01pm... Not only was the bouquet done... it was absolutely AMAZING!!! Did I mention how the woman on the phone was as nice as could be!!! LONG story of how we arrived to the short story ... My son tells me when I am down in NC the last week of April he is getting married 6-22. In my mind that is June 2022. We make small talk about it, I get back to CT. While talking on the phone a few weeks later, he tells me he is looking at suits for the wedding. SMH a year ahead of time??? Turns out he meant June 22,2021!!! His mindset, it's not really THE wedding! Due to life, covid they decided a courthouse ceremony for the Moment, the REAL wedding later. He continues to say that he didn't want to impose on me because I was just there. Yes, we did talk about it but my mind was in 2022. He felt, due to my lack of inquiries, that I understood it is not the REAL thing. He was grateful that I understood and respected their decision. And of course it's not the REAL wedding!!! NOT THE REAL WEDDING... REALLY! Yes, all you Moms out there, you bet right I did go full on "MOM" on him! To complete the story, I am quickly asking for the address, which, oops, I misunderstood. I sent my son to the wrong address! The very nice, patient woman did a three way call to guide my son to the correct address. New to the area, looked for local florist, read reviews for the North Raleigh Florist, all seemed pleasant with good service, so I said why not, I gave them a call to place an order. Was told their address was on Capital Blvd, not thinking anything of it. Low and behold I used GPS to address given, and I end up at a florist called Fallons Florist, not North Raleigh Florist like I called. Thinking what the heck so GPS kept giving me another address for North Raleigh Florist, after about 45 minutes driving I called North Raleigh Florist, asked where are you located, I was told Capital Blvd, and the phone attendant says yes, we are on Capital Blvd, you're to pick up your birthday balloons at our sister store. Like I knew I was supposed to go to a florist with a whole new name? Ridiculous, was put on such a run around. When I arrived ballooned looked as though the were already deflating, I indicated they where not what I was expecting. The florist inflated balloons once more, and I expressed to them I felt as if I was given the runaround with the bait and switch florist names, I wasn't happy. Kindly took my items and left. She was not helpful at all....just pointed here and there and told him to choose. After learning Fallon's charged additional fees for a same day delivery & the poor customer service, he chose to leave. Then, he stumbled upon North Raleigh Florist!! He spoke with Teresa & she was FANTASTIC! She spent a lot of time determining what he wanted and didn't want & also pulled up their website to show him more options. I'll update this when I hear from my niece and see the flowers and balloon bouquet I ordered if it lives up to what they say their standards are. It was supposed to be delivered today and still nothing. My niece has been waiting for it and delayed her dinner plans to wait for it. This is not acceptable for a supposedly reputable company. If you can't deliver the same day don't offer those services. My suggestion deliver to the nearest locations first. Get the easy ones out of the way then complete the furthest delivery. It's the same distance to your dispatch center and you at least get the majority of your delivery done and keep most of the customers happy. Man so embarrassing to offer a gift to someone and not have it show up. Update- The owner reached out to me and is actually a stand up guy. He seemed very sincere; apologized for the experience and made things right. Thank you Kevin! It definitely made a difference in my perception of your company. I was referred to this florist by the funeral home next door to them. My Father suddenly passed away and I had to fly in from California. I didn't know about any vendors in the Raleigh area. I only used them because I assumed that my funeral home wouldn't refer me to a crappy place. Well... to start with, I explained to them that I was sent over by the funeral home and I told the girl at the front counter what kind of flowers I wanted(cala lilies). She had the "deer in the headlights look" so her superior(Janice, I think it was) came over to help out. Janice was polite enough, but not what I would have expected when I tell you that I'm here to pick out flowers for a funeral i'm planning... A little more compassion and empathy would have gone a long way for her! Although I wasn't blown away by her personality, I assumed that she would get my flower order done correctly. After all, this WAS for a funeral and I did spend a lot of money for these arrangements. Not like it was just a birthday party flower order that got messed up! When I got to the funeral home on the day of my Father's service I found that my largest arrangement was not done correctly. It wasn't even close to being correct! It was missing the most important flowers...the cala lilies! The first thing I told her I wanted was cala lilies! It was supposed to have cala lilies, red roses, and gladiolas. The entire arrangement only had gladiolas! My funeral home director called her and tried to get her to rectify the situation. She wouldn't!! She told him to tell me to come done there so we could talk about it! First of all, I had a funeral to be at in a couple of hours...the last thing I had time for was to go down there and argue with her about how she messed up my order! She should have done the right thing and fixed this for me. Especially since that funeral home gives her a ton of business! I was also disappointed that she didn't do the right thing because a lot of people that I know used her company to send flowers to my Dad's service. What a shame she is! How can you screw people around when they're dealing with the death of a loved one?!? I'd suggest that you NEVER use this business! read more

I sent them an email about it, and promptly got a reply. Not a template email, either; a personal phone call. A few minutes later, they were working on a full replacement of the bouquet, and it was ready for pickup the next business day. They even added a generous gift card towards a future order for my trouble. Pam and her team do excellent work, and they stand by it. I was thankful for the gift of birthday flowers delivered fresh. The arrangement was bright and looked well thought out. I was impressed at how long they lasted, as well. Calla lilies tend to be so tempermental, and the ones in this arrangement held up a week or more. I have ordered flowers from North Raleigh Florist quite frequently in the past. For my mom's birthday, I ordered an arrangement for her and was excited to receive the call to say how much she loved it. Unfortunately, she called to tell me that the flowers didn't look very fresh and looked like they would wilt in a few days. Concerned, I called North Raleigh Florist to express my concerns. The woman on the phone was very patient with me and very kind. She assured me that the flowers were delivered that morning and was unsure why they were like that as all flowers go through a final inspection before getting delivered. She assured that my mom could bring the flowers back and she would take care of it. Before my mom could do that, North Raleigh Florist delivered the new, beautiful arrangement to her the next day. She was so happy that it made up for her small disappointment the day before. By the way, the new arrangement was purple. Her favorite color! I was just married on October 19, 2019 and I had North Raleigh Florist do several bouquets, hair pieces, boutonnieres, corsages, and flower petals for my flower girl. Let me tell you, I had no idea what I was doing throughout my wedding planning and did about 90% of it all on my own (including 2 bouquets and 3 boutonnieres to save some on cost). I worked with Tom Land during the consult and for the rest of the process, and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed and amazed at what he came up with. My bridal bouquet was GORGEOUS and had all of the colors I wanted - purples, greens, yellows, browns, you know those fall colors; they were cascading and gorgeous sunflowers jumped out from the bouquet. The flower pieces were way more gorgeous than I was expecting and met all of my expectations and then some. My hair stylist was even impressed cause she was able to work it right into my hair and it stayed in place until about 2 am! I lost one petal on that sunflower hair piece but that was probably just because my stylist was a little rough; other than that though, the sunflowers never wilted and stayed in my hair as well as my two sister's hair all night long. There were two things that were the most important to me, and that was my flowers and my photography. I wanted both of those elements more than I wanted anything else and wasn't afraid to spend some money on it. I had searched around and had talked to a few disappointing vendors in the area, but none were as good as North Raleigh Florist. North Raleigh Florist was prompt, attentive, and provided excellent customer service throughout the whole thing. There was no chasing them, or playing phone tag, or wondering if I was going to get what I was envisioning. They just did quality work and provided me with some of the most gorgeous flowers I have ever seen. I definitely recommend them for any event, but especially for weddings! When I called to discuss my order, their service said they were closed, but press #1 and we will take your order. The receptionist (off site) placed the order incorrectly. When I tried to call back, no one would help me as again, no one was in the shop at 1:00pm on a Friday! I asked to receive a return call from the florist ... but no one responded. I'm very happy with the service of this florist! They delivered some flowers to my mother in the hospital. But in the meantime, she had been moved to rehab. They went BACK over to the hospital, picked up the flowers, and took them across town to the rehab center. This was way beyond what was required of them, and was really helpful.
