Neither big box retailer could tell me much about their tubs except for price and obvious things such as 1yr warranty but they didn't know how that worked or the fine print details, or anything about their service after install etc. Notable was that they did disclose that they "neatly leave the packaging / trash for the consumer to discard"- What?! Then remembered The Place in Medina, Ohio. So glad I went this route. Rex Brown was very knowledgeable, he answered All of my questions and concerns (that no one else could and other info. that I couldn't get online). The Place has a large inventory of Hot tubs. Like most stores, big box or small retailers they have a limited amount of Plug n Play units but more than most that I went to, and they carry the BEST plug n play model on the market: The Dream Maker and at an affordable price too. The difference with The Place and Big box stores, is that The Place knows their products and stand behind them! It is a family-owned company-(buy local). They have a repair shop on sight, their own repair guys/employees (unlike big box- once you get it home - after warranty-it's on you to get it fixed). The Place also carries any accessories, like filters and chemicals that you may need for your hot tub. The transaction was GREAT from start to finish, (no gimmicks, no delays, no bait and switch). The delivery and set up was quick and very professional; they left no trace of packaging material aside from my beautiful hot tub you would never know they were there! I couldn't be happier- I highly recommend Rex Brown and The Place in Medina Oh.

That was immensely helpful when I was getting the hang of the new hot tub. I highly recommend this business. They stand by their product and provide support to the customer for years.

Their better business has been REVOKED and had an "F"!!!! Ohio Swims / American Construction has ongoing lawsuits from multiple customers. They are professionals at being sued and experts of deceit. Do NOT trust Bill Foster in anything he says. In our experience he is truly a CONMAN and running a fraudulent business. Do not trust Erika either. She will tell you what you want to hear. We do not understand how he is still in business based on the ongoing lawsuits and issues. He talks a good talk but please do not believe him. We were also fooled and paid the price. Our pool has taken over two years to be done and was never fully finished. It was to be six months. It was a nightmare beyond our wildest dreams of how bad it could be. We were forced to call a thousand times and beg for a response and action. We would be ignored for days, weeks and months. We consider ourselves lucky to have done what was done and believe it was due to the persistent ongoing follow up from my husband. At times we gave up due to getting so tired of the game. We would get extra charges for nonsense. The charges would be sent out of the blue. Pay close attention to the quote and contract because as time goes on you realize a lot of the contract charges are bogus. For example, we paid for salt water system but they never installed it. We never had a project manager. Maybe a year in we got one but he didn't last. We then got another. And then another. And then another. Explaining and providing clear details of open items and any issues. They all quickly learned and left because of the incredible lack of ethics of Bill Foster and company. We have a long list of the issues. Our grout and plaster is terrible. Holes and gaps all over. Coping had no grout at all. The placement of the equipment is ridiculous. Our pool continues to leak. We have unfinished items and safety concerns. This is only a snippet. Do you want a hole to be dug and then wait over a year for action to be taken? Do you want your backyard to be a hazard and when your pool is going to be built, have the guys put it in the wrong place? Do you want them to re-dig everything as they forgot to put in water lines? Do you want them to have to re-dig up the gas lines as it was down wrong? Do you want a company who doesn't have their employees use an accurate drawing? Then, when you try to get a true copy, you get charged an extra $1500? Do you want workers to show up with the wrong color plaster - completely wrong - and thank goodness you are there to catch it? Do you want to have to be home to oversee and make sure things do not get done wrong? We were forced to take time off work and be home on multiple occasions due to the ongoing errors every time they would show up. Constant and excessive hand holding. IF the pool would have been done great and perfect and we waited for over 2 years with no communication and direction and lived a nightmare, then that's one thing. At least we would have this. However this was NOT the case and we are afraid of not only the visual issues but what about the issues we cannot see? We live in the same area as the pool company within 20 minutes. I can't imagine if you are of distance. Good luck. Also, nobody will fix it if they hear Bill Foster is connected. He has a reputation. Ask around. PLEASE BELIEVE THIS and other bad reviews. Our family does not want the same thing to happen to other families. Your hard earned money should not be stolen from this company. With the Better Business revoked this year this alone should alert there is a major issue with this company. In Jan 2025 we were told paperwork had been submitted "yesterday," contradicting prior assurances. - Permitting (Winter-Spring 2025): The City issued adjudication orders and the permit was not approved until May 2025--~10 months after signing. (We can provide documentation if needed.) - No on-site work (through July 2025): Despite promises of a March start, there was still no crew on site and no schedule we could rely on. - Shell left exposed: The fiberglass shell sat outside uncovered for months with no start date in sight. We ultimately had them drop the shell at our property while we hired another installer to complete the project. Bottom line: After 13 months, aside from dropping the shell at our home, no installation work was performed. Communication was pleasant at times, but pleasant texts don't build pools. We would not hire again and do not recommend. And they have more than just plants. Landscaping material, stones bricks statues patio furniture etc. and prices on most items that beat walmart easily. Add in the quality of what they sell, and the honest interest the staff shows for the customer, and you have a place that is exactly what I want when doing something as important as buying plants and landscaping materials for the house, or for your apartment patio or deck.
