I wasn't going to post on here but now I will. Bad experience at this place yesterday. I reached out to the tattoo artist in private in hope of some closure and I'm in shock at the lack of respect this person has. I will include my message to her on this comment and it's pretty self explanatory. Literally read the message in a matter of minutes and still has said absolutely nothing. Mind you, any talks we've had over IG regarding a tattoo, it's taken her over 24 hrs to open the message and respond. I'll never go to her or this place again. " I'm sorry that we had to walk out but I just want to give you some insight as to how her and myself felt. I originally came in to do a cover up and you were so friendly. I really liked your work ethic and decided I wanted to come back. The second time I came back, I brought my sister in with me. She drove an hr and half away to come down and have this done. We were both put off by the fact that when we arrived for our appointment, you weren't even there. The building was completely empty and we waited 40 mins to be put in your chair solely for the purpose that you weren't there when our appointment was scheduled. We put that behind us, got the tattoo, and was happy. I continue to want to come back and bring people with me. I made this appointment today for 4pm. You had someone in your chair till 4:07 which is understandable, crap happens. You came out and your attitude was off putting. You didn't even let us finish what we were saying before you walked away. We sat there for 37 minutes in silence while people walked in and out of your room chit chatting. I'm sorry but it doesn't take 37 min to draw an infinity sign with words and some lines and dots added. It would've been completely different if you let us know "hey I gotta do x y and z... last client left a little late, I'm sorry please give me some time." Your lack of communication and attitude towards a repeat customer was very inconsiderate. We left and went some where else. It's been 35 minutes and he's already working on her tattoo. I decided to tell you personally instead of a review on google because I wont ruin your new business but please consider these things for future new clients." I came in about a year ago for a navel piercing. I don't remember if the girl had gloves on but she did the piercing and it was crooked. It was so excruciating and I have a super high pain tolerance. It ended up getting infected and I took it out. Fast forward a year later I'm getting it re-pierced at a different shop and they told me my past piercing was way too deep. They said she pierced my stomach. I'm so glad I got it fixed because the first job was absolutely horrible. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

Me and my friends went in for $10 piercing Thursday's last week. The guy who did our piercings seemed very rushed and didn't take the time to explain anything he was doing or show that he was taking all the measures possible to be sanitary. He pierced my friend's cartilage with a hoop, my other friend's lobes with a hoop, and use a very large rod (maybe a belly piercing) for mine. He also used 14 mm gauge jewelry instead of the usual smaller jewelry that is used for new piercings, which prolongs the healing time. We were not given the option to choose our jewlery either. Two days later my friend woke up to his lobe piercing bleeding profusely and we are going to get it checked at another piercing place today. read more

Super unprofessional. My friend and I had appointments for a small tattoo each and we even arrived a little earlier. Our artist was finishing with the client before us so a small wait is completely understandable. what is not understandable or professional is for you to finish with that client and make your next one wait almost 40 minutes without even any attempt at customer service to simply enlarge a tattoo that she had already drawn previously. We ended up going to another shop around the corner who were able to draw the tattoo, set up and have one of our tattoos half way done in 40 minutes. Not to mention the entire staff there was super welcoming and friendly. Needless to say we won't be going there again and I recommend that if you are on a schedule don't try to book here. read more

The staff there is AMAZING!!! Got all my tattoos there and my nose piercing and I LOVE IT! They are super clean and super reasonable. And they make sure you take the necessary breaks and make sure you are okay. Each time I've gone it was a walk in and they always have taken good care of me while I'm there! Do not get pierced here! It's not worth it. Go somewhere where they care about you and pay the extra $$$. The piercer was rude and not Covid-safe. My friend and I were pretty nervous and he seemed annoyed by that rather than explaining the piercing to us or answering any questions. He did marked the piercing for us while we were sitting and did not give us a chance to check the placement beforehand. He used the WRONG JEWELRY for this particular piercing, which caused both of us excessive unnecessary pain. As soon as I got home I knew something was wrong so we went to a tattoo shop nearby and had their piercer check it out. He was horrified and changed our jewelry on the spot which immediately alleviated the majority of the pain. Overall this was a traumatic experience that caused me a lot of anxiety. read more

After I filled out the form, read the bodily injury warnings, verified my age, sat on a fluffy pleather couch, mocked the ugly anime tattoos on the wall and played Connect-Four on my phone, I was led into the back. The heavily pierced chick told me to pick a side, then drew on it with a Sharpie. Placement was verified, and after a horrifying six seconds, I was ready to go. The whole ordeal + jewelry= $10. Even. As in a ten dollar bill and no change. Letting my mom find out on Mother's Day because I couldn't avoid her any longer: Priceless. read more

I've gone here for one of my tattoos ( by Kristal ) and my nipple piercings, monroe, belly button, nose, and meduca piercings and AJ did an awesome job. With my tattoo, Kristal was amazing. The piece is beautiful and her attitude and hospitality was impressive. She has beautiful line work and shading. She was very friendly and talked to me the entire time about my interest and hobbies. Every time I've gone in to see AJ, he was been very nice and friendly. He makes you feel right at home and keeps your mind out of your nervousness and is very patient. He's done really good with all of my piercings and they've healed up perfectly. He's very educated and knowledgable and is very helpful with any questions. I've brought annoying friends in with me almost every time I've gone in there and they do very well at not showing how annoyed they are. I went last weekend to buy a new jewelry for my Medusa piercing. As soon as my friends and I walked in, we said hi to the young lady in the front and she wasn't so nice and barely seem like she wanted to take care of us. Anyways, we ignored that and I told her what I was there for. They had some jewelry in the front and while I was looking at them I saw one I liked and told her about it. My boyfriend got his piercing done first, thankfully that went fast & well. When it's my turn, I see that the receptionist gives the piercer the jewelry & tells her what I need. She says cool, I thought I was going to get another one, not the one that was displayed in the front on the desk but she said she was going to sanitized and told me to wait outside. I was only out for a quick second when she called me back. Once I was in she did the change but when she had put it in I TOLD her that it felt really tight and that my previous jewelry was longer & she said it was completely normal. I also asked her if it was okay to change it if my piercing was not completely healed, & she said yea. Fast forward to Sunday night, I check my piercing & it's completely closed!!! My piercing embedded into my skin! It was such a horrible experience. I went to another shop & had to get cut and opened. I was told a keloid had grown & that the piercing was too short, usually to change it, the piercing has to be completely closed. This piercing at this shop obviously didn't know wth she was doing. So unprofessional. She didn't even go over the aftercare instructions with my boyfriend until I told her to since it was his first piercing. I should of taken it as a red flag. I never leave reviews but I went through something really scary & I truly don't want anybody else to go through this. FIND ANOTHER SHOP!!! read more

PSA: After scheduling my tattoo that I was really excited about with Owl I came in to pay the deposit. For anybody taking COVID seriously, the employees do not wear masks or respect your 6 feet. They have a sign saying wear your mask but written at the bottom of the sign, it said "We hang this in protest". Unfortunately, I didn't see the sign until I was already in. Although they enforce customers to wear a mask, they do not wear them themselves since "it is bullshit" in their own words. He said that he would wear one while doing my tattoo if that made me more comfortable which was nice, but I'm sure he doesn't wear it with everyone unless requested so the risk was too much. After some thought, I politely told them that I didn't feel comfortable with that and would not be getting my tattoo there but that I appreciate it any way and he politely said that it was okay. I didn't think twice about what I thought was a very respectful interaction about our differences until I received a message from Owl on his Instagram tattoo page less than 10 minutes later. The message was of a picture of the sign on their door stating that "they hang the sign in protest" and then said "So sorry you felt that way ‍" and blocked me which I thought was rude seeing that we had just had a discussion and came to an understanding. Our differences were perfectly fine, but the snarky comments were unprofessional. read more

Best place ever!! The 5 star rating they hold as an average is absolutely deserved. I started going in to North Texas Tattoo a few years back for piercings- They do $10 Thursdays- any regular piercing [INCLUDING JEWELRY] is only $10 bucks!! That deal has kept me coming back and using North Texas exclusively for all my piercing needs. As I began to be around some, I became friendly with the staff. Everyone is SUPER nice and really knowledgeable. Tattooist couple Kristal and Danny are absolutely amazing artists! And, David, the shop owner does great work as well. I have had work done by both Kristal and David, and though i have a lot of "work-in-progress" pieces, everything looks amazing; heals well; and ages very gracefully. You will not get a bad tattoo out of this shop ever! Their piercer, Kat, is really cool and has done a number of my piercings- she is not only good at getting placement just right, but everything is super straight and heals up nicely. I'm not saying it doesn't hurt- but she's quick and pretty gentle! There just isn't a better shop in the midcities... maybe in the metroplex even ;-) read more

*My five stars is based solely on the piercing aspect of this place, I haven't had any tattoos done here.* This is a fairly new-ish place. I used to go here when I would visit my parents because they had $10 piercings for anything neck and up. I have had my nose pierced here twice, and my lip twice as well. In addition to being CHEAP, I love the starter jewelry they offer. They don't rip you off like other shops by giving you the biggest ugliest starter jewelry ever so that you have to spend $40 to get the jewelry you actually wanted. I recently got my nose pierced with a TINY clear rhinestone screw (other places told me this was impossible to use as starter jewelry and made me wear a big, ugly, silver ball). Since I keep ripping my piercings out, and then changing my mind and getting re-pierced, they are always really nice and knowledgable, telling me what's possible, and what's not - and what to expect (working around scar tissue, etc). I love that everyone is tatted and pierced up here, but is still REALLY nice and friendly, not playing the "i'm more alternative than you" game. This is a GREAT place to go for your first piercing. These days $10 piercings are only on Thursdays, it's $20 every other day, which I still think is a bitchin' deal. read more

Got a tattoo here about 12 years ago and it still looks good, the colors haven't faded at all. Clean place and kind of small with about 3-4 tattoo chairs and 1 piercing chair, from what I could tell. Most recently came here to get my daughter's cartilage pierced. They did a great job and she loves them. $20 each but on Thursday they have them for $10. I found the "$10 Thursday piercings" deal through Yelp and went in to get my tragus and rook done. They were $20 each (standard jewelry included) since they're not a basic cartilage piercing, but it's still a pretty good deal. Everywhere else was charging $40-50 for just one of those piercings. AJ did mine. I was nervous, but he did an amazing job. Didn't even feel the tragus. I felt the rook piercing, but it wasn't bad (like some of the videos I watched on YouTube. Lol.) I'm assuming it's because I had a good piercer doing it and he got both of them done really quick. I definitely recommend this place. Can't say anything about the tats, but this is a great spot for piercings. read more
