I cannot say enough about this place I had been going here for years and decided to try a new place who wanted to sedate my child six different times for 6 cavities that I was told my child does not have at this place thank God I did not let them torture my daughter at the other place. GREAT STAFF ALL but a special thanks to I know I'm probably spelling this wrong but she told my daughter it was okay to call her this Helos (OLAF) SHES AMAZING. No parent should be comfortable using this dentist's office. My son went in to extract a baby tooth and the dentist on call said that he would make an appointment to seal my child's teeth and put him UNDER anesthesia in two weeks to extract the small tooth which is NOT attached to any root. He said he was going to gas my son and put him under, because pulling the baby tooth would be too traumatic for my son. He said this in front of my very sensitive son and my wife. I am a middle school teacher, with training in childhood trauma and I have worked with CPS and as a trauma team liason and this doctor had the audacity to imply that my wife and myself were trying to traumatize our child, in front of our child. Worse, to try and guilt us as parents into allowing A TRAUMATIC AND UNNECESSARY PROCEDURE ON OUR INNOCENT CHILD, so they could justify billing us more. I wonder how many childhood psychology degrees are on the walls in this office? The LAST thing you do is tell a child that they are traumatized if you are unqualified to do so. Certainly though, the staff lacks manners and common decency. If you want to scar your children and have your basic parenting questioned so that these people can use your child like a walking dollar sign, please, take your child here. IF, however, you care about the healthy and wholesome development of your child NEVER take your child here. They clearly do not care about you OR your kids. read more

I took our 3 daughters in for cleaning and exam. All of them are on CHIP and we had all of their cards. I had completed all of the paperwork on line and we arrived 15 minutes before our appointment time. The office personnel asked me for my driver's license and then asked me if I was their legal guardian. I told her that they were my children. They are biologically my granddaughters but we legally adopted them years ago. They forced me to go back home and get their adoption papers before they would treat them. I didn't see them question any of the other parents in the waiting room regarding their parentage. The cleaning consisted of polishing only, no tartar removal. read more

This place was not bad. Staff was nice dr was very polite. They set up the appointments in a manner like every kid is going to be difficult and I understand why but I didn't really like that mindset. I could could only make one $400 payment for the first visit and I wanted to pay $800 for both up front and the response was we have to see how your child handles the first visit to decide if we need to put him under. My kid has had work done before and does very well. So it was a little annoying that there was no room there it was what they said and that's it. Not sure if I will make this the family dentist or if I'm going to try a new place depends on how his appointment goes next week. read more

Took my nephew to see Dr. Coppola and everything was absolutely lovely. Glad that one of his first experiences at the dentist was as fun to him as a day at the park. He got to play with some toys so he was beyond happy. I saw that there were even video games in the waiting room for the older kids! My two children have been here for a while, so far pretty ok but the last 2 times really bad services, this morning we had an appointment at 9:20 am, we came early but they said we have to wait to see if they can see us, we waited for more than 1 hour, but still not even seen. I've been taking my kids here for years but just now decided to leave a review because I was looking for a dentist for myself and wished there were more reviews. So that brought me to review my kids dentist. They are awesome. I can always get an appointment for all 3 of my kids at the same time. They are great with kids and they have a very courteous staff. They are so great that my kids ask me if it's time to see the dentist again. The place is clean and spacious. They have an area for check ups where if you have more then one child they can all get examined at the same time and you can sit on a bench right in the same area. I've never had to wait long in this office and keep in mind that I take 3 kids at once. This place is just perfect!!! read more

Also, I wish their Website had their hours of operation. I could be blind but I don't see it. I work so it's tough calling during the day to set up an appointment. Shortly after posting this update I was contacted by Northeast Dental and all my concerns were addressed. This is an excellent place to bring your kids to the dentist. The staff is caring and compassionate; they will go out of their way to get your child seen ASAP if your child has a sore tooth. The dentists are pediatric specialists, so they have received several years of extra training to learn about the proper treatment of children's teeth. They also have a dentist who treats older children. The office is nice and new and very kid friendly with games, tvs, decorations, etc. Overall, highly recommended. read more

My daughter had her worst dental experience here...regret bringing her to this place. Procedure for dental sealants took much longer than estimated; causing my daughter discomfort and pain from her mouth being dry and forced open too wide and too long and not being able to swallow. The device used to prop her mouth open actually left scrapes on the inside of her cheeks. But the worst part is that the side of her face was burned by the acid solution used on her teeth. It left a welt that turned into peeling skin and a scab the next day. The dental hygienist was supposedly not aware of when or how this happened... We can only hope that it won't permanently scar her face. Another issue is we were charged for a service that is covered by our insurance and now we have to wait for reimbursement of that fee. Overall this office seems to lack proper training and professionalism and needless to say, we will be finding a new dentist. read more

Took my 2 1/2 year old for first appointment ever and it went well! We saw Dr. Herrera and for several days after she called him her friend. I talked it up beforehand and after told her how proud I was. She cried a lot during the actual teeth inspection and fluoride treatment, but he was calm and let me hold her while he worked. Overall it went well with a LO. I am pleased she's getting used to this process. Facility was awesome and receptionists were great with insurance documentation. read more

This place is the best! I have never met such an amazing staff!! They are very caring, loving and helpful! I have been taking my 3 boys here for the past 2 1/2 years and I wish I would have found them sooner! The doctors are so caring and handle my boys very well. My youngest had a horrible experience from a previous dentist and this office helped him get over his fear. This is the MOST AMAZING dental office! EVERYONE with kids and even special needs kids need to come here! The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Rosen saw us right at our appointment time so we didn't have to sit and wait. The best part is my son had seen another dentist who said he had two cavities that need to be filled. Dr. Rosen looked and took X-rays and did NOT see ANY cavities! That saved my son the pain and me the money on something that didn't need to be done! We met Dr. Coppola too and he and Dr. Rosen told us about gum and candies that actually help teeth! These doctors are AWESOME! I wish they took adults! read more

I am beyond pleased with this location! The front staff is very efficient and friendly(yvonne is very understanding and able to work with you, she truly cares for the patients) , it's easy to get a hold of them and get your child into the office in a reasonable time frame ( sometimes same day appointments). I love that this office sees you as a person and not another number! Wait? What wait? All appointments that my child has had I have never once waited more than 5 minutes to be called back. The assistant's are wonderful and are just as swift to getcha' back and situated for the Doctor. Dr.Coppola was absolutely brilliant and flawless ! Due to the emergency that arose he was able to fix the situation in a breeze and made my child at ease. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Coppola and his staff and look foward to continuing my childs dental care with Northeast Children's Dentistry (Schertz location). Our first visit was decent... Dr. Coppola senior was amazing, but Dr. Coppola junior was on his phone texting the entire visit. We saw Dr. Rivera on the second visit and were horrified. After looking in her mouth for less than a minute, our not even two year old was told she needed up to nine silver caps and major dental surgery. We took her for a second opinion and the dentist took X-Rays, examined her teeth, and spent a good 5-10 minutes checking each tooth. He saw only one tooth that needed to be watched. Thank goodness our instincts as parents saved us from putting our daughter under anesthesia. We will not be returning to this location. Be wary. read more

I started taking my kids to NE Children's Dentistry before they opened this Schertz location. I wasn't very impressed & was planning to find another dentist, but thought I'd give the new location a try once it opened. I'm so glad I did! My boys have seen 2 dentists here & both were AWESOME! We see Dr. Rivera regularly now & he does such a great job with kids! One of my boys had to get a cap & the other needed a filling & to make it more comfortable for them as he was performing the procedures, Dr. Rivera talked them through every step, let them see & touch the tools he was using, explained the noises they would be hearing & kept telling them what a great job they were doing. He has a really wonderful way with kids. The office is new & modern & all the staff have been very friendly & helpful. My kids don't mind going, but I think the dentists here would be especially great for a child who might be afraid of going to the dentist. Would highly recommend them to anyone! read more
