Stay far away from them if you're not in a reasonable service area. They are an insurance claim chaser company and will step all over you to get at your payout. They sent different people out to inspect and provide quotes (gutter and soffits/fascia was the scope requested). I did not ask for a roof assessment but the gutter guy thought it might be eligible for an insurance replacement, so I said sure send the guy on out and let's see what happens. That's where it got really.... interesting. My first appointment was for a Friday. I asked for a specific time so I could manage my work schedule around the inspection. A time was agreed upon. Nobody showed up. I had to initiate contact to find out that they would not be coming that day due to the time/distance. We rescheduled and on the rescheduled date, I reached out early to confirm the time and was told the inspector would be 30min late. I readjusted my work calendar and was notified it would be an additional 15min. This turned out to very much work in my favor. The inspection was very thorough and took about 1.5hr. At the conclusion of the inspection I was told they can convince the insurance company to replace the roof. They showed me what ended up being a contract, but was not presented as such explicitly by name. I was asked to sign before they revealed the "fine print" on the back page - which involved having the insurance company sign the check over to Rex Roofing rather than me (I have USAA). This didn't sit well after discussing with several people and reviewing the fine print. I voided the contract within the 72 hour grace period so I can get a second opinion, gather additional quotes, and control my own insurance payout (if that happens). Instead of responding to me to confirm they received my email (always document in writing! With time stamps!) they forwarded it to the inspector who started texting me asking to "resolve" the situation. I explained, as I had in the email, that I would be taking my insurance payout myself and I requested a "cash price" quote from them. I was then told there was no way my insurance company would approve it without the inspector present, a number of wild assumptions and insinuations were made, and I was essentially berated by text by the salesman for exercising a legal right to void the contract. I had to block his number because he would not stop texting me to mansplain how I had no idea what I was doing as a homeowner and he was the only person who could convince my insurance adjuster to cover the roof. Turns out he was right - they talked me into opening a claim, the adjuster said the roof is perfectly fine and they would replace only one portion of one downspout that had hail damage. I can't tell you how the "value" of this company compares to others because they said they would do the work "for a price agreed upon with the insurance company" without providing a scope of work or any numbers of any kind in writing - so I guess they're not really interested in much besides doing the job for as much as they can squeeze out of the insurance company. I might not have made a USAA claim myself but everyone else in my family has.

I reached out for his opinion, and he was honest in what he thought would get the leak solved for the least cost. He suggested a patch and seal job would last at least half a decade, which fit our needs, but obviously a full replacement would be a more permanent solution. As we opted for the patch and seal, his team were quick to get the job done, and payment was super easy. Fast forward a few months to early May, when it's been raining nonstop the past few days, and no leaks! Of course, I hope the work they've done lasts longer than five years, but I know who to contact when I need it.

They also threw a water bottle on our air conditioning unit. I called the company to tell them it was unacceptable and Tony Collins ARGUED/threw a toddler tantrum back, "Well your roof is trash anyways, and is unacceptable," "I was there all day and my crew cleans up after themselves," "things bounce," "nails always end up in the street" and then promptly hung up - well sir, I can assure you our trash can says they did not clean up, a 3/4 full water bottle does not bounce 6 feet over a fence and then 2.5 feet onto an air conditioning unit - willing to demonstrate with the exact water bottle in our trash can since you are so adamant that it bounced and know very little about gravity and objects with weight to them. Nails don't land 15-20 feet onto our front porch (which is around a house corner and a car parked in the driveway) or onto our back deck 20-30 feet from our neighbors house by bouncing. We also have cameras that show your roofers sitting on the fence and walking on top of it which was unneccessary, unprofessional and uncalled for as it was not an "access point" to get to the roof. Our neighbor who had the roofing done, is still cleaning up his yard after your crew left several hours ago. Will not use them if/when we do decide to get our roof replaced. We did have him inspect our roof as he came recommended especially after the hailstorms that blew through. He amplified/highly exaggerated how bad the damage was, as my boyfriend was also up on the roof with him looking at what he was looking at. We were supposed to receive a quote the following day and NEVER received it. (***Per another roofing company: our roof does not meet the criteria to need a replacement nor will insurance cover it as it is not that damaged. A shingle here or there maybe - that's how little the damage actually was, but not an entire roof with half of it covered in Solar Panels.***)

My problem rest when they left, they had littered my front yard with an empty Paul Mall cigarette pack and Bang energy drink. Then, I walked into my backyard to see debris everywhere. I have two dogs and have picked up at least 8 roofing nails, and more shingles and plastic than I feel I should be. They should be held accountable for picking up their own messes, even though it wasn't my house they were working on. They should have knocked on my door and at the very least told me what was going on. My other neighbor comes over to let my dogs out while I am at work and the roofing team had promised him, "you won't even notice we were here." A week later I am still finding nails and my 9 month old puppy is helping me find the smaller shingles by chewing them up. Please have your team do better.
