Prior to our meeting, I didn't realize that a mortgage broker is different than a bank that offers loans independently. Jeff and Goldcoast Mortgage work with six different banks in order to acquire the best rate. I found Jeff to be very comfortable to speak with, as he is friendly and down to earth. At the same time, he was very professional and had a lot to explain about the process (the percentage that needs to be put down initially, etc.) He explained how mortgages work and elaborated on the different types of mortgages (and why some people run into trouble with their mortgages). He also explained how he works in collaboration with a skilled real estate attorney to make sure my that my best interest is made a priority throughout the process. After our meeting, I called Goldcoast with a few more questions about the process and I was surprised that they knew me by name, and as they are a small group, were already familiar with my particular situation.
