Great staff. I've seen Dr Lewis & Dr Schmitz both,. Went in for ingrown toenail, then broke a foot, they saw me for both.

I'm so happy I found this place. I've suffered from chronic foot pain for years. I love that Dr. Lewis approaches the most conservative treatments first. He really listens to me and gives me all the options available for my treatment. I know it's been a long road to complete recovery but I feel so much better since I started coming. He's also interested in your overall well-being. He gave me a referral for another provider for another condition I have and made sure to follow up with me to see how that was helping. I recommend this place and Dr. Lewis to everyone I know. The staff are super friendly and caring. Staff reasonably nice, diverse. Office clean. That's about all that's good about this place. I came to get second opinions about known foot and ankle issue - Neuropathy. Was never asked any questions about actual condition. I was barely able to walk and had no balance. No one asked about this. After scraping the top off my heel spur, the "Doctor" jumped right into selling me expensive gimmick that turned out to be just an arch support, along with non-approved meds, neither of which were covered by Medicare, and none of which dealt with the original issue. Once back at the front desk, there were charges that Medicare would not cover, so to get out of their office with the stuff they wanted me to have, I had to fork over another hundred plus dollars. I was scheduled to come back in 30 days. I don't live in Irving and opted out of the return visit immediately on getting home. The medicine they promoted said it takes 30 to 60 days to even start working. It did no good whatsoever, taken as directed. The "orthotic" they sold me was not for a heel spur, but was a minimal arch support, an el-cheapo sold for a high price. A couple of weeks later I started to get bills from them, saying my insurance and Medicare would not pay for some of the services. These cards were run successfully in their office and I had paid the difference in cash while there. They eventually called and said my deductible had not been paid. Total BS. So I called Medicare about it and they verified that my deductible was covered and this company needed to call them if they have problems. A few days later another bill showed up. I sent it back telling them to contact Medicare as instructed. There were several automated phone calls that were evidently designed to be difficult to understand. Bottom line - What they did had no effect on the actual issue - Neuropathy. The "medicine" sold was un-proven and not accepted by any medical association. Another resource looked at the stuff they sold me and pronounced it junk, gimmicks, BS - Snake Oil. What they are is a store. Its evident they are in business for the money first, helping patients second, if at all. One star is too many! read more

Hate, leaving bad reviews. But this office deserves it! The staff is not friendly, and the Doctor isn't either. No one was empathetic about my condition. The Doctor didnot inform me of how extensive my injury was. She prescribed me pain meds and kicked me out of the office. Seemed to me they were more focused on sales then treatment. Not to mention the office wasn't very diversely. I felt uncomfortable most of the visit. Anyways I saw a great Podiatrist at Precision Orthopedics 2120 N. MacArthur Blvd, Suite 100 , Irving, 75061. All the staff are money minded. I had a small boiler under my foot, I could have wiped it off with any scissor. But I don't want take any chance of disturbing it. So I went to there for two sittings and they have done nothing than applying some ointment to it. I had insurance, they did not let me know that my insurance does not work for this treatment. They told after the second sitting. At last I've paid around 400 bucks from my pocket. And they still expect me to come again after 2weeks. I just smiled at their face and left from there. They are very money minded. It does not matter how small is your problem. You will end up paying for nothing cause they want you to come over until your problem is solved naturally. Fraudulent company. This first step to determine its falsehood is seeing the discrepancy in its ratings between yelp and Google. Google boast 4.5/5 while yelp shows 2.5/5. These people are crooks and fabricate great reviews to reel newcomers and screw them. They will bill you extra on your service and sell your debt to bill collectors. AVOID AT ALL COST. read more

I had an overall good experience with this practice. Dr. Lewis, Robin, and the rest of the staff provided quick and professional service. They were friendly and helped with all of my medical needs. I also think it is cool that they emphasize and encourage natural, drug free, treatments. Will definitely return to this doctor if needed. read more

This place is all about the money. My daughter had 2 ingrown toenails removed. Came in for a follow up, they said it looked good. Charged me for that. Weeks later we're back because one is not healing right. New Dr. goes in and removes particles that were left behind during the first procedure. Yep, got charged for that. I should have never been charged for it! So they make a practice of rescheduling you after procedures for follow ups and then charge you for it instead of it being part of your initial procedure. They say it's law that they have to outside a 10 day window so they make sure they schedule you outside the 10 day windows to charge you again. Will never go back to this place again! read more

I would not go here nor would I recommend anyone to go here. They take advantage of everyone's insurance and will bill to the max. Another thing they do is sell their own products and tell the patient they have to purchase it or do without. Bullcra!!!! They will put a small amount of cream in a syringe, along with very small roll of gauze and (4) 1"x1" of precut gauze for $39 or more. This place is dirty to filthy. Chairs, tables and lamps have blood, toenails, and so on where no one cleans or sanitizes. Oh yeah-I will upload all of the pictures I have because once they see this they will or probably will clean up and blame someone. They half as cut toenails out and give the patient a follow up and then recharge them for getting back to finish what should of been done on initial visit. The lady at the desk is snobby, rude, and very unprofessional. (Probably one of the partners or owners?) There billing is really screwed up. This has been reported and soon they will be accountable for this. How awful and so unethical with no conscious of what they do and overcharge. Yes-I said that and I back it up! Called in to make an appointment as i have bad foot pain. The staff placed me on hold for 10 minutes and came back asking for my number. They told me they had to call me back but didn't give me a reason. . . Sorry for making you work. This disgusts me when you have people in the medical field choosing when they want to help people. If you don't like doing this, go somewhere else. I'm in pain and i guess I've inconvenienced them. read more

It really pisses me off when a doctor's office cares more about the money than a patients well being. North Texas Foot & Ankle should be ashamed of themselves charging me for custom orthotics that I NEVER received. FIRST APPOINTMENT EXPERIENCE: As a new patient you have to sign documents stating if you receive a 30, 60, 90 day late notice you have to pay an additional $25 late fee. The lady that took my X-rays was unfriendly. When checking out I was told I had to pay in office. Which was fine, I wanted an itemized receipt they couldn't provide it. I instead left with a copy of the notes as my receipt. During the visit I purchased orthotics. They tried to update me hard to get the sweat proof, energized orthotics, I opted out. They said they would give me a cream for my scars from Doctors Specialty Pharmacy, I ended up getting three different creams and patches (each cream was over $1000 my insurance covered most the cost) WAITING FOR CUSTOM ORTHOTICS: I ordered customized orthotics during my first appointment on 4/7/2016, they came in 5/2016 ( found out they came in after about three calls checking on the status) of course they didn't fit, (the employee was a little irritating because he questioned I didn't know my shoe size. I informed him I wear a 9, yes the sneakers I had on were a 7, because they were in men's. He then measured my feet, as if I didn't know my size. Then he said the orthotics were ordered in men's sizes and he could cut them but it would look unprofessional) of course I did not agree to that. Dr. Holcomb called me and informed me that the cut would not look bad. I followed up with a different doctor who advised me not cut them and instead have them shipped back to the supplier and get them cut professionally. A day later I called, they had me on hold for 10 minutes , I called back they had me on hold again. I understand that they are very busy but the lack of professionalism at a specialized, expensive doctors office was ridiculous. I cancelled my order due to poor customer experience (or so I thought it was cancelled) They confirmed it was cancelled. I thought I was done and never had to deal with them again. BILLING ISSUES: Three months later I receive a bill for the custom orthotics which includes a late fee. I informed my insurance company that I did not receive them. Paige, the office manager told my insurance company that the orthotics are still getting made. I called Paige and informed her that this order was cancelled months ago. She was rude to me and my mother and said "you have to pay the order it is in process". REALLY LADY! after three months I've found a new podiatrist (Southwest Podiatry Associates) , who is awesome and he's already given me orthotics. I would have kept the custom orthotics from North Texas Foot & Ankle but my hard earned money refuses horrible customer experience. How can I pay for a product I never received and ordered almost four months ago? I am waiting to hear back from The Dr. Paige stated that she is out of the country for the remainder of the week. I made an appointment last year, I have gone to this doctor one time. I moved last year and did a change of address. The doctors office sent statements, that I never received and charged me 12.00 for each time they sent the email. The office sent me an email today and I called and paid my bill. I asked about this and the manager said they charge 12.00 for no reply. But it's funny they sent an email this morning and I replied. I called them and paid my balance. I also checked my email to see if I ever received an email from this office regarding my balance. I am going to copy this review on every social media. I don't want people to be charged for not responding in case they moved. read more

I will never go back to this office after my visit today. I saw Dr. Todd Lewis for the first time today and I felt like he was trying to sell me a huge load of rather expensive bull$hit. He is a really fast talker, and I mean that literally. He talked SO much without saying much of anything. Every time I asked a question I got 10 lines of bull that made no sense. It was like he was trying to talk his way around telling me that he was going to rip me of. He tried to sell me a boot that goes up to the knee, for 230.00. I have a bump on the back of my heel, not a broken leg. I quickly declined that mess. I never even got the price of the orthopedic wedge he wanted me to put in my shoe, since the problem I have means I can't wear shoes that are closed in the back, so there would be no way of holding said wedge in place. Finally there was something they called a Uni-boot. It cost me 60.00, besides my copay and the cost of xrays, and all it is is gauze covered in some kind of zinc cream, wrapped around my foot and covered with an ace bandage, that's it. For 60.00 bucks. Now of course he's the doctor and things might have gone ok if not for the fact that he mentioned there was a procedure that could be done in his office, not quite surgery, but an injection to help get rid of the calcification on my back heel. However, that would only be considered after the over priced foot wrap, expensive as hell boot, shoe wedge and several visits to see him. (He literally said, oh we'll see you several times) Another thing he mentioned was a type of treatment that would require me to come in once a week for 12 weeks, at the minimum cost of at least my copay, who knows how much more, but a minimum of 480.00 just in copays, where some product would be applied to my foot each visit. The great news (not) was that he had all of those plans lined up BEFORE we would consider just treating my foot with the injections and solving the problem. He did prescribe a round of steroids, but he literally did NOTHING today that my PCP couldn't have done, and without trying to bleed me dry. This provider, his office and their practices are what's wrong with healthcare today. When I went in there all he saw was $$$, instead of a person in need who has come to see a provider for help. I'm sure that I'll need to follow up with someone about my foot, but it won't be this guy, that I can assure you. read more

I give them 2 stars because they are very nice. My issues lie in that administratively, trying to schedule or cancel an appointment is a challenges and you are always delayed in the office. The nurse and medical device staff constantly complain on how they are over booked and understaffed. I always had to wait at least 30 minutes to see a Doctor. I think the surgery went okay but it's too soon to tell and interestingly enough, my doctor that performed the surgery left the practice... I leave this review to share how I "feel" and I have to say that I am somewhat irritated despite their demeanor. I would get fired for what I do if I treated my clients this way. read more
