What a pain! Maybe it was just my job, or maybe just because I'm an old man, but I wouldn't let this company roof my dog house. Roofing delivery arrived unannounced early in the morning. Ok, that's fine. A week or so later the crew showed up, unannounced at about 6:30 A.M. Still, whatever. Then they broke the line to the swamp cooler on the side of the house. I fixed it. They completely tore off some of the trim pieces on the dormers. I had a guy coming to paint those anyway, so he caulked and put a few nails in. They had no idea of what they needed to do other than the house. They broke the float in the swamp cooler and water was pouring out for at least an hour according to one worker. They told me if I hurry and get a new float they could fix it. And I did get one. They put it in, (which I had to redo) when I went on the roof that afternoon to put the cooler side panel back in. And the cooler is at least an inch and a half out of level. At that time I noticed that the cutter supports were broken and a less than desirable attempt at repair had taken place. I had no contact, so I called the company. I called enough times that they handed me off to the manager. After a while, I would just call whoever called me last in the company. There was a leak at the water heater that was repaired at the same time as the gutter (repair) which I eventually replaced. Nov. 1 there was a wet snow and water was running behind the fascia in the front. Every time I asked about the broken skylight, it was on order. After months of waiting I ordered one and had it within a few days and hired someone to do the work. 5-30 a guy shows up to measure the skylight. He said he tried to come a few days before but the gate was closed. The gate hasn't been closed in 20 years. Over a year from date of loss and now you're measuring the skylight??? I told him to leave politely. Now they say it wasn't in the invoice but it was on the original contract. And now they want to see my invoice for the skylight! Maybe I should invoice them for the biohazard dump one of the crew took in my yard!! The hi vis yellow t-shirt wipe is still there. As far as the insurance company knows, I never had all the work completed, because they never received the proper documentation from the roofing company. I lose out on any depreciation cost now because my loss was over a year ago. I paid to replace some gutter, I paid with time and sweat for the swamp cooler repairs, I paid to repair roofing crew damage and I paid for a skylight that was clearly stated in the contract. Now, I need to pay them so they will just go away! read more

After the hail storm in June of 2012, my neighbor told me that I might need a new roof. I said "No! I just had a roof put on 3 years ago." He proceeded to tell me that he was getting his house painted as well. I thought that would be better than a new roof. So I called the roofing company that put on my roof 3 years ago and asked them to come out. They told me I needed a new roof and no painting. Three years ago they had set it up so that I did not have to pay the deductible on the insurance. With the new laws in place this is now considered fraud and illegal. I learned this from my insurance agent. He recommended a couple companies, one of which was North West Roofing/North West Exteriors. Mac came out and looked at my roof and said yes I needed a new roof. He also offered me a free upgrade to a class 4 shingle at no extra cost. This allowed me to have a reduction of cost to my home insurance and receive a refund of $250.00. When I went back to the other company they refused the upgrade and maintained that they were within their legal rights to not charge me a deductible. I choose to go with North West Roofing. The installation was done in one day. After getting home that night I noticed large scratches on my garage door where the installers had thrown misplaced shingles down and they had hit the garage door. North West Roofing replaced my garage door at no cost to me. They were very quick in replacing it and solving the problems as result of that incident. All extra painting that they promised me was done quickly and efficiently and professionally. The yard was left clean and neat. I met Jeremy Soliday a couple months ago and have been looking for a roofing company that will not just replace a roof, but focus on the client and the clients needs. I am a real estate agent who looks for those who can provide value to my clients consistently. I had a listing that needed a new roof. I called Jeremy and he came out on a Sunday morning to meet with the insurance adjuster, sellers and myself. I had just bought my house and only owned it for a year when the hail storm came through. I knew it was an original roof and was not in the best of conditions, but we could not get anything done about it in the deal for the house. In fact we ended up noticing that there was a leak or two under hard weather conditions. And then the hail storm hit. Northwest was professional from day one and made me feel comfortable in the whole ordeal. They helped deal with my insurance and I was able to see what the roof looked like with the adjuster and the Northwest roofing representative and see all the major issues with the roof. They helped me pick out the color of the new shingles and made everything almost effortless. The work was done very quickly and in the time frame promised. They also ended up fixing a few other things while up there and replacing a lot of flashing and vents and other things necessary all within the insurance guidelines. All in all the roof couldn't be and look better. I was very impressed with how they handled my situation and the repair and the customer service was spot on. I was always in the loop about every detail including how the insurance payments would go. I currently had my roof replaced by North West Roofing. I called them based on a referral by my sister and could not have been more pleased. I worked with Richard Shook who was very knowledgeable, professional and made himself available to be there when the insurance adjuster came out. This was most helpful. Everything that Richard said would be done was done and it was done when he said it would be! Not always the case these days. He told me when the roofing team would show up and they were there exactley when he said. The team was also awsome, making sure everything was protected and cleaned up when they were finished. I would highly recommend Richard and North West Roofing to anyone needing a roof replacement. I live in Northern Colorado and this was not an issue at all. North West Roofing (also called North West Exteriors) did a fantastic job. Unlike other roofers that descend upon you like maggots, North West Roofing was very professional in their communication. Richard Shock (fantastic to work with) contacted me by phone about potential hail damage on my roof. He did not pester after the initial message, so I returned the call a week or so after. He followed up on questions, came to the house to go over options, and was extremely responsive. The roofers did their best to give me the best price they could based on my insurance policy. Not only did the roofers do a timely and professional job, but when they finished the job on the house (it was a rental property) and the tenants weren't there to let them in the garage to finish the clean up, they left a note with a phone number so the tenants could contact them when they returned home. After living in an area where roofing companies come by every week to try and sell whatever they could as fast as possible, the refreshing approach of Northwest was a welcome relief. They worked with me and my wife to find the right roof for our budget, as well as worked with our insurance company to ensure that everything that needed to be done was handled. They were professional from minute one(not scammer like some roofing salespeople) and got the job done quickly and perfectly. Not only did they commit to a date and keep it, but after our shingles were delivered, they came out the day before and realized that the wrong ones were dropped. I had an absolute wonderful experience with Don and Norwest Exteriors. From the inspection report for my Seller's home the Buyer wanted an item on the roof repaired. I call Don at North West and just asked him if he could give me an estimate of how much the repair would be and the time frame in which he could do it. Don said that he would get to the home and give me an idea within two hours. So not only did Don get to the home in a timely manner he also did the repair at the same time not knowing whether or not he would be paid for the work he preformed. To me that was above and beyond my expectation. The charge was extremely reasonable and included a five year roof certification. We wanted to go with a company that has been around in Denver for years. The crew did a great job removing 2 layers of old roofing, new decking and installing the new roof. They were very preprofessional, easy to talk to, great clean up afterward. Richard was our project manager and his service was superb. He was a great support throughout the precess. He met with the insurance adjustor, great knowledge about the process, met the crew in the morning and came by to clean up at the completion. I am new to the Parker area in Denver, and had my roof, among other things damaged 2 weeks ago by hail. I had lots of roofers knocking on my door within hours of the storm. This made me very nervious. I even saw somthing on the news warning about dishonest contractors showing up for storms. One of my new neighbors recomended Northwest Roofing, they had replaced his roof and his sisters aswell. Wow, all I can say is my house already has a new roof. We just had their estimator Jeff Haynes stop by - I let him know that I wasn't up for another line of BS like I got from the last roofing company who stopped by and wanted me to sign a contract 5 minutes after they got done looking at my roof and ensured me that there was enough hail & wind damage to get a full replacement - needless to say, I never spoke to that company again. Jeff took a look at our roof and said that in his opinion, our roof was in pretty good shape and definitly would not get a decision by the insurance company to get replaced. Northwest Roofing and Don Nichols did a great job on my roof. Don sent me a letter to ask if I wanted him to check the roof out because I had my house rented. He met me and the adjuster at the property and even came back when the adjuster ended up on the wrong side of town. He took a lot of time to go over the options with me and did a great job with the adjuster. He called the day before coming out and they tore off the old roof and put the new one on in a day. They didn't require any money until the roof was on and then collected half. The didn't collect the other half until the completion inspection. It was a very pleasant experience. read more
