On two occasions when, in visiting friends in this area, I needed almost immediate service, Moe's came through for me--big time. Despite being quite busy, they went the extra mile and dealt with my damaged tire in a very professional and courteous way. It seemed as though they dropped everything just to help me. They also noticed that I was due for a 60K service so because they had been so nice to me--twice now, I decided to give them the job instead of going to my customary shop on the Cape. These guys are professional and don't just muddle along, they take the job seriously and the prices are very reasonable! I've requested a 96' Miata to be fully inspected mechanically this morning to make sure everything is good before buying it from a private seller. They are doing their job fast while being completely honest and found an accident has happened to the car which is not documented by carfax or being mentioned by the seller (looks like the seller is not aware of those issues but not fully sure about that). They also identified the rear main seal leakage (commonly seen in Miata but around 1k costly repair required), front brake caliper stick into rotor (not a big issue but replacing 2 are also expensive in labor), big hole inside front rocker panel, and poor repair done by previous owners. In the end, I decided not to buy it because of the high repair cost, I did reach out to the seller for a pretty aggressive deal because of the accidents and stuff based on the estimation, the seller was also nice and very friendly though. But unfortunately, he was not being able to sell it for that price. I wouldn't say it's a lemon, but this shop really saved me from buying a potentially costly Miata although it's with a desirable 5-speed manual. Will definitely come back if there are any used vehicles I want to buy in the Northborough area. Keep it up! read more

I love these guys! As someone that doesn't know much about cars, it's nice to have a go-to place where they have patience and are trustworthy. I went to Northboro Auto this summer with a broken AC after previous places being unable to diagnose the problem. They were easy to deal with and provided immediate dates for appointments. I recently came in again with a tire issue, and one of the guys took the time to find a hole as small as a pin! They recently moved to a brand new garage right around the corner from the old location. The building is pleasant to wait in and the guys are friendly and talkative. Regardless of your issue, you won't find a better place to take your car. read more

This place was recommended by my brother in law after I'd gotten fed up with the lies I was being told by the commission-based chain auto shops on Route 9. Yes, I know they were lies because one would tell me I needed d thousands of dollars of work on something, while the others reported something completely different. This happened more than once. The guys here were really nice and easy to work with. They didn't try to sell me on anything and I could confirm everything that needed to be done. They say a good... I've worked with Amin for years, and I trust him (and his team) completely - and isn't that what you really want, when you're looking for somebody to take care of your cars? I KNOW I will not be bamboozled, and I will be given honest, fair prices, for work that really needs to be done. And when a quick fix will do the job, I won't be charged for the long and expensive repair that I really didn't need. I'm gonna give my honest opinion here of this business! Service great experience not so great! I took my truck here 4 months ago for service! I talked to moe (awesome dude) he took my truck in gave me a price for what it needed and it was a great price(best in town)! 4 hours later came to get my truck moe was not there and I dealt with amhad(his son) I believe his name was and he quite honestly was a cocky jackass who had a not so good attitude! (I won't go into specifics because moe was such a good businessman) So I have to say prices are great and moe is aweosme but if he's going to give the business to his son he should give him some lessons on being a good businessman otherwise this business is doomed! read more

I first took my car to Northboro Auto when I moved to Northborough in 2010 and since then I have had everything from routine oil changes to things like replacing brake pads and struts, and various other jobs done here. Any time my car has needed any work, Amin has provided me with plenty of information on the situation and usually provides multiple options for how we can approach the repairs (varying from the gold standard to more wallet-friendly options). He has also been honest and told me when something I thought needed to be done was not necessary, or if there is something that might need to be done eventually but was not currently affecting the car adversely. Although I have moved around a bunch since 2010 (including one year in Texas), I always come back to Northboro Auto because I thoroughly trust them to provide accurate information about what is going on with my car and what the best repair options are, all at a reasonable price. I now live over an hour and a half away, but I still bring my car here any time it is having any issues (although I will admit I have gotten routine things like oil changes done elsewhere closer to my home when I have been too busy to make the trip out there). read more

The people there do NOT know anything about car repairs. 2nd time for oil change,overfilled it! Had a flat tire,tried to tell us we needed a new tire(which they didn't have in stock) & would have to wait until next day..when all it really needed was a plug! tried to tell us we need new ball joints at well over $500 Wouldn't give inspection sticker..said there was no relective paint & license plate was to warped... Brought car to a dealership after all that,,plugged the tired & got inspection sticker....this isn't the first time ,,tried to give them 2nd chance...we should of listened to all the PAST CUSTOMERS COMPLAINTS...not a good place to go to read more

I now know the terms for what has occurred which are fraud and conversion. At the time I seemingly had no choice but to pay for the vehicle that you repaired without consent, so I had paid and was on my way. While the prices for a repair shop were reasonable (read as way more than if done by yourself), there were explicit instructions to contact before performing any repairs. Had I known it was blatantly illegal and not just ridiculously aggravating, I would never have agreed to pay. Not to mention the employees -brothers, they said- had the gall to play annoyed with ME for being upset that they worked on the car. They claimed I should have called them more often to make it seem like I was concerned about the work; I called a few times to see how it was coming along and at the last call they said they would call back in an hour. They didn't, so I called back at the end of the work day to find they already performed the work! read more
