When I ask why, it's because this is a teen section. I'm sorry. #1 This is a PUBLIC library. For the public, #2 where I'm sitting there's a ton of manga right in front of me. What do I do if I come alone and want to borrow some Naruto? Lots of adults read manga. #3 what if I'll hear alone to pick up some books for my daughter? To the library staff: get it together. Policing sections is not going to work out for you. I'm a nice guy but you make the wrong person mad, and it could go much different. Also, it's 2025 and we know masks don't stop COVID. My almost 15 month old absolutely had a blast. They also have lots of computers to work on, a study room, an exclusive teen area. I saw a book I wanted to read that was available while looking online and went for the one book. I got there and it wasn't on the shelf where it should be. I asked an employee who confirmed the same thing. She went to the back to check their intake. She came back saying she didn't know where the book is and that I can put a hold for it. This is a singular occurrence, but in frustration I would imagine with the technology used in libraries now for finding and coding books, that it would be relatively simple to find a book that is listed as available, but if I'm wrong then let me know.

I read about streaming using your library card. A library patron can view most of the DVD material…read morethat the library carries. I downloaded the app but when it came time to fill in some information, it would not let me go further. I tried a few times at home with no luck. The message told me to visit the library for help. Once at the library, I got my device ready with the app and sought assistance. Staff were very nice and helpful. Staff checked my card which was current. I showed her what I was doing which was correct. I told her I would try one more time to check in. As luck would have it, this time the app came to life and everything worked. We both laughed and I said I guess she needed to be present before the app worked. I have already used the new app and am very pleased. Now I will attempt to add it to my Firestick. Having the app on my device will be nice for travel times. They have their own parking lot and WiFi in the building.

This library is architecturally very cool, but they don't have a Drive Thru Book Drop; I feel like this could have been an easy addition on the backside, and am disappointed they don't because getting out and dropping books in the heat of the Summer totally blows. The kids classes are really fun and are First Come First Served. Right now is the Summer Reading Program and lots of fun to get your kid reading. There is a lot of parking here, but I highly advise to lock up your vehicle, and keep your valuables out of the car, or out of sight. There are some transients that hang out front, but they're harmless; mostly there for a water bottle in the Summer time.

It is the perfect place to get a little work done and they best part, it's free! It's bright, clean, and despite being relatively small it didn't feel crowded at all. The wifi connection is great! There seems to be a big patio option but on this visit it was a little too cold to work outside. My husband brought our son here too. He had a great time flipping through books and "working" on the kids computers. We'll definitely be back when we are back in Arizona!

One of the first things I noticed was how spacious the library feels. Everything looked clean and well maintained, which made it a really comfortable place to settle in and focus. There was actually already a line of people waiting outside for the library to open at 1 PM on Sunday, which says a lot about how popular it is. One feature I thought was especially cool is their seed library, where you can pick up seeds to plant your own plants at home. They also offer the usual cultural passes, which is always a great perk with a library card. Speaking of that, I really liked how unique their library card designs are. I was able to sign up for a card today thanks to a very helpful staff member who made the process quick and easy. Inside, there were plenty of tables and outlets almost everywhere, which made it perfect for getting work done. There is also a free charging center where you can charge devices. Parking was also simple. I parked at the Scottsdale Civic Center Garage, which made access really convenient. Overall, I was very happy with my visit today and will definitely be coming back.

James Reid had parents and kids and other visitors in awe and wonder and laughing at times. Great juggling skills. Earned a word for our summer reading program, too. Definitely worth the drive over from Mesa. Really nice building. Great layout for the books they offer. Next to the "big room" where we saw the juggling we also found a little used book library. Grabbed us up a handful of books to read. Fantastic visit.

This library is located near the Surprise civic center. There is a lovely pond and trail just…read moreoutside of it. You can enjoy the view from the large picture window within the facility. Although I am not a resident of Surprise or Arizona for that matter, I was able to sign up for a free library card. I even got to choose my library card design that was created by residents in an annual contest. They have a variety of services here that you will find at other libraries across the country. You can check out physical books or download the Surprise Library app and find links to the Hoopla and Libby apps for free digital content downloads including movies, TV shows, podcasts, audiobooks, music, and more. They have laptops and WiFi devices available, but there seems to be a very long wait for these. People can check them out for a 3-week period. You can also use computers there at the facility. I loved seeing a group of friends playing games at a table. There was also a Seed Library for people wanting to grow their own plants. The Library of Things (LOTs) seems to be popular for kids to checkout toys. My favorite item was the cultural pass. They had available passes to a variety of museums and cultural establishments. You could checkout a pass and use it within a seven day period. I wanted to checkout the free pass to the Phoenix Art Museum. Unfortunately, this branch didn't have one available at the moment I came in, but the staff was kind enough to direct me to another branch that had it and they held it for me since they knew I was on my way. The pass was good for two free admissions to the art museum. This saved us over $50. What an amazing service offering! There are countless events on the calendar, especially for young families. It's definitely worth visiting your local branch to find entertainment and educational resources to enrich your life.
