Awful. Our mortgage papers were full of errors. Our contact (David Bolton) lied about the time…read moreframe he would accomplish the mortgage in. He often hit reply, rather than "reply all" making communication and keeping everyone in the loop difficult, and adding delays. Delayed our tight deadline by starting to drafting a 7 year ARM for us (that we never asked for. We wanted a 30 year). Often would take days to respond. "Overnighted" us packages that took four days to get there. Lied about what time he got documents. Cost us an 1/8th of a percentage point because of delays and speed bumps in communications, and nearly cost us our deposit because of dishonestly relating the time frame he needed to get things together. Was generally a stressful situation. Would not use again. Got locked into using them by our real estate agent (another story of its own). Would not deal with again. Definitely can't speak highly enough of Ryan Wallis. Being a first time home buyer I did not know…read morethe first thing about a mortgage or what I could truly afford per month. From beginning to end (even going as far as showing up for our loan closing) Ryan was a true professional. I have a great rate and am living in my dream house. Thank you to Ryan and the entire Mortgage Master team!

Tried calling and 4 times on hold over an hour to talk to someone. They put you on hold and call drops. What kind of scam is being pulled here. If you don't want to pay home insurance I'll pay it and Cg rage me less for monthly mortgage w escrow. Don't use this mortgage company!

I have never written a review in my life, but Cross Country has created a such a huge breach of…read moresecurity, i need to warn people. I divorced my ex and we sold our (jointly owned) house in May '21. Cross Country arbitrarily listed my ex's name first on all correspondence, so when we divorced, it would hit his "change of address" with the post office first. Once CC receive this change of address notification, instead of contacting both parties, CC changed the address to that person's address and only that persons address. Because they just changed it instead of contacting both parties to get approval, I have spent the better part of 9 months trying to get information and an escrow refund that belongs to me. Every time I call in to get info, they send a follow up notification letter to my ex. Because his is the only address they will log. My ex has taken all refunds and all paperwork. A situation that is leading us into an expensive court battle that Cross Country could have prevented. Now that they know the problem, you would think they would resolve it by adding my address to the account also. No!! They tell me they cannot change without my ex's approval. He is refusing (shocker) and he has confiscated my escrow refund. This is not only discriminatory, it could be dangerous for those who have to contact an abusive ex spouse. A firm that cannot log 2 different addresses for co- mortgage loans, clearly shouldn't be handling people's financial info or funds of this size. Especially when / if they may divorce. You can expect your ex to receive your private information and they will do nothing to resolve it except say that is the policy. 9 months later I am in an expensive court trial because Cross Country Mortgage chose to pick one person to communicate instead of both the people on the loan. As I said, the home was purchased with only my money. But they only have room for one address despite the fact that the divorce rate is 50%! And who gets that coveted position of receiving all information and funds...is chosen by Cross Country. What an unbelievable breach of security. If i could have given 0 stars - I would. Go elsewhere.

I've begun to think about my future and the prospect of buying a home. As I will be a first-time…read morehome buyer, I had a ton of questions about the process and was eager to sit down with someone knowledgable in the field of purchasing a home. I was given Jeff Rolke's name through a friend who had used him in the past with great success. Prior to our meeting, I didn't realize that a mortgage broker is different than a bank that offers loans independently. Jeff and Goldcoast Mortgage work with six different banks in order to acquire the best rate. I found Jeff to be very comfortable to speak with, as he is friendly and down to earth. At the same time, he was very professional and had a lot to explain about the process (the percentage that needs to be put down initially, etc.) He explained how mortgages work and elaborated on the different types of mortgages (and why some people run into trouble with their mortgages). He also explained how he works in collaboration with a skilled real estate attorney to make sure my that my best interest is made a priority throughout the process. After our meeting, I called Goldcoast with a few more questions about the process and I was surprised that they knew me by name, and as they are a small group, were already familiar with my particular situation. I know my dream home is one day going to be a reality and look forward to Goldcoast Mortgage being a part of that process!

I was so impressed with the work of John and his team that I refinanced with them several years later when there was a sizable drop in interest rates.
