Stay far, far away from Ohana Construction and Kai Weiner. They took money for incomplete work and will not return it - we are owed nearly $5,000. We have called hundreds of times, emailed, texted to no avail. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. After months of trying to get our $4,715 deposit back for incomplete work, I feel like it is necessary to share our experience and warn others so they don't end up in the same boat as us. We were dumb so hopefully you don't have to be. We hired Kai and his crew to do a variety of projects, including staining and screening in our back deck, digging french drains, installing gutter guards, leveling our concrete pad where our air conditioners sit, adding a concrete pad at the bottom of our deck, and putting in a fence. We were asked to pay a deposit for the work, and in good faith, we did so. The work that was completed was adequate and we were happy with it for what we paid. Our porch was screened in, french drains were dug, our gutter guards were installed, and our deck was stained. HOWEVER. The "forms" that were put out for our concrete pad were an absolute mess (pictured with the review). We ended up expressing our desire to go a different direction for the concrete pad, hired a legitimate concrete crew, and asked that the portion of our deposit set for the concrete work be applied to the balance due for our fence. Kai agreed. Kai's crew began digging for our fence. We live in Bella Vista, land of required permits (IYKYK). We thought it was odd that we hadn't heard anything regarding the permits, especially since our fence was crossing property lines (we own and are fencing in two lots). When we saw that the crew was beginning work on the fence, we followed up with the city on permits and found out that the process was never started. This was a huge red flag for us, so we decided to go a different direction on the fence and let Kai know. He agreed to return our $4,715 overpayment to us. This was in June of 2026. I am writing this review on August 31, 2026 and we still have not been paid. We have called, emailed, and texted. Most recently we FINALLY got an answer via email, were told that we would be delivered a check on Saturday, August 29th and he never showed. Because of this, I am finally sitting down to share my experience. Bottom line - stay away. There are plenty of legitimate, wonderful contractors in NWA - this isn't one of them.

Communication was awful. No updates unless I chased them, and then it was vague excuses or blame-shifting to the city and subcontractors. Andrew, my company contact, contact Was nonexistent or inconsistent. When emails went to his brother owner of the company ? (due to nearly identical addresses), the responses were rude and unprofessional. I paid over $20,000 and still have not received a final itemized statement. Work quality is just as bad--poor roof support, ongoing leaks, and issues they tried to dismiss as "pre-existing" after covering them up with new siding and Sheetrock. I assure you, there were no leaks previous to this minor fire. This has been a costly, frustrating mess. Avoid this company.

While our Insurance company allowed to select anyone in the area to assist us with the new flooring and details, they did recommend NWA Restoration as an option. We took them up on the offer. Because of the complexity and coordination with the flooring company, we chose to work with both because of their previous partnerships. While they were at it, we asked them for a few extras like painting our bedrooms, installing new the faucet and instant on hot water tap, and painting and cabinet work for the effected kitchen island. There were some challenges along the way. You should expect some. The good news is that Aaron was extremely responsive and attentive to each concern. He starts his mornings earlier, and responds quickly. They completed their work on time, the rooms look great, and the updated kitchen island is outstanding.
