We have Kelly Odom deliver all the time to our offices for birthdays, anniversary's, etc. I've always been blown away by their arrangements. A few months ago I needed flowers for personal use and went to the shop. The process was very seamless. I went in not really knowing what I needed, but the staff was able to walk me through the process of who they were for/what occasion/what kind of message I wanted to send and what style of flowers/colors I preferred. I trusted their expertise, and they turned out excellent. If you aren't really sure of what you want, they are great are helping you through the process and putting together some really stunning arrangements. The only knock is the price, and while not priced outside of what you receive (I do think the quality is well worth the price), there are some more economical options that will get the job done. I received a bouquet of beautiful white Lily's on the 14th it is now an entire week later & not one of them show a sign of dying off anytime soon. Very disappointed in this florist. Chose them because of positive comments here and web site showed beautiful arrangements. Well the flowers they sent my elderly mother looked like grocery-store bought flowers thrown into clear vase (not even the right size for the flowers) and no adornment added...no ribbon, no bow. It took an entire day of phone calls back/forth with these folks AND they called my mother to ask if she was dissatisfied...that shouldn't of happened. The purchaser of the gift of flowers was dissatisfied. After many phone calls they finally agreed to deliver a new arrangement which was lovely and representative of our first expectation. Will not recommend nor use this florist again. read more

I want to give Kelly Odom 5/5 because my wedding bouquet and flower crown were GORGEOUS. However, most of my pictures are missing these two items because my flowers were delivered OVER ONE HOUR late. All of my first look photos, all of my bridesmaids photos, no flower crown - literally the one item that completed my bridal look. My coordinator called twice, and on the second attempt was told that the flowers were "on the way" - which thank god, my wedding was less than 1 mile down the road. I never received an apology when they arrived. So now half of my photos have an incomplete look, and nothing can change that. It's unfortunate because they really were gorgeous - I just wish they had arrived at our agreed upon time. read more

I left this business with the terrible feeling that I had just narrowly avoided being swindled. Beware -- my experience was this: I visited the shop to talk about a wedding arrangement. The lady who greeted me gave me the distinct impression that she didn't think I had enough money to purchase a flower arrangement. She pointed to a wreath of dried hydrangeas on the walls and said haughtily, "That cost $700." Shocking, but I pressed on trying to explain what I was looking for. Thankfully, after a few minutes, a nice lady came out of the back room, who really helped me and seemed interested in my ideas. I spent about 20 minutes with the mean lady and nice lady all together. The mean lady took my order and we agreed that I'd come in a few days later to pay for the arrangement, which I did. All told I spent about 25 minutes with the staff of Kelly Odom Flowers. The night after I paid the bill, which was several weeks away from my wedding, my now-husband and I just didn't feel good about the purchase. We planned a very simple, outdoor wedding in Umstead State Park. We decided to cancel the floral order with Kelly Odom Flowers. The next day I went in and apologized for the trouble and told them we were going with a different look for our wedding and I needed to cancel the order. After quite a bit of runaround, I was told by the owner that I could cancel the order but they would charge me for a "two hour consultation fee" and a 3% or 5% convenience fee (can't remember the exact percentage). This two hour consultation fee they were demanding was for $150! I was appalled to the core. I said to the owner, "No one in this shop spent two hours on me or my order." The mean lady was across the room and actually shouted at me, in front of her boss and all the other workers there! She shouted across the room, "I just want to know what happened!" I was thoroughly shocked. In the end, the owner relented and did not charge me this "two hour consultation fee." I thought it was reasonably fair to pay the "convenience charge," which I did, but all in all it was the most unpleasant business transaction of my life and I will never visit this vicious florist again! read more

I went and met with Kelly to discuss flowers for my October wedding. I was initially a little nervous to go to the meeting because I had heard that his flowers were extremely pricey. I felt much more at ease after speaking with him for a few minutes- I was so impressed by how much he knew about my venue and how easily and quickly he was able to understand the look that I was going for. He really spent a lot of time discussing the details with my family and I and was very thorough about the amounts of bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, etc. that were needed. He also had some great suggestions about table linens and was very respectful of my budget (no guilt trips to spend more!). I really enjoyed meeting with him and can't wait to see what he actually does for the wedding. read more

Prior to her death, my mother had left instructions for her casket flowers be designed by Kelly Odom. At the time I did not know Kelly and Brian well. Then, in a meeting with the local "prestigious" funeral home, we were told that the funeral home had a "contract" with another florist and we had to use this particular florist. My family was devastated that we could not fulfill my mothers final wishes. Imagine our chagrin when we later found out this funeral director was lying to us. I relayed the story to one of my mothers dear friends who contacted Kelly and Brian and that night our friend delivered a beautiful centerpiece for the dining room table that Kelly had put together with no notice including many of my mothers favorite flowers. It was a wonderful memorial to my Mom as we received family and friends during that sad time. Again and again, Kelly Odom delivers top notch customer service, impeccable taste and amazing results. Since then, Kelly and Brian have become my friends and I am not biased when I say that there is a reason they are in demand in Raleigh...they are the best. Simple as that. read more
