Following her adjustment, she developed alarming symptoms and went to the ER, where she underwent bloodwork, a CT scan, and IV treatment. Multiple medical professionals advised her to discontinue chiropractic treatment immediately. Andrew Smyth made statements suggesting that his treatment had affected blood flow to her brain and implied that, if not corrected by him, the situation could require brain surgery. These comments were deeply distressing and raised serious concerns about the appropriateness of his communication. I first started going to Shilts Chiropractor at 24 years old after visiting 3 prior chiropractors that failed to diagnose and adequately treat my condition.
