He is efficient, fast and has a great personality. I just went again to see him for an ingrown toenail. I was terrified...but in literally 15 minutes - I was walking out of there as if nothing happened. I took off the bandage 24 hours later and it looks as if nothing happened to my toe. Stephanie is also wonderful as well as the ladies at the front desk. I honestly would not go anywhere else and recommend him every chance I get to my friends and family.

As I see the only negative reviews have to do with the billing practices at another location not this one, I am assured that my opinion of Dr. Patel will be spot on. I am diabetic and suffer from neuropathy. Add to this that I took a nasty fall down some stairs and injured my ankle. The pain was too much so I looked up podiatrists in the area and found Dr. Patel. He not only addressed my injured ankle but suggested many new option towards treating not only my neuropathy but my diabetes as well. His bedside manner is excellent and he really cares about his patients. I see others before and after my visits and they are always in good cheer, which truly speaks highly of a doctor. I am not pain free, but Dr. Patel has so far gotten me to a point where it is indeed manageable. I can now sleep at night. That itself has made my life 10 times better. A good Doctor, and a good person as well.

The assistant who helped me at the front desk was also kind and considerate! Booking an appointment was easy. Once I arrived, there was little to no wait time. The waiting room and exam room were both clean, quiet, and comfortable. The elevator can take some time because this is a high-rise building. As a result, I just took the stairs when leaving the office since she is only on the 3rd floor. Parking was at first intimidating; however, I learned that off-side parking on 82nd Ave (one block away) is on Thursday and on Friday mornings, I believe (double check when you arrive, just to be sure). Metered parking starts at 9am. So, if you book your appointment in the morning on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, and you arrive between 8:20am - 8:45am, you are likely to find parking there. Because the doctor is efficient, and there was no wait time, I was in and out without paying more than a dollar for parking! This may not be the case for you depending upon your needs and the actual time of your appointment, but I hope this info is helpful. The office is right off of Queens Blvd, so the train station and bus stop are also right nearby! I even had a prescription filled .... the front desk staff called it in within minutes, and my prescription was ready by the time I reached the pharmacy. I read reviews about this doctor/practice and decided to try so made an appointment. The doctor was very informative and took X-rays of feet which showed right away that orthotics are needed. She explained and gave instructions on exercises can do in the meantime until orthotics come in. Not a big office but very convenient and saw us very timely after filling out forms.

A few months ago, I had a severe and unexpected emergency with my foot that came out of nowhere. Dr. Shapiro and his incredible staff did everything they could, with very little notice, to schedule me, help treat me, and follow up with me. In particular, Dr. Shapiro went to great lengths to ensure I was taken care of and that I found the right treatment. I was incredibly worried and anxious throughout this time, but he and his colleagues helped to keep me calm and make the situation bearable.
