A serious sounding pop had developed over time from the front suspension of our 2012 Toyota FJ. I took it to the Toyota dealer three times and they said they couldn't hear the pop so they couldn't do anything about it. So, I tried A-Tech. They not only found the problem but 100% fixed it! I went to A-Tech today for the first time for an oil change and tire rotation. The service counter gentleman was very friendly and when I called for an appointment I was able to get one in two days. Two reasons for 3 stars, first of all $127 for those two things is a bit much in my opinion but that's not as bad as the greasey hand prints on the door handle, the fender, the hood and a big greasey butt print on my white leather seat, the car is also white. I really don't care how much it cost, but you shouldn't have to clean your car after any services at any cost. I actually didn't notice this until after I had crossed town to walk my dog at Dean Park. I'm sure if I had noticed it in their parking lot and asked them to clean it they would have, but there was no way I was going to do that. When it's Sparky's dinner time that's my priority. read more

I have been going to ATech since 2017. Finding a mechanic you can trust is gold. I always receive excellent and fair service. I work with Mike and if he says the car needs something done, I trust him. My most recent service highlighted everything I appreciate about working with ATech - over the weekend my son hit a pothole, damaging the car. I called Mike first thing Monday morning and he fit us in. He also gave me a loaner vehicle when I mentioned I had just started a new job and needed to rent a car. This business is by far the worst customer service. The "owner" was standoffish and then asked me why was a loner being provided. I'm charged with highway robbery you would think a little customer service would be in mind. I've called and left serval voicemails but had no communication from them. When my vehicle was ready I was told my bill was an extra $285 now brings me to $1740. I left a voicemail specifically asking for a quote Before any extra work (no approval had been given nor asked. What I asked to have repaired was not done nor was it communicated as to why. I worked in the automotive industry for 10 years. If anyone wants to charge a customer's card without speaking to the customer and providing information as to extra charges or showing proof. (not the loaner agreement) Would have been fired. (for theft) No one has called me back explaining the extra $147 charges After vehicle pick up. (Mind you I saved my gas receipts etc.) I do not trust this auto shop. It pains me to find out that this business identified as women-owned. With a $1846.00 repair charge. I was treated unprofessionally and unfairly. I understand the economy is not doing so well, but this is beyond. I have never experienced such treatment. These people robed me and the technician that worked on my vehicle is not certified. (I know because my daughter sent me a video of her friend working on my vehicle while another technician vaping in the background) I would have submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, but this is a review to be seen by future customers to do research. read more

A-Tech Automotive is amazing! I brought my car here today after an exhausting nine months of power steering trouble with another mechanic. Everyone from Roberta (front desk) to Matt (technician) to everyone else in the shop was professional, courteous, kind, and understanding. They were able to help me to stay calm and were very nice when I was clearly frustrated with the previous work that was done. Roberta was able to get me hooked up with a free loner car for the day (yes, they have FREE loner cars), which was helpful as I had a couple of errands to run and needed to do some things at home as well. The technicians did a multi-point inspection and checked out everything going on with my car. When they discovered the problem with the hoses connected to my power-steering pump and they were understanding when I said that I needed some time to think about them fixing it today. Before they did any replacements or changes they called me to verify that this was okay. There was never any pressure to buy anything or have them personally fix my car. They wanted me to be happy and satisfied and I felt appreciated and care for. When I was leaving Roberta told me that she would be happy to see me back, but wanted me to take my time and to think about everything. I truly felt that she understood what I was going through. Also, I love that their waiting area has snacks, water, wi-fi, and cable television. This is the place that you want to hang out when your car is being worked on! They rival some of the dealership waiting areas! Definitely I would return to A-tech for my automotive needs. They are courteous, helpful, and honest. For the first mechanic shop I have visited in New England so far I am impressed and overwhelmed with joy to have found them gem! read more

The father of a close friend, whose opinion I trust as a former CEO and genuine car nut, suggested A-Tech to me and I'm glad I took his advice. For me, the worst part of owning and Audi is constantly getting ripped off by excessive dealership service fees for routine maintenance by "qualified Audi technicians". Technicians that always seem to find another problem that will tack on a few extra hundred to the bill. Being a new homeowner, I needed to find a way to keep my car running well without spending the equivalent of a mortgage payment. I've serviced my car three times with A-Tech Auto now, and will continue to because 1) they flexibly schedule appointments to meet my needs (I'd go as far as to say "bend over backwards"), 2) we agree to a price up-front that is reasonable and hasn't changed by the time I pick up the car, and 3) my car is running more reliably. The only drawback I've experienced is that their loaner car isn't a new Audi. Frankly, I could care less about that or about getting a sales pitch every time I drop it off - "No Rt. 9 Audi, I can't afford this because you've just charged me $4000 for an oil change, diagnostics, and a belt replacement....again." Cody Crawford (service manager) has been great to deal with, and for the first time in my life I actually trust an auto repair shop. I have always owned old cars, so I am familiar with car repairs. When I moved into town about 7 years ago, I was actually worried that I would never be able to replace my old and trusted mechanic. Well, I luckily tried these guys out. They are very easy to work with, they provide quotes in detail, do excellent work and stand behind it. They fully explain my options and work with me to figure out what is best for me at that time. Since I have old cars, I usually pick and choose what to fix. So this helps me out quite a bit. The guys at A-Tech are just amazing. They are really good at keeping you informed on whats going on with the car and when exactly will it be done. Initially went in with a dead battery. They did diagnose and also suspected some brake issues. However ended up not replacing the brakes and said they are fine and were just rusted out because of all the rain. 9/10 guys would replace them and bill me just to rake up that bill. They're a no nonsense repair shop. Very prompt and professional! Chad at the front desk is a great fella! Go see them if you have car troubles!! read more

recently moved to shrewsbury and needed to take my wife's car in for an oil change. posted a recommendation request on shrewsbury's community FB page and received multiple posts for a-tech automotive. i wanted to find an honest and trustworthy place since we are new to the area and per FB many in the community felt a-tech was it. cody, the service manager, was friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. i opted to wait on site for the service in their comfortable lounge, but many people just drop off their cars. note: if you wish to wait there for an oil change make sure to call 24hrs before. the oil change was completed in 30minutes and cody gave me a quick overview on the status of my wife's vehicle. he did not try to up-sell any unnecessary services or pressure me into a service i did not need and i appreciated that immensely. i cannot speak on behalf of their other auto/repair services, but i would feel comfortable bringing a car here if it needed more than just an oil change. thank you cody and the technician working on our car today. UPDATED since spring appears to be finally here (we hope), i opted to swap out the winter tires i got for my wife when we first moved here. since i had such a great experience at a-tech i figured we could have them take care of it here in shrewsbury rather than drive an hour to the costco where i got the winter tires. cody was great again in helping me schedule an appointment on short notice. couldnt be happier with their work and service. thanks again a-tech! read more

Went here for state inspection at 8am. Guys nice & friendly and I was out in under half an hour. Impressed.

This garage took advantage of my 19 year old son who brought his car in for inspection. They told him his 2002 RAV4 needed front struts or it would fail inspection. They quoted him 1100 for the work! I welcome everyone to look at the cost of the parts and labor for this work. It should be no more than 1/2 that cost. Very upsetting. When I discussed with them they said it is what it is. They tried 3 times to repair a small EVAP leak on my car and charged me 3 times for a total of over $800, after all that money, the problem is not only not fixed, but actually got worse. Stay away from this place, do not even ask them for a check up, they will tell you all kinds of fairy tales. read more

We had to bring my brothers car here when it decided to start making weird noises and stopped working. We called ahead to let them know we were going to be dropping off the car. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful and nice. The car was fixed within a couple days (parts needed to be ordered) and every time there was a question they gave us a call. This place is awesome! The lady that works the service desk, Roberta, is super nice. They get the work done fast; I brought my car in with 2 flat tires 10pm Tuesday night, and they had it ready for pick up by 3pm Wednesday afternoon. Their prices are more than reasonable...I was expecting it to cost over $300 and they got it done for less. They also have a 2yr guarantee for the tires. And they called a week later to follow up to make sure everything was still all good. All around great service; I will definitely return for future service. They also have a AAA discount. read more

This place will rip you off and then lie about what needs to be repaired. They falsely passed state inspection on the used car- the dealer told me that the car should have never passed. DO NOT GO to this place. I had been going there for few months now mostly to get oil changed. But they cannot even do oil change properly. I had issues twice in a row right after I had oil changed at this place. First time oil started leaking - when I went back they confidently told me this is just a coincident and you have a real oil leak problem and all sorts of "scary" oil leak stories. Showed him that cap was not sealed properly and that's it. Wasted 2 hours of my time. They charge premium dealer labor cost per hour - but who will pay for hour I wasted for their mistake ? Second time it's even BIGGER - I got oil changed and break pad changed. Paid premium price to get this done, but again - after driving for a day engine light showed up. They checked code and apparently oil pressure switch is bad. Had to pay for 2 hours labor and parts - $335. All because they screwed something up. Never had such issue in 4 years with this car and it cannot be coincidence again. If you have to pay dealer price for labor - why go to these uneducated people who don't even respect/treat customers when something go wrong. They make you feel like they did a favor by giving you a service :). read more

Very Unhappy with the pricing. I got my car towed to A-tech by AAA thinking with AAA discount I will get fair pricing but ended up paying $100 more compare to other places for new Starter. Couldn't get my car towed to any other place because A-tech was charging $125 just for diagnostics. They charge $50 for Oil change. $50??? Never heard that !!! I paid $23 at Midas. read more

Car broke down on 290 and had AAA tow it to A Tech Auto. It was a decision based on blind faith since I knew nothing of the garage. Suffice to say, if I lived in the area, I would always take my car there for repairs. I needed a new water pump and along with the repair, they did a 30 point inspection. I was told that I needed some front end work done but that it was up to me if I wanted them to do it. I decided that since the car was already in the garage, I'd let them take car of it. The car definitely drives much better. Glad it was done. The manager was pleasant and professional, the work done was solid, the service was speedy and the car drives great. I was able to pay onIine which was super convenient since I was planning on getting the car after hours. If I lived in the area, I would definitely bring my car there for repairs. read more

Excellent service and great people. I had an issue with my Mini so I took it to a different shop that was recommended to me by a friend that supposedly specialized in BMW & Minis. But they were unable to resolve the problem. Since I had been taking my other vehicles to A-Tech for a number of years I asked them to look at it. They were able to resolve the issue that caused the check engine light to come on, cleared all the codes, fixed a few other things and got the car to pass the MA inspection requirements. Plus it was even less than the original estimate. The crew at A-Tech is not going to try and screw you and tell you that you need work that you don't need just to pad their bill. They do excellent work at a fair price and it has always been easy to get my car in for work. I highly recommend them for any kind of car you have or anything you need fixed. These guys can do it. I have a mini Cooper that I was having some intermittent issues with. A co-worker suggested I take it to a shop in Westboro that was a mini/BWM specialist. So I took it there, but they were not able to figure out the problem. So I decided to take it to A-tech because I had taken my other cars there in the past and they always did a great job. I got a call later and they gave me a run down on the various issue that I should have fixed, looked at, or things that showed some wear. But they did not do anything until I gave them the go ahead. They explained everything in detail to me. As they fixed the things that needed to be done immediately, they checked and noted the things that they said needed looked at and also made notes on the things that showed wear but did not need to be done just yet. When I OK'ed the repairs they suggested, they gave me an estimate on total cost. When the car was done I went to pick it up and the bill was actually less then the estimate...Hawley, the nicest customer service representative in the world, explained that they got a discount on the parts so they passed that discount on to me. How many places do you know that will actually charge you less than the agreed on price? They could have kept that discount and I would have never know, but that is NOT the way they work. They will not tell you you need something you don't need just to pad their bill. The technicians all do excellent work and will test drive you vehicle to make sure the work was done right and nothing else was wrong. They don't just pull it out of the bay and park it and go on to the next job, and Hawley will do everything she can to make sure you are a happy and satisfied customer. Including calling you after the job to make sure you are completely satisfied after driving for a couple days. A-tech automotive is one of the best, most honest repair facilities in the area, Plus they also have a AAA discount. Oh bye the way. they were able to fix the issue that the specialist couldn't. I will continue to take my vehicles to A-tech and would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody that needs any repairs done, big or small they fix them all. read more
