Amazing environment. I enjoyed their baseball fields. I worked as an umpire and the people were easy going.

From start to finish, the staff was amazing--super helpful, responsive, and made the entire process feel easy and seamless. Getting our permit approved was quick, and when I had to switch locations last minute (literally a week before), they somehow had availability and got us in. I was so relieved and honestly overjoyed. The space itself was perfect. The shaded picnic table area is such a gem--especially on a hot day, which it definitely was. It kept everyone comfortable and made the setup really easy. The park and playground are also really nice and well-maintained, which made it great for both kids and adults to enjoy. There's also a splash pad, which unfortunately wasn't open during our event only due to the time of year, but I'm already thinking about booking again this summer so the kids can fully enjoy it. Overall, such a smooth, stress-free experience. Highly recommend for anyone planning a party or gathering!

Plenty of area to let them run around. Some areas have foxtails (or worse). Definitely neeed to be careful and inspect their paws upon arrival of home. There's areas for kids to play. Lots of different party's planned , Very close to Smart n final and Trader Joe's , so convenient to walk by.

*Kids tennis and swim review* My daughter has been taking tennis lessons at Ritchie Valens Park for…read moreover a year, and she absolutely loves Coach Tim. She truly believes he is the best coach. His teaching and training style is both fun and effective. He uses thoughtful exercises and drills that are perfectly suited for helping kids learn tennis while staying engaged and excited to be there. As a parent, I really appreciate how professional he is and, most importantly, the way he speaks to the kids. Coach Tim has a special way of motivating them, encouraging them, and building their self-esteem through his words. We are very sad to hear that Coach Tim will be moving away and will no longer be teaching here. He has made such a positive impact on my daughter, and he will truly be missed by our family. We are so grateful for the time our daughter was able to learn from him and wish him all the best. Swim Classes Review: The swim classes here are also wonderful. The lifeguards/ teachers are friendly, patient, and great with kids. I really like that the program has clear levels and that kids are tested. I had a hard time teaching my daughter to swim at home, but once she started classes, she learned to float in just one class and was swimming by the second level. I highly recommend the swim classes, they are very affordable, and I love that they're offered daily (seasonal only).

***Tennis Class Review Only***…read more I was recommended to sign up for the tennis adult class at Ritchie Valens Park by one or Tim's current students, and I'm glad I joined. I started last summer and it's been a great experience. Coach Tim does a great job balancing rally practices with skill development for all levels. He takes his time to go over proper form and technique, which has helped me improve. The sessions are both fun and instructional. I highly recommend taking the class!

I felt totally safe and comfortable letting my son play there. There is a sand pit so if you want to avoid the mess, maybe this isn't the playground for you. My son is young, so even though he can't climb a lot of the jungle gym, there were lots of things on his (ground) level that he could do. There was also a smaller slide that was good for littler ones. When we arrived around 4pm, it was pretty empty but as 5pm rolled around lots and lots of other kids arrived. Overall the environment was very friendly amongst the community and all of the kids looked like they were having fun. There were two big kid swings and two littler kid swings. My son especially loved the yellow car apparatus that was in the sand pit. They have steering wheels you can turn which was definitely his jam. This park is a nice oasis in the Valley and I highly recommend checking it out if you have kids or are looking for a peaceful place to picnic. I didn't get a chance to check out the taco trucks, but they were pretty busy so I will next time!
