The practitioners here are wonderful! Very affordable since treatment is done in a "common" area. Love!

Dr. Lomonaco is truly fantastic - he got me back running pain-free after an injury had sidelined me for a couple months. My wife has been seeing Dr. Lomonaco for a long time and is the reason I decided to give him a try. She has never had anything but positive things to say about her experience with him. I also received a call the very next day from the medical assistant to check in on how I was doing post-procedure. I thought this was a thoughtful touch that really stood out. I don't recall receiving this level of personalized, attentive customer service at other practices l've visited in the past. It's the little things like this follow-up call that add up and are always greatly appreciated. Overall, I would wholeheartedly recommend Interventional Pain Associates of MA to anyone seeking relief from pain. Dr. Lomonaco's expertise, the friendly and caring staff, and the commitment to patient satisfaction is unmatched in my experience. I'm grateful to be back on my feet running pain free thanks to the excellent care l received at IPA of MA. -MpD

I can not even describe how happy I am with results of the surgery. Like any reasonable individual I have some "not so good days" as chronic lower back pain is no fun. I've lived with pain over 4 years and then decided on a surgery. I regret only one thing - I did not do it sooner. I had 5 epidural injections prior to the surgery (different doctor) and when they were wearing out I was back to my everyday pain. After the surgery my condition drastically improved. Dear Dr. Doorly - thank you from the bottom of my heart! You gave me my life back! Read more: http://www.vitals.com/doctor/profile/1346296258/reviews/1346296258#ixzz1ZjZ66YnX

My original surgeon suggested therapy with narcotics and nerve medications, which left my hands shaking and made no impact on my pain. I was unable to sit for more than 5 minutes at a time due to the constant nerve pain down my left leg and buttocks. I was not able to participate in activities with my child due to pain and exhaustion. I could work, come home and lie down. This was not living. Enter Dr. Doorly. He held my hand as I cried in frustration that I needed help. He listened. He was honest and human. His bedside manor is second to none. He said he could not take all of my pain away given my situation, but that he could relieve it by approximately 75%. I had spinal fusion, laminectomy, discectomy and bone grafts with Dr. Doorly May 1, 2014. Within two weeks I was feeling relief, was able to return to work after 6 weeks post op and have been nearly 90% pain free since. I no longer rely on medication for pain relief, and in rare instances, I take an over the counter pain reliever. I am thrilled with my results and progress and I owe it all to Dr. Doorly for taking the time to listen and act on my situation to get me back in a routine again. Thank you Dr. Doorly. You saved me from pain, despair and frustration in a situation where I was hitting all dead ends. You are truly a rare find, a great sense of humor and a master at your craft.

I was treated like a dog, and lesser than the staff- especially by the security guard Lucas (Fabio). They did not even allow me to call my federal agent I spent 5 days being lied to and neglected without sunlight. Mentioned security guard was anything but trauma informed and should not be working in that unit let alone that hospital. I came in for safety and left more suicidal that I came in with. People started calling missing persons reports on me until the Deputy of Beverly PD & Beth Israel's PD came to make sure I was still alive as they wouldn't let me call my agents. How I was treated was inhumane and I left with a boxer fracture. Even the representative from Beth Israel told me "if you ever need to go to the hospital go to Salem". *mic drop*

There were no ED rooms or even hall beds, so my mom got her vitals taken, an IV put in to draw blood, and then sent back to the waiting room for the duration. Same deal with all the other patients. The big TV was on the Discovery Channel equivalent of COPS the entire time so the room was stuck with a 50 inch TV with a bunch of aggressive cops and prison guards yelling at people and chasing down and tackling people on body cam footage - not exactly soothing or good for a room of people who essentially couldn't leave. The ED tech did her absolute best to manage expectations, but we never saw a doctor. We saw a PA 2am who basically agreed that the instructions we got from the on-call neurologist six hours earlier were .... fine. If we wanted to wait and get a CT scan, it would be easily another 4 hours. So we gave up and went home, untreated. Their Press Gainey score in the email request for review the hospital sent was conveniently worded so that there was no way to say "wanted to be seen by a doctor and never saw one."
