What an odd experience…read more We went in on a Saturday afternoon after having lunch in the area, right before closing time. We aren't in Salem often but we had some money building up that needed depositing and didn't want to carry around anymore. The whole experience at the counter was strange from the get-go. I already feel weird ever dealing in cash to begin with but I felt like a downright criminal the way the teller was talking to us. And I say "us" as husband and wife, not pimp and prostitute. She didn't understand at first what account it was to go in and I reiterated which one since I knew she misheard my wife. That's when it got weird because apparently I shouldn't be talking for her, even though like three out of seven accounts with them are joint and I've had some open for almost two decades. I then asked a question about about a recent deposit that was made by the bank for using a debit card (which I didn't know at the time) and the teller couldn't answer us and shrugged it off. Luckily, a manager overheard and knew exactly what I was asking, so I thank her for that. At the end, we were rudely asked, "is that all you need?" like she was trying to push us out to close faster. When my account was compromised my card was shut down, now this is good but would have been better if they called me to let me know instead of hanging me out to dry. 3. From point 2, money was stolen from my account, I now live many miles from the bank and was told to get my money back i would have to appear in person, so basically they let someone steal my money and did nothing to replace it and keep me happy. 4. Their website for looking at accounts online is a joke. Its so damn secure that even i can barely get into it and get locked out at random times for no good reason.
