Northeast Factory Direct has been a blessing to this community since they opened! We have purchased 2 bedroom sets and our outdoor patio furniture from the Macedonia location. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I went in as a representative of our local high school PTSA in mid-November and asked if they might consider making a donation for our teacher's lounge at the high school. We are trying to give the staff there a boost and, of course, are always very budget-conscious. Natalie walked around with me and offered a couch and a coffee table that worked perfectly. We purchased a couch and recliner less than a year ago. Six months after purchase the the back of the couch collapsed. We contacted Northeast factory direct on Macedonia to inform them. They sent out a company that repairs furniture. We have been waiting for three months for the repair. The service from northeast is a joke and we are not happy. We also were told that we actually received the floor model and not a new one, so that is probably why it broke down so quickly. Not happy If I could I would rate them a zero. read more

Josh was kind, knowledgeable, and easy to work with when planning our kitchen redo. Tim and Bob also stepped in to help with the layout and tweaks when Josh was off. I went back many, many times to make alterations, and I was always greeted with a smile and "Sure! Let's keep working on it until you're happy!" Furniture is nice but we ordered it May 3 and delivery wasn't complete until July 17. In the process our floor was damaged and now I am trying to work with their insurance company to get it repaired. The hard part is no one calls me. Even the manager said he would call me and he never did. I had to keep calling to see where my furniture was and when it was going to be delivered. Part of the order was in and they would send text messages at 6 am telling me to call to set up a delivery date. I would call and we would figure out all 5 pieces weren't in a a few days later they would text again. They don't look at the sales slip before they send a text. I probably got 20 texts. Furniture is nice but not worth the 11 week wait and all the calls and texts. Won't shop here again. read more

Love this place! When you walk in, you get a welcoming feeling and greeting. They give you the chance to look around with no pressure. Everyone at other furniture store want to hold your hand the whole time; no one wants that. We ordered our furniture, they they tell you straight that it will take a longer time because of the delays with manufacturing from covid. People who think it's an excuse, are just impatient and selfish. If you need furniture, don't want till the last minute and them complain about the wait! Supply chain is messed up and this company can't do anything to make it go faster. Luckily, there's a great selection of pieces that are in stock or floor models they have available! They have so many custom pieces and we chose from their USA made company, which we chose the colors/fabric and configuration we wanted. I purchased a sectional from this location. Not only is it defective but they won't stand behind their products. From day one this sectional wouldn't stay together and they have sent out furniture technicians to fix it but they haven't fixed a thing. Now it's been over two months of them dodging our phone calls and blowing us off. I even offered to let them keep some of my money and just return the sectional. They told me I purchased a good quality piece I would really hate to see a base quality piece from them. Don't shop here the furniture is poor quality just like the management. read more

I honestly don't get these ratings. We had an excellent experience. Amazing diverse selection, no pushy sales people and the best prices I've seen locally in a furniture store. My family went here looking for a few things. We're so used to having to go to several, several places before we find anything we like. In what could in short be called a Christmas miracle, we found everything we were looking for (and more) within an hour. The prices are VERY reasonable here. Keep in mind, if you are shopping here, ALL the shipping will inevitably take 2-6 weeks. This is a pretty huge place with multiple locations and your piece will ship to you from their nearest warehouse. You're getting a wonderful price for a high quality item so exert some patience. If you need something immediately you may need to look elsewhere. Living with chronic pain can make it very hard to find suitable furniture. I never, ever wanted a recliner in my place (not my aesthetic at all), but we found this gorgeous, electric recliner that has multiple back support tools. The best part is it is compact, slim, not manly looking, a great color for my scheme, and doesn't look like a recliner when sitting up. I'm looking forward to it arriving. The commercials say " we buy by the truckload " and they also claim to have most of it in stock. I went to the store multiple times, picked out 5 couches and of course they didn't have any of them. You can order and have it delivered in 4-6 weeks he kept telling me... The salesman kept pushing me to check out the ugly recliner couch that was in stock. Then I figured I would get the patio furniture I had just seen on the FOX8 tv commercial, where he said it was in stock... Nope, sorry we don't stock that! Had a kitchen remodel done with Macedonia location. People at nefd were fine, cabinets are pretty nice but avoid using the contractor "fit to finish". They sucked and we ended up dumping them since they were so bad and not timely. Never had a contractor test me so bad and act as if they're doing me a favor. Ended up with a different contractor that was attentive and at the end actually save me a few dollars. In all, nefd was fine. But avoid fit to finish at all costs. read more

We remodeled our kitchen in 2018. The cabinets were a better price than other estimates. Within a couple of years, the cabinets buckled around the edges. The cabinet dealer that sells to Northeast Factory offers a lifetime warranty. After providing all information requested on replacements for these cabinets, my emails have gone unanswered by both Northeast factory and the cabinet maker who guaranteed a lifetime warranty. So, while the design and appearance of my kitchen was great, the quality is not good and I will have to pay myself to replace my cabinets again. You get what you pay for. read more

I had never been to Northeast Factory Direct but knew of them from TV and Radio ads. Searching their website, I found they could order a sofa I had seen at another furniture store, so I called Northeast to find out more about it. I was shocked that their price was $1,000 less than the other furniture store's sale price! I went to the Macedonia store to see what fabric or leather I could order the sofa in. I was greeted right away and directed to the fabric samples by a friendly sales associate (that I later learned was the store manager!) He left me alone to look at all the fabric samples - but was always nearby to answer any questions I had. I loved that he never breathed down my neck or pressured me in any way. While I was picking fabrics, my husband killed time by looking at the huge inventory they have in the store. He came and got me to see a sofa he found on the floor that he thought I might like. It was gorgeous and a real statement-maker! It wasn't like anything we had seen before - or thought we might buy. Incredibly high quality. It was on clearance since they weren't going to stock that brand in the store in the future. Tom (the manager) even "held" the sofa for us while I ran home to get some paint chips and fabric samples to make sure this floor sample would match with other colors and patterns in our room. Poor customer service follow up in the cabinet area. We were in store twice. The first time they were too busy to talk with us and our phone number was given, but no return call was ever made. The second time, we made an appointment for cabinet estimate. The store associate did help with an initial estimate and was supposed to email us an additional estimate on another model. There were no emails or further calls from Northeast Factory Direct with additional info, so we took our business elsewhere. read more

I placed my furniture order August 15, 2020. A couch, loveseat, 2 end tables. Paid in full for my furniture (3,086.00) I was told I'd have my furniture around 4 to 6 weeks, may be a slight delay due to covid (I totally get that) by 3rd week October 2020 I called customer service to get an update. They told me it was pushed to 2nd week of November. I called 2nd week November, they sd 3rd week December. I CALLED ONCE AGAIN (you would think Customer service would update people, NO.) They told me couch andc2 end tables came in but not my loveseat. I demanded they at least deliver those and I Scheduled and received them 3 days later. Was told loveseat would be in around 2nd week of January 2021. Of course I called to find out status, they told me April 2021, I got heated with them, they sd i was now 11th on list but they pushed my order up to 5th (whatever that means) and sd it would be 1st week of March for sure. (Yeah sure). I have not received my missing loveseat itbis February 20th. I'll be calling Monday to see if it's still on time for 1st week of March. I get the Covid delay, I get that it's the Manufacturer who is causing delay, but for their customer service dept to not communicate with customers and keep people updated on delays, that's just bad business. I've been in customer service for 30+ years and would never not communicate people with delivery status changes. Its not acceptable. On another note. Sales folks were extremely friendly and attentive. If I hadn't fallen in love with this furniture I would have got my money back and went elsewhere. read more

Just an update, late but worthwhile just the same. Much to my surprise they came to pick up the faulty lift chair and refunded our money after they received verification of the pick up. Just a word of warning: this company uses Wells Fargo for longer term furniture financing. Our experience is they are still questionable in how they deal with people. Go shorter term - avoid Wells Fargo. Notheast did work to resolve their end of the deal. read more

Should be Zero stars.... I received cabinets from NEFD ordered from the Macedonia store and designer An_____ in July 2019. A blind base cabinet was ordered incorrectly and rather that waiting a month for a replacement I adjusted the cabinet placement and NEFD said they would replace the drawer and door to make it look right with the necessary cabinet modification being at my cost. This was only after being ridiculed in the store by the designer because some how this was my fault. Never did receive an apology. After 15 (yes fifteen) months and 30 + emails and countless phone calls, their parts customer service manager still cannot get it right and now will not even return emails let alone read them. I have tried to communicate with the cabinetry manager and well as Alex Nemet NEFD owner, but local store managers circle the wagons and indicate they do not speak to the public. If you ask to speak to Alex at a store they actually say "who is he?" In theory the parts are ordered once again for the 5th or 6th time along with a different cabinet door that now warped. Their prices were competitive, their service is a complete zero and the way management hides from problems is embarrassing. There is no ownership. Far from their radio advertising commitments. Go to a store where people take ownership. Other Cleveland retailers sell the same cabinets for the same prices. I wish I would have purchased elsewhere to have a completed kitchen in less than 15 months. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!! LIES, LIES AND MORE LIES..... I would give 5 negative stars if I could Unless you have months to wait for your new furniture do not shop here!!! We were informed that it would take 4-6 weeks however after 8 weeks waiting on our bedroom set we were told it would take an additional 6 weeks and that could change to even longer. The biggest disappointment is we found this set online and if they are unable to deliver than it should not be offered. Instead they take your money and every time you call and ask for an update all they say is what you want to hear and not the truth. What a very dishonest company. The owner of this company should be ashamed of how his employees treat the customers, his customer service is sub par and you have to keep calling them, they will not call you to keep you informed. They should be ashamed of taking peoples hard earned money. I will never spend another penny here and just found out a family member was about to go back and purchase new furniture through them. This was conveniently never told to me during the 3 week waiting period to receive an update, and I'm honestly not sure I'd ever have received an update if I hadn't called after 3 weeks (out of a possible 6!) Finally the shipment was scheduled and arrived...AFTER THREE MONTHS OF WAITING. I got a call from """Quality""" Delivery Services who not only didn't confirm my name, but also barely confirmed my address. This occurred twice as working during the week is apparently a foreign concept to this company. I didn't receive a timeframe for my delivery until about 8pm the previous evening. During the delivery the individuals were fairly professional. However I soon learned this was a sham, and no less than 3 days after I received the couch, with less than an hour of combined sitting time, the recline mechanism was broken due to god-knows-what horrible thing happened to it during transit or delivery. It was all an internal problem of course, nearly invisible to the naked eye and my once-over upon receipt. It's very clear this was not a manufacturing defect; it could only happen due to poor treatment. So for all of this trouble, I received... wait for it.. a $25 gift card TO NORTHEAST FACTORY DIRECT and a promise to refund $50, which as far as I can tell never occurred. First of all, this purchase was nearly $1400. If I'd received all the compensation, it would be right around 5%. FIVE. PERCENT. But because I didn't get the $50 refund, it comes out to a measly 2%. TWO. PERCENT. And that two percent is something I would never dream of even regifting to anyone. To recap: They didn't let me know the item I ordered was on backorder for 3 weeks, after which time they told me it'd be easily another month, delivery setup took it out to 3, and the thing broke after 3 days and less than an hour of use, due to delivery negligence. I had just purchased a home and in need of a new living room set. I went to the store and decided to buy the full set a couch, loveseat, and accent chair. They called to tell me my stuff was ready to be delivered. Turned out they only had the couch ready. I was told the rest of the order would be in a few weeks. Well over a month later I have called multiple times and told to speak to a different person each time, left a message on the website for someone to talk to, and left several voicemail messages. Buyer Beware--I purchased four cabinets for a closet this this summer. When I went in I work with Tim who was in design. I told Tim I want just several cabinets for a new closet. It was a new smaller built out closet and I came in with all the dimensions. He had put together a design and marked on sheet with all the dimension. I said I would take take it home to be sure. I called several days later and ask to go ahead and pay and go forward With the design. I was informed I needed to come in sign some papers and couldn't pay over the phone - no problem! I came in the next day and when I did Tim told me he was thinking and we could make the cabinets smaller - he proceed to tell me there was an 18 in deep , a 21 in deep and then what I had which is a standard 24in deep . cabinet. So I said sure lets do a 21 inch. we finished up and when I went to pay I noticed the price had gone up several thousand dollars. I quickly told Tim that was issue. He then told me yes there in a price increase - stating you pay more for less cabinet isn't that funny. I quickly reminded him of budget and he said no problem he would go back into the computer and revert back to the standard cabinets we had on the sheet originally. I paid- I signed papers and off I went. Cabinets arrived and one cabinet must have not be adjusted in the computer as it was 21 in deep. No problem. I called Tim up and as I reminded him of our conversation he did recall. However when I ask for another cabinet to be exchanged he told me it would be at my cost and that I had sign off on the specs. I told I went off the what he had written on the paper and our discussion and that I am not trained to read pages of specs. He then told me I was just trying to get money and that he didn't appreciate how I was talking to him . I never raised my voice - I did tell him that I was clear in the beginning and I was on budget and I'm not sure why I would have to pay for his mistake. He told he didn't make a mistake . I ask him why I would want uneven cabinets and he said he wasn't sure (even though I have his hand written sketch with the measure mens) in the end he told me that I was at fault by signing the papers . He then called back 1/2 an hour later- I missed the call but I was hoping he maybe had a solution so I called back 4 times and left message in the next two weeks with no response. I then called the store and ask for a manager. I was told he was the manager. I stated I thought he was the designer. I was told he is manager and designer they had lost some people and he did both. I ask for someone above him and was told there wasn't. I then call mentors location and they put me in touch with customer service . Customer service tried to look for another cabinet that size and they didn't have so they offered that I pay for a new cabinet as results. unfortunately I don't have a few thousand to throw around for a mistake and now I'm I have a bank of cabinets I'm trying to sell. first and last time using this company. We had a complete kitchen don in Sept. 2019. We spent over $22,000 on cabinets and granite. The only thing that went well was the granite and back plash because it was from a different company. The preferred installer they gave us installed the cabinets crooked. We had to point it out to them and they did come back and put them in straight so we could get our granite counter tops. The cabinet finish literally began to bubble and peel within 10 months. I told them we don't even have any kids living with us. It is just my husband and I and we don't abuse our stuff. At first they tried to say it was how I cleaned them. I told them that is strange because I only used a very slightly damp cloth with no cleaner, like they recommended. The manager actually then told me we were not the only ones, but they would do nothing but replace them with the same doors. It is now March 2021, and we are still waiting for a replacement door and yet another door to the lazy susan has begun to peel/bubble. Bottom line, the cabinets are not the best, and if you don't call back or write constantly, you will never ever get any help. Looks like Alex should rethink his commercials or change his customer service and products. read more
