Over time, however, it felt like the management style, particularly at the ownership level, shifted. Communication became inconsistent, and situations that once would have been handled directly and professionally were not. This was not reflective of the front desk team. Many of the therapists I connected with moved on. My most recent experience simply was not the right fit. I did not feel fully heard, and the session felt more rushed than mindful. After the session, there was no follow up or check in at all, which has never happened in any of my previous experiences here. I was tired of bouncing around, so I gave it time to see if things might improve. In the end, she agreed it was not the right fit. What was most disappointing was how it was handled. It took several calls, emails, and texts from me to learn that my sessions had been canceled less than 24 hours before my next appointment. The front desk told me the owner was supposed to call me about the cancellations and to suggest an alternative therapist, but that call never happened, and there was no follow up afterward. There was also a brief moment that stood out. I had left more than 20 percent, though less than the week before because the experience felt different. When I shared that, it was suggested that the front desk might not have passed the full amount along. That surprised me, as the front desk team has always been consistently kind, professional, and trustworthy. I want to be clear that the front desk staff are excellent. They make scheduling seamless, communicate thoughtfully, and create a welcoming environment every time you walk in. I am writing this because I cared about this place. I used to genuinely look forward to coming here. Moving on feels like losing something familiar, almost like losing a friend. I would still welcome a one on one conversation with the owner, as I would have appreciated that before. I hope the practice finds its way back to what once made it so special.

She just has such a loving presence. We had a great chat at the beginning, a hands-on Reiki session and a nice debriefing at the end. She did not pressure me at all to come back, but assured me that we could do more work if I was up for it. I highly recommend her to anyone. Interested in having energy work done. This was a great first experience with a Reiki.

So, I'm a Skeptic…read more Just that kinda person. I generally don't like medicine that I can't trace back to anatomical reality (I get exasperated talking about Chi and other untestable, unmeasurable concepts). So I obviously didn't go to Acupuncture to get my chakrahs back into balance or anything like that. I have a pretty nasty back injury that gave me a fair amount of pain and tough ciatica (look it up). I've been doing PT, and I've been healing quite nicely (I'm not going ton a "Western Medicine is Useless!" rant today), but I'm not a very patient person. I wanted to see if I could do some pain management beyond medication, for obvious reasons. I went to see Lisa because my mother's friends (who are much more... spiritually oriented) have given me sufficient anecdotes that I decided I'd give it a try. Anyway, disclaimer aside. I enjoyed the visit. Lisa is a grounded, rational person that actually talks about medicine and the body. There's a little bit of "energy flow" stuff going on that I managed to not get frustrated about--in short, at the end of the conversation I was pretty convinced she knew what she was talking about. Then with the needles. Afterwards, I felt significant improvement. I have a lot more relaxation in my back and leg, the ciatica's gone down. I'm walking around without a cane, which is a fair improvement. I'm quite pleased with the treatment. Over the next few days, I'll be updating as to my progress. I'd recommend Lisa for an alternative approach to pain management stress, musculoskeletal or nervous problems, definitely. I will continue to hold out on the mystical cancer-healing powers of heat lamps and small needles until I've seen better science on the topic.

Love me some Ruth Knill!…read more I started going to Ruth about 1 year ago for significant pain (mostly in knees and elbows) due to arthritis. Previously, the course of action for dealing with the pain and swelling had been to take a prescription NSAID for an extended period of time (2-3 months) and/or a steroid. I refused to go back to that which is why I turned to acupuncture. I knew from the initial consultation that this was going to be a good thing, and I am pleased to report that I am essentially pain-free! (Knock on wood). Not only does acupuncture work, but I seriously think I would pay Ruth just to hang out with her. She genuinely cars about her patients and I always enjoy chatting with her. She is so warm and nurturing. I feel like her personality alone is healing. Just being in her presence is therapeutic. And, oh by the way, she is really funny. Cracks me up. Even though I've finished my treatment course with Ruth I am definitely going to return for "maintenance." I should note, I am a HUGE pansy and was absolutely terrified of the needles. If you told me 2 years that I would be going to acupuncture and actually enjoy it I would have thought you were crazy. I'm still a little tweaked out by the whole idea but Ruth really made me feel at ease. Give her a try!

He educated me on how acupuncture and lifestyle adjustments can help but also urged me to work with a doctor since that may be part of the struggle. I worked with Jose and my fertility doctor - visiting Jose twice a week and my husband was also taking herbs as suggested by Jose. I enjoyed Jose and the sessions were enjoyable as well as relaxing. Jose always talked through any recent test results from my doctor as well as where I was in my cycle and how that impacted the treatment he was giving me. I went to Jose through my IVF cycle up until a few weeks after transfer and I am happily holding my 5 week old beautiful little girl right now. Thank you Jose for being a trusted and caring partner during a very emotional and stressful time in my life.

I called Jose and told him how miserable I was, and he fit me in that day. He gave me herbs which I took daily for about 4-5 weeks, and did double-sided acupuncture treatments two times per week to start. After just two doses of herbs I noticed an improvement, and with continued acupuncture, I had great relief from my symptoms. The stress and anxiety just disappeared, and the GI symptoms improved so much that I was able to work regularly and go out with friends again. I now see Jose once every two weeks for maintenance. Jose is patient, kind, and empathetic. He will spend a lot of time with you if you need it. I highly recommend his practice!
