Some of my questions regarding the surgery process and potential side effects were answered with what seemed like a "why do you need to know that?" attitude. At the end of the appointment, it seemed like he assumed I'd automatically have him as my surgeon - I mean, of course I would, right? Methinks not. I felt his bedside manner could use some serious work. If you visit with this doctor, I'd make note of how often you have to initiate the information-gathering questions, as it felt like pulling teeth to me. Nothing truly informative seemed freely offered. The impression I left with was Dr. Satyan seemed unsympathetic about my medical situation, and I felt like just another boat payment for his clinic.

I'm by no means a drug seeker, but have been on a drug that has worked with me for the past decade. Dr. Rai was very professional and honest about his inability to help me switch from my current pain managment provider and have him continue my medication. He did make sure that my co-pay was refunded before I left the office. While, he could not help me, I do have respect for him since he was straightforward and honest. I do wish they would be more upfront about their practice's inability to prescribe controlled pain medication so that others know ahead of time.

It took days of repeated calls, messages, emails, before I was ever able to get through. However they were able to make an appointment within a few days. For the consultation, the doctor seemed very confident that he knew what the problem was and suggested doing an injection. Did not discuss any other possible treatments (i.e. medication), just insisted the next step was to come back for an injection. I went for the injection and it went fine. I had more pain for the next 7 days than I did before coming in, and after that I felt no pain relief at all. I came in for my scheduled follow-up appointment and was exactly on time. I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes and then came out to remind them that I was waiting and that it was 30 minutes past my appointment time. The person there said something like "oh you're probably next". I told them I had another appointment after this and could not just wait around indefinitely. I waited another 10 minutes and still no doctor showed up. I decided that I could not stay any longer as they were well past the appointment time. I asked if we can reschedule for a less busy time. They said the next available appointment is 30 days out! I asked if they think it's right that the doctor did not show for my appointment and now I have to wait 30 days for another chance? The scheduler told me that even if I come in after 30 days, the doctor may still be not on-time that day and that I have to just sit there and wait. At this point I decided to just leave and go someplace else. Their treatment was not effective at all, their office staff is impossible to get a hold of since they don't answer the phone or return messages, and if they can't keep their appointments then it's really a deal-breaker for me. Dr. Jodi was very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. She took the time to explain my injury, answered my questions, and made me feel confident in my treatment plan. He has also seen me for both shoulders! He is very kind, informative and cares about his patients. So far, I have been able to get in to see him or his PA, Julianne when I have needed to. They also have accommodated me for a cortisone injection without having to suffer another day. They make their patients feel special. It is great to know you can call on them especially when it is more than just a normal appointment. Julianne has always answered my questions and follows up! She also gives the best injections. They never hurt and she actually gives the numbing spray time to work! The front staff helps to navigate the patients and get them in and processed as soon as possible. I was armed with not one, but two MRIs from other doctors, ready to hear the dreaded "Let's schedule surgery" speech. Instead, I met with a genuine, down to earth, personable doctor that actually listened to all my complaints and I mean all of them lol. Not just "my back hurts," but also my entire medical history. Dr. Desaloms already has my MRIs up on a giant screen ready to review my issues. This office clearly invests in top-notch technology, and it shows. Love his PA Stephanie (extra bonus points for having her in his back pocket!). He's not the kind of neurosurgeon who pushes surgery just because he can. I may need it someday, but right now he's focused on what's best for me. That kind of organic, patient-first approach is rare. He called me a anomaly during our telehealth appt, made me feel hopeless, almost 3 yrs now in 24/7 moderate to severe pain and have not been able to work as an RN and i'm actually signing up for VAD in Switzerland, that's how bad this has ruined my life, so be careful... i got a standing mri out of desperation. He didn't care to read it, a secretary said he wasn't obligated to read the mri since he didn't order it and dropped me as a patient after expressing how awful everything was going for me in my life due to this. 15 mo post op c5c6 fusion.... one simple layer... i'll never understand, but i am willing to pay 10k to d13 w VAD because of the debilitating pain i have been suffering in since 35 yo til now 38 yo.... almost graduated NP school, and couldn't, just 3 semesters away.... life i worked so hard for, completely ruined. I checked in and as I was starting to fill out paperwork, I was called back. I was barely able to finish my paperwork when a tech collected me for x-rays. I waited less than 5 min to see Dr McNutt which I'm sure that was only due to him waiting to review my x-rays. He politely introduced himself and quickly examined my arms' mobility. Immediately he determined the source of my injury, gave me a shot of some sort to relax the inflamation. He prescribed physical therapy and sent me on my way. It was an amazingly fast visit and a huge relief that he diagnosed my issue as I was suffering for months just hoping it was basic soreness that would go away.

Not a place for sick people! PA-Cs run the place and don't know what they are doing. I've had to…read moreconstantly question protocol and it's changed, and they absolutely have NO CLUE about caring for elderly people. They throw an untenable heavy walking boot at her and tell her not to come back for 6 weeks, and I can't even manage the boot myself. They won't give MRIs, and then get angry and push back when requesting one, but don't know what they are diagnosing, can't properly put the fut in plantarflexion instead of dorsiflexion for Achilles tear, and they can't be bothered to do what's right. The worst of all is the black receptionist that takes reservations for existing patients. I've called the practice manager 5 hrs ago and waiting for a call. The only shining light here is Dr. Reitman, great doctor, but he has no time to see his patients, even when we are promised he will drop by. We won't be coming back and can't recommend this place! Go ANYWHERE ELSE! The black doctor that was on call last Saturday is dangerous, reprimanding me for requesting MRI for unknown Achilles injury, they have her at 90 degree boot, no image other than x-Ray on a 98 yr old with no calcium, osteoporosis and then took letrozole for a year, and they full her ankle and throw a boot at her and send her home. He argues that he would do surgery if it were ruptured, as I kept saying over and over, interrtupting him to say, "NOT ON A 98 YEAR OLD YOU DON'T!", and trying to tell me the care is not different for a tear vs. tendonitis. Then, got arrogant and said do what you want, if you want a heal lift, give her a heal life, if you want an MRI, I'll give you an MRI, no help at all, just compromised medical advice and bad attitude. These people aren't properly trained, they're arrogant, and dangerous!
