This is a ZERO STAR: I normally DO NOT post reviews, but I wanted to share my experience with…read moreRafael, the office manager/owner, on Friday, 12/6/2024. STAY AWAY from this place. I strongly advise avoiding this dental office due to unprofessionalism and unethical billing practices. This was my second time bringing my girls here, and it WILL BE the last. I waited over 30 minutes after my appointment for Rafael to speak with me about the balance on my account. I work hard to provide for my family, and being blindsided with an outstanding balance six months after their initial treatment was unacceptable. The office never contacted me about the issue, and instead of taking responsibility for their failure to communicate, Rafael claimed it was my responsibility to track insurance claims and balance was no big deal. Rather than him addressing their clear lack of professionalism, he told me it was my responsibility and "find another dentist." Instead of resolving the issue, this dismissive and unprofessional response shows his priority to avoid accountability over ensuring his clients are treated with respect and fairness. Billing transparency and clear communication are basic expectations in any healthcare setting, and this office has failed miserably on both counts. If you value honesty, professionalism, and reliable dental care, I would highly recommend staying FAR AWAY from this place and find a more ethical and client-centered practice. This experience was frustrating, disappointing, and entirely avoidable, and I hope no one else endures such poor treatment.

GREAT STAFF ALL but a special thanks to I know I'm probably spelling this wrong but she told my daughter it was okay to call her this Helos (OLAF) SHES AMAZING. Explained everything to my nine-year-old to the point where she understood and was not nervous at all took extra time with her she even got a popsicle at the end no bad experiences from this dentist at all which is a plus when it comes to a child.THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!See you next time.

No parent should be comfortable using this dentist's office. My son went in to extract a baby tooth…read moreand the dentist on call said that he would make an appointment to seal my child's teeth and put him UNDER anesthesia in two weeks to extract the small tooth which is NOT attached to any root. He said he was going to gas my son and put him under, because pulling the baby tooth would be too traumatic for my son. He said this in front of my very sensitive son and my wife. I am a middle school teacher, with training in childhood trauma and I have worked with CPS and as a trauma team liason and this doctor had the audacity to imply that my wife and myself were trying to traumatize our child, in front of our child. Worse, to try and guilt us as parents into allowing A TRAUMATIC AND UNNECESSARY PROCEDURE ON OUR INNOCENT CHILD, so they could justify billing us more. I wonder how many childhood psychology degrees are on the walls in this office? The LAST thing you do is tell a child that they are traumatized if you are unqualified to do so. Certainly though, the staff lacks manners and common decency. If you want to scar your children and have your basic parenting questioned so that these people can use your child like a walking dollar sign, please, take your child here. IF, however, you care about the healthy and wholesome development of your child NEVER take your child here. They clearly do not care about you OR your kids.

The ladies at the front desk are absolutely amazing and patient so I have nothing negative towards them. We did have decent experiences in the past but this last dental visit could not have gone worse. They had my daughter X-ray both visits within 2 weeks without my permission but don't try to tell them anything about it because you'll be labeled combative. They don't warn you about the dangers of over exposure to radiation. The doctors will add anything they can onto your invoice to make more money. The worst part of this entire situation is that the owner/head dentist Dr. Burns spoke so down/degrading to me when I had questions about my daughter's procedure. Let's just say I know for a fact he would have never spoken down the same way he spoke to me if it were my daughter's father or another male. I was told I'd be reimbursed for the multiple x-rays and other things that were added on unnecessarily. Al Burns may not be used to parents or a strong educated female actually advocating for their child or getting called out for unnecessary charges and unsafe practices but he sure knows how to speak absolutely degrading to women. I was quoted before anything took place and somehow our bill turned out a LOT higher than what was originally quoted just for a capped tooth! Be careful on what all you're invoiced for because Alligator Dental tries to sneak in whatever they can to make more money. Greed! You should also be educated about the dangers of repeated X-ray exposure and be asked for consent before anything is done to your child! No apology was ever given and I have still not been credited for the things I was told I'd be credited for. Again, billing lady rocks and was nothing but respectful!

After going to this dentist for about 13 -14 years I finally have hit something that I cannot stay…read morequiet about . We fell in love with dr Velez. He was amazing . So when the practice was sold it broke our hearts but we kept coming because the staff was great: however this past year things have shifted . The staff isn't warm and kind ... it's weird. My oldest has always had issues with his teeth . He has a heart condition that causes teeth issues and he has adhd . They started asking me to do 3 month cleanings which I paid for some out of pocket ... but when he was 17 I said no more . He needed to be responsible and clean them well . The office refused to see him if I didn't schedule and pay out of pocket for a 3 month cleaning they wouldn't see him for the 6 month . What? Then my daughters needed some fillings and sealants done . They called to confirm and I said my youngest would be there but I wasn't sure about my other daughter since she had to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital. To which they said well if she isn't there it will be a charge for not cancelling 72 hours in advance . Maybe you want to cancel . I did cancel but am floored that it's 2022 and we are pretending that mental health isn't important ? So if my daughter was admitted the day before her dentist appointment y'all would charge me a fee for not cancelling 72 hours in advance ?!?! I was appalled so I called back to talk to a manager . Which was pointless . She said yes that's our policy and she's just trying to relay the policy to you , I stated that mental health is unavoidable and that if my daughter is under psychiatric care it isn't my decision nor do I know when she will be released. But that suicide is serious and I can't believe that she would have her staff be so calloused and unkind about mental health issues . She basically told me I was being sensitive because of my situation and it's just an office policy , then said are you there. I said yes I am just really and she hung up the phone. This is disgusting . It is appalling . You are a pediatric dentist who cares more about keeping all appointments full. I understand policy but there is also humanity . Seriously DO BETTER

I had a very frustrating experience with this office and won't be returning…read more My son's dental crown has come off multiple times. Once it came off on its own, another time while he was eating a sandwich, and most recently while eating a cookie. We have followed the instructions to avoid sticky and chewy foods, so I don't understand why it continues to happen. When the crown came off again, I tried to call the office but couldn't reach a person. I was forced to use the automated system, which made it difficult to explain that this was a recurring issue. I took a day off work for the appointment. We were there from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., only to be told that they would simply look at the tooth and that we would need to come back later that same day to have the crown re-cemented. We were scheduled for 3:00 p.m., which turned what should have been one visit into an all-day inconvenience with multiple 30-minute drives. Despite the office having a 10-minute grace period, I arrived at 3:05 p.m. after unexpected traffic, and the front desk staff made a point of criticizing me for being five minutes late. That felt unnecessary and unprofessional, especially considering I then sat in the treatment room for another 25 minutes waiting for the dentist. During the visit, the dental assistant commented that there was no cement residue left inside my son's crown and said that was unusual. That left me questioning whether the crown had been properly cemented in the first place. Overall, I found the office disorganized, inefficient, and unfriendly. Between the repeated crown failures, the difficulty contacting the office, the wasted time, and the way we were treated, I cannot recommend this practice. I would encourage other families to consider other options.
