He told me he could get me a junk yard engine for $2000 and the work would be another $1000. I considered it since the rest of the vehicle is in good shape, but something seemed off. I decided to take my car to Lindfields to verify. Turns out that it was a cracked plug, which fried the coil (and my compression was fine) $300 later and my vehicle is running good. Never again and I am warning everyone I know (including TP) to never trust L&D!!!!!!!

We live out of town, so made arrangements to come in on a weekday with photo ID to get the records. We were then told that the car registration matching the photo id wasn't enough proof of ownership, we needed to bring the actual TITLE in with us. Car dealers have direct access to DMV records. They could have looked up the registration by entering the license plate number (though we had the paper with us) and would have seen the same names. All we wanted to know was if the timing belt had been changed, HIPPA laws are not applicable to cars. We had proof of ownership, (the same proof of ownership required by law enforcement to release a car to someone.) We can not check with the previous owner, as my father passed away last year and we have been unsuccessful in locating his records. We were not looking for anything "above and beyond" just a simple yes or no answer, so we didn't needlessly repeat an expensive service.

Decided to take it to my own mechanic at Tallmans in Rome to take a look at it and they had zero issue with the plug. Plus, the only people who have touched the plug is your service team, and even Tallmans think it's your mistake and you should pay for it. I know I am a woman who knows nothing about cars, but I know when I'm being lied to. I'll be leaving a review too and never coming here again. I think it's gross to try and scam people when everything else is so expensive.
